How refreshing to see something other than snow blind white.
or brown and black, so boring and impersonal
Or beige!
This is why you hire an interior designer. I'd never put this together. All those white homes we've been seeing for years now are so cookie cutter. This is so creative. Good job
Thank you! Us artists aren’t useless, life would be really rough if artists couldn’t do what they do. Art is all around us and goes unnoticed all the time. Id love to see people walk through a city built without artists.
Love it a house with soul & imagination! All those white or grey houses are just same old same old .
@@arianaa.3448 I am also an artist in various ways, and many people think, our sectors are just enertainment and useless- but it is def NOT
@@arianaa.3448 I love this interior and, like previous comments it does have soul, my home has a similar theme, but with teal and natural materials, a lot of the pastels and grays and monotones are a result of interior designers selling those trends and the masses following or taking their word as gospel. I remember a time when almost every interior was white, off white, beige etc... Interior designers were saying neutral colours were all the rage then. Thankfully people are taking back control of personal taste and expressing themselves the way they want to. Design an interior that speaks to you, if you can't do it yourself hire an interior designer (if you can afford one) who would take your ideas or what you like and express it in the design.
As for your comment about the street without artist work, you are right, of course we need art to embellish our concrete built environment / jungle with art. Are they some highly talented chosen bunch, well now that's the million dollar question. Very subjective, one person's art is another's person's.......
True, I always like to hear their expertly ideas, but I just couldn’t let them choose objects, furniture and especially art. For instance, above mantle piece, I would much rather choose a piece of art whether that be an original painting, sculpture or mirror, something that comes out of my life experience. It’s like having designers dress you, it’s all glamorous, but I find a lot more important to wear my lucky sweater, my grandmother’s locket or a cheap scarf bought by my child on some school trip. It’s more meaningful and beautiful. However, I appreciate designers a lot, especially for making public spaces more appealing. But, that said, there should be also place for artists. More money should be invested in making our environment attractive to look and learn from.
I LOVE all of the changes that were made. I don't know why so many homeowners are afraid of color. Keep proving them wrong.
Tuatara Boo It means that they’re always thinking about optimum resale value. Colour can put potential buyers off because seeing the sellers’ personal taste so on display prevents them from seeing themselves living there.
also because too much color gets boring! I get bored easily and I have to always keep things classic and neutral otherwise i'm just wasting money pursuing trends and getting bored with them and staring all over again.
@@peadar-o but you can paint the walls neutral again before selling. Seems kind of silly to pay a lot of money to own a home and then decorate not to your own taste but to please a potential buyer :/
Or maybe they don't like colour. I can't imagine that.
@@inspiredby624 Exactly what I have always thought. What if my house doesn't sell for a while? Then I'm living in a place I don't like, possibly for months! If they can't look beyond some color (and the agent doesn't help them along), that's too bad; I'll wait.
"a second life rug" I love that description for a pre-owned/pre-loved item.
So glad to see COLOR!!! Tired of neutrals & safe decorating. Makes me smile!
Hallelujah! I’m into eclectic and COLORFUL! So many “boho” rooms are just beige and tan and off-white. Boo.
I still watch this 3 years later because I love, love the colours and style ! ❤❤❤
I can’t get enough of this house-in my opinion, it’s perfect!! The choices are lively but not jarring-in any way! In the wrong hands, this could’ve been a train wreck-it was beautifully done, here!
So homophobic and not relevant to the comment or video
If coming home 2 a house like this doesn't lift the spirit, then u're already dead.
All that pattern and color could have turned out really bad, but it’s absolutely beautiful!
Please show more interiors like this. Absolutely love it!
Yes. The exact idea is to be city villager. So nice. Earthiness always. To know what has been lacking is to know how to live. One who knows to live has the ability to help others live.
One of the most beautiful home make over I've ever seen !
Love every SINGLE thing about this home, from the portrait of the Queen in the front hall to the botanical wallpaper in the kitchen. Genius. Inspiring. Uplifting!
That velvet sunny couch makes me so happy!
Nancy Wilkes yes l agree but difficult to keep clean l would imagine.
lou-anne korolischuk Yes, cleaning it would be tricky! Also, not all velvets are alike. Some velvets just simply do not age well. Still, it’s so sooo so pretty!!
No I actually had a yellowish sofa and it wasn't hard to keep clean. Fabric guard warm water and a sponge. Had white but not for long. Even had slip covers on the chair and washed all the time. Also depends on fabric too. I always use a washable fabric. Or low velvet like texture. My white was like a cotton linen.
Oh this is funkilly gorgeous....
Yeap
Even the designer choose a colorful outfit to match with the house...🤪
I thought the same thing!
I've never been a fan of eclectic home decor, but this is so fresh & pretty. (Hmmm, I think I could be comfy here, actually) 😊💖
OMG, Somebody. Please hire me. This is a gift, I have been given. I just realised that I spend my whole LIFE fixing things. Instead perfecting things. It's all about scale.
Luv it now.... bright and colourful.... Luv colors
I love the colours, they combination of patterns, colours and textures is genius.
She’s so stylish. Understated and classic. Even her blouse and haircut scream, ‘elegance’.
Just love the dining room
Casual and warm.
Customer: Make my house look happy
Designer: Hold my beer...
Looks like lively modern Indian houses 💕
Finally a good video. Nice contrast to the boring gluxstein designs.
Pouestah Glad to know I’m not the only one who feels that way
This house is amazing! Everything i want my house to be. Bright and colourful!
The designer knows how to play with colour , even her colour sense to pick up the right choice from her closet for this interview matches with the aesthetic of what the video all about. And the furniture design and lay out feels to homey to be at your reach - making it more precious.
Beautiful combination of colors
This place is so up my alley , I love color and I like that they did not go nuts with the walls. I like colorful art, with cream or what walls. But I also like parts of painted walls, like they did.
The kitchen is lovely n lively
My kind of space 💛💛💛
Your profile picture fits sooooo much! 😂

@@mevebelanger yes!!!
@@dalidzucheredi2495 great observation!!!
Gorgeous. This is the type of video I have been waiting for
Danica R Yes!!
Yeyeye!
thanks goodness for no white n gray interiors 💜🧡💛🧡💜
Gorgeous! I love the entry and kitchen wallpapers!
This is the yellow sofa of my dreams. I hVe been dreaming of owning a yellow sofa for 2 years now.
Wow, that corner of kitchen cabinets is incredibly smartly organised. And decorated! - love the accent wall.
Color color color everywhere the eye can see. so creative.
I love the colorful wallpaper in the kitchen, it adds a pop of color without going overboard.
As much as I love this colorful style my fear is that year round reminds me of summer.
Brilliant job! Love the yellow sofa. And, that wall paper over the prep area! The black and white IKEA rug is a real workhorse. I've seen it spruce up many floors. The weave on the dining chairs! I had to go back for another look. She was so right about the muted rug "pulling back". You can't have every item in a room being the star. Then you just go crazy not knowing where to look! Brilliant result! Would love to live there, or at least come over for drinks! Best from Indiana!
Seriously talented designer. It all works perfectly.
Gasped when I saw that bathroom. So gorgeous!
My jaw dropped when I saw the kitchen!
Finally Colour!!! Beautiful
This is a truly beautiful renovation. XXX
Like pretty much everything except the white chandelier. It fades into the ceiling.
The baskets over the mantle are extraordinary.
Absolutely my favorite house I’ve seen on this channel! Would LOVE every bit of this.
A designed home. All need a livable place. It is living.
Those baskets above the fireplace are actually a copy of traditional Rwandese baskets. Nice touch.
Hm...Bohemian mixed mid century style, quite interesting design 😏
So sunny and beautiful!
I love designing my house with color.
Wonderful idea for the movable kitchen island. So many houses, including the house I bought, have these wide oversized center islands that divide the kitchen and make it less functional.
Lovely! Lovely! I want to see the bedrooms now. Its just beautiful. Life is about colour.
Great job! So much better than before, which had been truly dark and dismal! I love the eclectic whimsy of the new/old pieces, and the bright colors. Thank you for sharing! :)
I have seen 100s of videos for reno. But this is the only more pragmatic house I have seen which is a real home.. As you cannot make your house a 24/7 hotel arranged.. Being a mother of a toddler I know this pain of keeping your home perfect all the time.. Mrs hamdan..
My kind of people! I love the colors, they make me happy!
Love this. Original, colourful and fun!!
I love the couch and baskets.❤❤❤
I love it! A happy, functional home
The appliance garage was my favorite. I'm getting old.
I like seeing a house with color .
Such a breath of fresh air. Love it. All of it
Not sure if their names are really Angus & Danielle, but I don’t care. Finally a designer who doesn’t say homeowner constantly.
lol
Or my other favourite: The client...lol
beautiful, a house with soul and this time not a clinical white zombie house
Lol I thought I was the only one over those blah houses. Don’t get me wrong I love a traditional home but all the gray and white I’m sooooooo over it. They don’t look lived in or they don’t look authentic.
@@Llovelylady1 my exact sentiment. They dont look lived in at all
@@Llovelylady1 ..grey is the worst ...pipo are overdoing it. It's all u see in apartment tours, grey and black
@@Llovelylady1 You're not the only one!
😂😂😂😂😂, clinical white zombie 😆
I'm in love with this space. This design was created do beautifully.
I love the optimism of this space! The colour pallette reminds me of the preppy 90's, made modern...before covid and 9/11....The good ole days.
Woooow so beautifully done with the colors, it's not too heavy, chic !!!!
So joyful and warm 💖
These are my house colors and I'm so happy to see the things I've been planning carried out for me to see! The half-blue dining room wall, the yellow wall being the first thing you see, the reddish muted living room rug and the striped rug under the table (although mine is gray, not black), even the African baskets on the wall. I'm about to get to it and finish my main floor! Glad to know it all works together. Just gotta combine them well.
I love colorful houses...my apartment is colourful too, different shades of yellow on the walls, a bit of green, white and ivory furniture, grey kitchen...love it!
BEAUTIFUL 💛
Love the colours. Lifts my spirits immediately just watching this.
I'm happy now after watching this video. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!
Love the colourful vibe
Lippie on a pig love that saying! Beautiful home.
Love the bright colors that blends perfectly!
Beautiful and timeless colorful home project! Every single detail is well balanced, fun and welcoming.
Just all love for this redo.
Loved the small sink
The best home decor.
Beautiful love it
Luck follows love. Love attracts luck.
I like this...Personally I,would, have, done a pink toned red Persian rug in the living room...to,ke,it just begs for it.
Love the house
A cheerful house and a lovely designer
I think it is beautiful, spacious and breezy more than being full of sunlight which is sometimes not needed like a house with a beautiful tree or trees for making use of scattered sunlight for effect and feeling nice as per the idea.
I really love this design!!! It's perfect.
Congratulations on a very joyful , lively, Lovely color designs, patterns, textures 💚💝🌻🌸🍀❤🌹💙💞💐
Fantastic use of colors. It’s like classy bohemian
Pillows are beautiful.
Wow 💖 dream house😍
Love love love it!! So refreshing, radiant, beautifully captivating at every corner and super cosy as well as sweet.
I love this! So much fun, and such a refreshing change from so many all-white houses.
beautiful, love the cheerfulness of this house. great job!!
Love the powder room!
Adore this. ‘Joyful is the perfect word’. Beautiful transformation and I’m in love with that fabulous wallpaper in the kitchen workspace.
Yes! I love yellow. Your designs are gorgeous.
It looks beautiful. My interior decor is very much “lipstick on a pig” - but it’s a cute pig 🐷
I love the sofa color and accent pillows, but that powder room wallpaper really made me whole. It's so pretty.
Woow very beautiful
