    very cool repair. one suggestion, to put some shrink tubing on the thermostat connections to help keep it coming disconnected again

    Absolutely great video bud!!! im an auto tech over here in illinois. I don't work on too many jaguars but its good to know about the thermostat getting disconnected, could possibly make a future diagnosis super easy for me! thank you!!!
    also MAJOR PROPS ON USING EYE PROTECTION!.. LOL those hog-clips can suddenly move 1,387,389 mph straight towards an eye ball! 😂😂😂

    Hey buddy amazing video question are you in the New York area I have a pioneer SX 1250 that I would like for you to look at it plays well but the lights in the front and sometimes I get a little static from the left speaker when they playing.

    Yes, those thermostats are tend to fail after some thousand of on-off cycle depending on the build quality. But I guess, that should be okay for a car seat.

    why couldn't you just solder the wires back to the old thermostat and not replace anything?

      The old thermostat was not just disconnected but also defective.

      It sounds kind of difficult to find the right thermostat. All four of my Jaguar xj8 seats are not working. Does that seem odd? Its a 2001. The back seats have very little wear. I checked the fuses.
