Keep in mind that this family heritage comes from one of the many regions of the world that uses lots of color. The designers design, but the clients have the final say. And this is wonderful proof that you should make your place look and feel the way you want and not worry about what people will think about it. Kudos to the designers for giving them what they paid for.
The main floor's spaces are a lot of white (walls, ceilings, drapes) for someone who requested color. The colors seem like an accessory, not the main mood.
I am in awe because blending so much patterns together yet to pull off a sophisticated look is definitely challenging. She had done a great job!!! I am most impressed with the homework room it can be a great place for kids to play board games. I want to move into the house!!!
Wow there is so much whimsy, yet sophistication in this space. You have to be really talented to be able to layer all these patterns so effortlessly. Bravo!
I am not a big fan of a lot of color in an interior but omg this home looks amazing. I love everything about it. Kudos to the designer; she did an incredible job. I am in love with the gorgous rug in the living area. A big wow is this home.
Each to his own I guess. For me this decor is what I imagine would happen if I told an interior designer (if I could afford one) to just go for it. The mismatched ceiling and wall in the room with the bunks gave me major anxiety, but she says it makes sense in her head. 🤷🏿♀️
I really love that H&H is showcasing bold colors. The whites and muteds are going to look super outdated in just a few years, and many people don't like that look now even though it's currently what's "on trend"
client wanted color...so the whole main space is cream/off white/beige. sorry, i love colors and use them boldly but that powder room is just a no for me. the girl's room is another no-wrong placement of the bed for starters. the boys rooms feel like a hotel and lack boyish vibe. of course our opinions dont matter as long as clients r happy but to me, this house would be on the list of "crazy miss-matched design"
Same... and not overly impressed with the furniture shapes and colour choices. Don't know why I was expecting something more vibrant, but this doesn't read vibrant to me nor sophisticated as the decorator keeps saying.
She mentioned that this video was shot a year after, and everything's still the same. The clients love it, they've lived in it for a year, they're happy! Guess the so-called hotel feel isn't so bad after all!
Very quirky. Not my style but I'm happy for them if that's what they wanted. Different and beautiful in its own way. Interior design is like art. Some styles the majority of people love and others most people hate. However there will be people who love cubism for example.
Loooove all these rooms, every one of the bedrooms esp the colours and patterns in the eldest son's rooms spoke to me on a personal level. I also loved the unique pendant lights above the dining table mostly because it's not the industrial-esque or "radiating-star" type pendants that most houses showcased here have. Grreat job miss designer!
This is truly a work of art! It is so refreshing to see unique and creative home decor. There were so many wonderful moments of creative design elements that I just love... I can barely articulate what I want to say about the experience of watching this masterpiece come together. The principal bedroom and powder room. Stunning. I just love it!!! Thank you very much for sharing!
I love the colours and the complete look even though the look is not my style atheistic. I'm not a fan of curved furniture but this house is a complete look. Well done! I Love, love the outdoor area!
This home is everything!! I am obsessed with the mix of color and pattern with neutrals!! Finally decor that has personality now this is design I love it!!
I really like the design, surly someone could splurge so they did.... but it is a WHITE house with a colour here and there. How is it full of colour? Even the powder room is toned despite the patterns used. Btw Granny’s room looks somewhat modest comparing to everything else ....
I grew up in the 70s when southern middle-class elegance meant white walls everywhere. Over the past thirty years or so, we finally embraced color to the point where nothing seemed decorated until the walls were painted blue or yellow or grey or tan. NOW I see a house with white walls and I think "wow... how beautiful... how daring!" LOL. I think I'm going to paint my interior white. Yep, full circle.
What an incredible home! It might not appeal to general masses but remeber, this house was done in a style that matters for the home owner. Respect to the designer for being brave in mix and match colours, textures, and pattern.
There are a lot of modern elements that could make it look cold and it’s great that colour and patterns are used, but it just looks like money was thrown around to change a house that doesn’t suit their style. If this was in a modern high rise with lots of room and high walls I could see this working but not in suburbia. The big kids bedroom looks the best. Even with all the pattern everything blends well and makes sense. I bet it was the easiest one too. I see what the designer was going for in the master, but I just don’t see the luxury. A lot of the furniture looks too big in the space like the couch in the master. But maybe because they have such a big family and need seating that’s why?!! IDK
In 5 years or even a couple of years down the road, this house will look outdated. My personal opinion, but I don't see any harmony nor cohesion in the design. Only space I kind of appreciate is the outdoor space.
What a breath of fresh air! Beyond tired of seeing white walls, white-washed floors, and ultra-anemic-looking spaces. Anyone else noticing that POC tend to utilize color more often in their homes?
You aren't far off with your observations. Colour theory has been encultured through the centuries. In Eastern design the architecture often is more ornate and colorful, as spiritual influences are often referenced and the colour white is attributed to death.
I hope they plan to live there forever. If not than that's a rich family because the home is very custom to them ONLY. I love when designers take pride in their work so good job team👏👏
The GRANDmother got the short end....no rug, one nightstand, her room looks like a basic hotel room. It's too bad because the rest of this house is Fabulous!
The mothers room is the saddest looking room I’ve seen in a while. And so much space but only managed to give their only girl that small room? Lol. The house is a bit tacky. Not mine so meh!
Great job! I looked on the Drop it Modern website for the wallpaper in the girls room couldn't find it. Can you please send me the name of the wallpaper in the little girls room. Thank you,
@t A very good dye invention saw that helps you to change a piece of wood into beautiful arts and then u can decorate your different places with these arts.
Not a kid friendly for me... its kinda vintage /museum ish... its like the sofa or most of the furniture is too oretty to be sat at or get messy with by the kids LOL
omg the custom furniture is HIDEOUS!! I feel bad for the owners who paid for them. I'm sure the designer overcharged like crazy. should not have trusted the designer. the best designs in this channel are from 2017. 2020 houses are the worst -- either unremarkable or plain ugly. Can we bring back some of the tasteful designers from a few years ago?
After a long day at work I would still be made to feel buzy in this house. It feels the designer bought all the left overs of her other projects .
Keep in mind that this family heritage comes from one of the many regions of the world that uses lots of color. The designers design, but the clients have the final say. They literally redesigned the entire home and I’m so grateful to see all the hard work that went into this fun project. It’s absolutely stunning!
The main floor's spaces are a lot of white (walls, ceilings, drapes) for someone who requested color. The colors seem like an accessory, not the main mood.

Hmm, the house looks like a furniture showroom with all of this mix match things around
You stole my words!
Looks like home sense
Wow, I actually like how out of the box but still luxurious this house is. And I like how it doesn't feel cluttered with all the colors.
I am not a big fan of a lot of color in an interior but omg this home looks amazing. I love everything about it. Kudos to the designer; she did an incredible job. I am in love with the gorgous rug in the living area. A big wow is this home.
Totally agree with this comment 👍. The designer can read her clients. Superb and very unique ❤️
Love love love. And that powder room - 30 minutes later I’m still in the powder room. I would have to be dragged out. So gorgeous.
Looove the pendants over the dining table and the oriental inspiration!
finally a house with colourssss, and coloursss that matchesssss with prints!!
Each to his own I guess. For me this decor is what I imagine would happen if I told an interior designer (if I could afford one) to just go for it. The mismatched ceiling and wall in the room with the bunks gave me major anxiety, but she says it makes sense in her head. 🤷🏿♀️

Why didn't they show the kitchen?
Just looks unfinished. No personal elements. That leaves a home feeling like a hotel.
exactly...and i see a messy chaos.. style nowhere

Beautiful 🤩 what a great transformation
I loved everything about it, it felt happy and fun, yet elegant and timeless. Bravo!

Beautiful!!!
I love Ali’s emerald ring! It’s so pretty
This house is gorgeous, the design is very clean and specific!
Extremely stylish, and full of life! Love that master bedroom headboard sooo much!
Interesting 🤔. I love colors but this is like a color splash on every pieces on the house. Hope the owner like it.

But what about the kitchen? Isn't that one of the most important rooms?
i love how each room has its own flair & character but its a hit or miss for me like some r just the perfect blend & some r be abit too overwhelming
the wallpaper in the bathroom is fantastic, but that mirror shouldn't be there.
bedroom headboard is great, but wrong rug. just poor designs all over.
The bedroom is my dream! Well done!

how beautiful!
no kitchen? :(
I like the different colors but it doesn't feel cohesive imo
I feel like it's very trendy. It looks awesome now, but I can see how it would be dated and not aging well in only 5 years.
What a breath of fresh air! Beyond tired of seeing white walls, white-washed floors, and ultra-anemic-looking spaces. Anyone else noticing that POC tend to utilize color more often in their homes?

So so amazing!
Beautiful house!
urgh no thank you
Its alot but somehow it all works, the home is stunning yet fun and comfortable.
It’s absolutely stunning! Well done
Wow, I would love to do this! With 4 kids here too, I totally relate 😄
I think she meant Scalamandre and not Schumacher...
I hope they plan to live there forever. If not than that's a rich family because the home is very custom to them ONLY. I love when designers take pride in their work so good job team👏👏
That house is hemorrhaging money.
I was looking for a way to express what you said. Basically this house is screaming: just because you can, should you? A rare miss for this channel.
yess!
Beautiful home!
Would this be considered eclectic?
depends on your taste....to me its a miss-matched design trying real hard to be eclectic
@@svietka202 lol I agree
When you find so many colours in the house you immediately recognise it an Indian household.
Tried my best but had to mute her after 60 seconds. Her vocal fry just hurts my ears and throat.
Beautiful❤️❤️❤️. The wall in the bedroom ❤️. Wanted to see the kitchen though
I really love the long table!

That zebra wall paper is NOT Schumacher.. its from the House of Scalamadre.. We as designers have to know the classics..
maybe knockoff?
@t A very good dye invention saw that helps you to change a piece of wood into beautiful arts and then u can decorate your different places with these arts.
The forms of furniture pieces are great, colors are a little too matchy matchy for me.
The problem this house will be outdated in twoyears
Trends come and go antiques would have been better for this space
when a designer swear... you know its good!!!
Loooove it
Nice.
I only like the rug in the master bedroom. Eveything else is just not my cup of tea.
Todo bien ☺️. Lo único 🤔 que no me gustó fué un espejo tigriado que ví en un baño😣🤓😎
I find the whole thing kinda strange to look at, because they have both been my doctors.
Not a fan, looks a little tacky and probably won't age well. But if the homeowner is happy, who cares what I think!
I was starting to get bored with all the look alike houses.. she’s very creative
Light ethereal color scheme seems strange against the stark black/white. Weird.
omg..........just omg.
It’s fun, playful, well thought out!! Beautiful!! Finally colour!! The designer sounds like a valley girl from California, 😬
White chairs in a teenage boys room... hummmmm.... Good luck with that... lol
Actually it makes sense knowing what teenage boys secretly do in their rooms.
Beautiful rooms...ok, the voice. ...PARIS HILTON? Such a trend for girls to talk like this...10 year old girls
Dr Seuss designed the furniture
incongruous, discordant bits and pieces. Nope
Not a kid friendly for me... its kinda vintage /museum ish... its like the sofa or most of the furniture is too oretty to be sat at or get messy with by the kids LOL

It could be the style that they also wanted. Everyone has different tastes. Some like quirky furniture and colours and others like white and greys...
Sorry but I feel like they made the place unnecessarily clumsy with those weird shape furniture. Kids rooms got more mature look.
No kitchen?
Imagine the price tag for all of this... :/
I'm glad they are happy with it but If it was me I'd like more elements that spoke to my culture...
Happiness family toomamjiandkidstoo
Ali🤣🤣
All the room is wonderful.. but i am not into the powder room.
do customers pay to live in a house like that? smh
i know, right? as well as all the custom furniture. lol
Yuck.
It's not that interesting at all. Doesn't seem functional. Just some color and pattern here and there to hint the family's culture isn't design.
I would work with her but all communication via email.lol Can’t stand her voice xx/
This was annoying
