- Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to the idyllic English countryside by actor Sienna Miller to visit the centuries-old cottage she's made her home. When she first saw the property in Buckinghamshire, England, she fell for it hard. “It was a time when there was a lot of press attention on me, and I wanted somewhere to escape.” Sienna enlisted her close friend, director Gaby Dellal, to assist in breathing new life into the 16th-century thatched-roof cottage. “The house offers a sanctuary,” says Miller. “It has a nurturing feeling; it is a home with a heart.”

Probably the first Celebrity home on here I’d 100% pack up and move in just as it is if I was actually able to do that. I am in love with the English Countryside and cottages and this is amazing. It is MORE THAN 20 years. SiEnna began her career in year 2000. She did a credited acting part as "Sharon" in film "SOUTH KENSINGTON" (2001) MEDICI FILMS same year which was 2001. SiEnna has been in the movies nearly 22 years !!
I remember her making her mark as a style icon around 2004. That’s all I meant by that. It’s not my intention to discredit her acting work before then. :)

Can this be the precedent of more homes and less houses? I am enthralled with this feature and feel so special she decided to share it with us. Such a genuine respect for the house and environment whilst also making it her own. I hope she falls in love with her home over and again, it looks like she already has.
I love how down to earth and humble she is. The constant sitting down to talk, pointing out spider webs, admitting that a bunch of toys are hidden away for the tour, she has none of that "better than you"/ superior pretense that so many rich and famous people have. What a lovely person and I think her warm, cozy home is a great reflection of her.
Miller is so full of herself. She looks down on others and just thinks she's better than the rest of us. She's one of the biggest jerks/losers alive on the planet today.

I love that she is so unfussy...the kitchen table looks well loved, she sits on the arm of the sofa, she has her mom and dads old arm chair, stuffs her sweater back on the shelf. LOVE the reading nook! The yard is fittingly English cottage-beautiful! I would LOVE to sleep in the 'outhouse'. 1 1/2 acres is a perfect size. My second home we built on 5 1/2 acres and it was so much work to keep up. Sienna has a lovely refreshing home...very much like herself.
This is a breath of fresh air when it comes to celebrity homes. It's so nice to see mis-matched prints, old sentimental furniture, a small and cosy space that is old and lived in... surrounded by nature! Beautiful
Sienna kept saying the word, magical, and this is what her charming, relaxed and delightful home is. She is a natural and casual beauty and her home reflects that. There wasn't one thing that I did not like about her cottage.
The only thing I would change would be lower the ceiling in her bedroom she said she raised

Green lawns have little benefit for nature other than being better than asphalt. People need to live with nature and not try to replace it.
Yes my country home is surrounded my bushes, trees and foliage and it’s beautiful to see the bees buzzing around it

So quaint and cozy. I wouldn’t change a thing. It is my kind of home. I love privacy. I can see why Sienna can relax there. I would be curled up in front of the fire reading a book with a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate-depending on the time of day-or outside wandering the grounds. Just so calming.

When I think of effortlessly cool, I think of Sienna. This delightful home tour only adds to my admiration. I love all the cunning touches, like the sheepskin on the headboard, the curtain by the railing, the closet full of jumpers. The separate guesthouse is lovely (I am madly in love, may I PLEASE come visit!?) She speaks of her home with such warmth and pleasure, and you can tell how relaxed she is in the space. I love when she sat down on the sofa, and then later flopped onto the guest bed. What a pleasure this was to experience. Well done to Gaby Delall, Sienna, and the AD Productions crew!

This is the perfect, idyllic dream home for me. I love coming back to this video now and again because it awakens so much joy and love inside of me.
In less than 2 minutes I already know that this is one of my favourite homes I have seen on AD! Sienna is down to earth and not like all the other celebs we see on here. Everything is cosy, welcoming, not pretentious. She even has a simple, standard Breville kettle that most people have in their homes that you can get for about £35! It shows that she appreciates the simple things in life. A truly welcoming home.

There’s something so nostalgic and comforting having a _huge_ fireplace in a room like that being the central focal point of a big room where everyone can just socialize. When she mentioned how she puts the Christmas tree in the corner and having the piano there, I can just imagine how comfortable that must be at Christmas time. Beautiful cottage, not extravagant and not over the top. I would love to retire full time in a home like this.

This is SUCH a lovely home. These videos are always so much better when you can see how much personality is in the house, how much of themselves people put into the place. After downsizing into a 1,000 sq ft house from a 3500 sq ft house, I’ve come to the conclusion small homes are 1000000000% better than big homes. So cozy, warm, and comfortable….and easier to clean! ❤️ I LOVE this cottage. Reminds me of the cottage in The Holiday.

Living there during the lockdown must have been an absolutely magical experience, especially with how much we all were craving cottage-core. Truly an amazing property and I was always wondering what it would be like to live in a Tudor house. Green with envy now in a good way. The way it was decorated is also very nice, I like a lot how it is not very modern and preserves an old English feel. Cosy and pretty, and oh! those little theatrical details like the curtains on the balcony. A perfect place for a child to grow and explore their creativity!

I loved every moment of this. Of course I had to freeze the video at key moments just to look further into the detail. I love how simple but beautiful this cottage is. You can tell how much this means to Sienna from the joy she brings through her voice. It's such a contrast to when I watch some North American shows where people are looking for real estate outside of their country. They complain so much about how much room there isn't- especially in the master bedroom. I've known adults in my country who have given up the 'master' bedroom so their kids can have more room. One of my friends used to sleep in the spare room (barely the size of a walk-in pantry). Her bed was just a mattress on the floor with clothes hanging above her head. There were no complaints about this by my friend. What a contrast! Just like this cottage and Sienna's attitude to it- a complete breath of fresh air!
I love her Mum's pink and floral chair and the woolly drop down curtain. There are a lot of good ideas here to get the cottage look, including an espresso machine and beautiful stove. Sienna is a lovely hostess.

I love how really lived-in this house is. Usually the AD tours are too perfect or the same style essentially as all the others, but this one feels authentic and sweet.
