I have question, unstable oil only active when you adjacent to the enemy right ?. in your last attack with dagan punishment 16:36 you have gap 0,5 meter with your enemy so the unstable oil deactivated. correct me if i'm wrong about game mechanic🙂
You are absolutely right. You need to be touching the square where the enemy is. Just fyi, ranged skills also trigger it, if you are close. Like the assassin's right between the eyes skill.
Your min-maxing is amazing! How nice to see a player who, like you, is well versed in the game. Excellent builds! I will wait from you for the next guides for other classes)
@@hexxatgaming I just have one question: how did you get 36% base crit chance on 2-hand Brute? This is a lot, for levels and a nickname you can’t get so much. How many events did you have in the camp to achieve such a result?
I'm not sure how many events exactly, but she does get them fairly often because she kills the most enemies, basically every fight. There's some % hidden in the base from her 25 dex as well. Oh, and willpower gives a few points too.
I think you can min/max better by putting your lvl-up points in critical hit rather than in strength/dexterity. That derives from the facts that strength bonuses to critical damage are capped at +30% (reached wit 48 strength by a ratio of *0,6 - dex bonuses are capped at +30% crit chance and the same ratio, too). But every point in critical hit doesn't give you only +1% critical hit chance. But also +1% critical damage. And with a ratio of 1,0 (instead of 0,6). Uncapped. Layers and professions could be optimized towards + critical hit the same way (it's all about the + crit damage that scales with + critical hit). All in all it's not a game changer, but even only allocating attribute points in a min-maxed way it's up to +22% more crit chance and +22% more crit damage vs. up to plain damage bonuses via +22 strength. p.s. Don't get me wrong. You got a great set-up and it's superior to most other set-ups (e.g. your unstable oil)! But you could tweak it just a bit more. p.p.s. Enemy level scaling works correctly and the same way as enemy attribute stats are improved on expert difficulty. It's the *1,2 ratio. So if your group is a lvl-6-party, your enemies are at lvl "7,2". But the game rounds up for most parts, and so they get lvl 8 instead (or at least some of them).
Full crit is good on dagons hammer to reach 100% crit. On the one-handed unique mace best is full str so that you can activate the 100% crit on the mace. Also str itself gives crit damage as well as base damage. Cheers
I never bothered with Deafening Roar either. It's waaay too situational, and I feel like more often than not I'd be pushing enemies in directions I don't want them to go.
1:00 How much str do you need to get the 1h-mace online, I think you can check in a battle if you right click the enemies? I didn't know about the mace and spent 4 points in movement since I'm going for whole team 16 and one point in crit. Also he's my cook. Should I look for another dude or just put point in str now and it should be enough? He wasn't a starting unit so he already got 15 will passively and managed to get glorious. My secon "brute" is a wrongdoer prisoner in heavy armor. I wanted the 30% crit dmg buff for my whole team and since I'm going 12 mercs 2 of each class I just replaced her as my second brute. I have been using here with dagan's 2-handed hammer and the "small gauntlet" trinket which increased the base attack by 50%, pretty sweet for a unit which can only use it's base skill anyways. What do you think of the new brute passiv "overwhelming presence"? I think it's ideal for a dagan's hammer destroyer brute? 8:00 yes all my fight are also scaled higher by 1-2 lvls than my party, no idea why. All my dudes are lvl 6 and I have my inventory full of items for lvl 7 and 8 which I can't wear.
@@MrFirestalker So yeah don't worry about minmaxing the stats, it should work if you put everything in str from now. Definitely make him blacksmith, you need a bunch of crafting to level your path anyway. Wrongdoer is pretty nice, I was gonna get one just to make a video of the highest damage my guys can do. As for the new passive, Im not sure its working correctly, and the other passives are just too good to pass.
For a returning player a lot of what you talk about is new and confusing. I don't dare to imagine what it must be for someone that just got the game. Would be nice if you could include a list of items and where to get them in your description. Or make a video on those things alone. These are the items I want for my group. These are the places and lvl suggestions for when and where to get them. These are the locations you can get the recipies for the oils or where you unlock new professions.
What us the requirement to use 2 oils? Is only specific weapon or weapon level can use 2 oil? Or is there a specific combination of two oils that can be used on a weapon?
Id say after 80% crit buffed, you can put points in str. For willpower, its up to you, I dont ever spend points in willpower. If you find somone with we 12 willpower, you can get lute for +1 like @Jackal Craver said, and also +2 from tyrannical. To unlock that trait, you need to take a lot of prisoners with the particular character.
Nice video about Brute class, will be please also possible include, how to distribute points. What I understood that blacksmith profession is giving you +10 STR when maxed. This will help with the mace crit as you have to have STR bigger than target. What do you think about miner profession (Str+Con) +5 STR + 7CON for Brute tank? When it comes to tinkerer profession, this one is not easy to level up. Did you have this brute (vanguard) from the beginning or have you changed profession once you found the right one?
Did you watch the whole video? I did say full str on mace and shield brute. Exept for 2 levels in movement. Con is a trash stat. You don't need it. And yea, I switched Vanguard to tinkerer when I got her. She's not master but it doesn't matter since she has 85% crit.
I have two questions about unstable oil: does it only proc on adjacent enemy? Does it work with Gosenberg boss spear? I mean spear lets you disengage for free and then aoo will engage you again or not?
Hi! I see you build for Crit on Dagans hammer, you mentioned it also in an other video, could you explain why it is so important? Is it related to the multi hit?
@@hexxatgaming ok but i am not getting why Crit and not str for the Dagan.. ideally you want both but If you have to divide your points, I wondered if there is a different optimal str/Crit for Dagan than a one hit weapon
You have a good eye! She is a ranger, found her recently. She got solitary and nimble. I wanna see how she performs compared to the others, and maybe Ill showcase her in the Ultimate ranger guide!

With Wartales hitting Gamepass, I hope there is enough attention for you to do more content on it, your guides are the best out there. Thank you.
Great video looking forward to the next char guide

Thanks for your great input!
Currently at lvl8, I’m using strength oil and +crit. STR oil keeps sure that I can also roflstomp high STR fighters.
Unstable oil gives u 25% (50 with belt accessories) to do 100% str dmg (+extra from camp buff and trait). You can get im Ludern tomb.
Really appreciated this guide for Wartales. Hope to see more covering the rest of the classes you use in your other videos.
Next up is swordsman! And thanks for the warm comment!

Tomb of the ancients in Arthes for 1 hand. 2 hand again from the tomb but in Tiltren

You need to crit every hit if possible. The devs nerfed the hell out of the poor Dagan.

I'm confused. What vulnerability? Dagans hammer is the aoe weapon.
0:56 why u using sharpening oil if your mace already guarantee crits
Because the other 2 attacks can use some crit chance, since we are not investing in crit attributes at all.
How are you able to pump your attributes so high, my numbers are much much lower in your level
Are we playing the same game? I mean how do you get 4 skills in yout passive skill rows?
Haha. It's lvl 12 specialization skills that allow to pick up an extra passive skill.
Great guide, but tbh I'd rather fight and think about my moves than just one shot everything xD
