i wish there were an online community for people who opt to raise families in smaller apartments/homes. It's been hard to find appropriate furniture and ideas.
OMG SAME!!! There's a UA-camr "hey Shayla" I think it is, she does a lot that's "Montessori/organic" I guess you would call it, and I've found a lot of inspo from her chanell. She does a lot without space, but it works a lot. She does things a bit "unusual" but she has good ideas on a lot of it. I recommend giving it a listen and seeing what you can pick apart that may help you. It's so important to remember that not everything is going to work for everyone.
I live in Europe and most people raise children in apartments. I have never heard that they'd be deprived of anything. We're near parks and playgrounds and all kind of entertainment options, i'd never move from here to the subburd for more space and...nothing else.
Such a beautiful home and a clever solution. Your style is VERY scandinavian. Of course it is possible to live and raise children in appartements, because you make specific and well thought decisions - and that will pay off in all areas of your (family)life.❤ Thank you so much for showing (especially the North American population) that there are alternatives to the over stuffed, over sized, keeping up with The Jones' kind of life ☀️ Greetings from Camilla, Denmark - Scandinavia
Perfect space!!! :) I would have done the same, enjoy walking everywhere in that beautiful city instead of driving miles everyday and cleaning huge houses.
Living in Europe this is pretty average and noone would blink twice about having kids in a space this size. I love the windows and generally what the family did with the apartment style-wise, but really, outside a certain continent there's another world where this square footage is normal.
At the end of the video she sounded like she was trying to sell that house to a reluctant family of 5 😂 the space is gorgeous and functional, that’s all that matters.❤️
Gorgeous space AND with foliage! It looks like there’s a door to an outside area a with a picnic table! I wish they would’ve taken us outside to that space. Hands down beautiful small space I’ve seen!!
We raise our kids in a small home as well but in Florida and I'm always looking for new ideas to get the most space and usable space for us! This helped a little thank you. I need more ideas but don't know where to go lol someone help

You're not allowing the kids to have their own space it's actually sad you're messing up their mental state of your own child, people need space to themselves😮.

Apartment Therapy is a useful one!

We live in Belgrade with our child in a 45sqm flat, debt free, rent free. It is possible🎉
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’ve been thinking the same!
minimalist families often live in smaller spaces. I know its been a while though lol.
Loved this! We too live in small home with kiddos and were constantly told we need bigger. But we LOVE our home, location, neighbors and the amenities
I would love to see more videos like this featuring spaces designed around family life and children
I love the abundance of windows. It makes the space feel so much bigger!

Lots of people in the US also raise kids in apartments haha people are weird to think we all live in these huge homes.
It's easier to raise a child in apartment I can imagine because less money. From the apartment. Ur not paying for a house.
i love what you said, 'be happy with what you have'
It's cute that this apartment is called "small" 😁
So beautiful! It also is so easy to clean which frees up time to spend with your family!

I love that there is a patio space outside too, covered in plants
Perfect space!!! :) I would have done the same, enjoy walking everywhere in that beautiful city instead of driving miles everyday and cleaning huge houses.
The good about small space when you have kids is, you go outside a lot of time rain or shine
I agree up in a nice mid size house in East Africa. Never once did we play in the house, we were always outside. I miss my childhood.

Lovely way to express your life.
Thank you for sharing - I’m living in a small space and thinking about the future 🙌🏻 you calmed my nerves

There is a small patio space! Glad you liked this home as much as we did.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your space.
It’s very very pretty. I can’t imagine not having privacy from our kids though.
I remember when I thought that wouldn't be a big deal.
It's not something I wish to relive. Privacy is HUGE for both parents and children
Awesome video ! Thank you
It's so inspiring! I'm trying to figure out how to save space for my 8 yrs daughter!

Does this home have another bedroom? Where do they kiddos sleep? I don't think I heard anything about kiddos' sleeping arrangement.
Beautiful and don’t need more
Nice video
Where did you buy the Murphy bed!?
Where is the bathroom?
And where do the kids sleep?
Where’s the sofa from?

Wow I live in a 1bdrm apt with my husband and 3 kids. This apt looks way bigget than the one we live in lolololol
I guess it depends where you're raised, what your idea of small is.
Where did you buy the sofa what is it called
Hey there, that's our Solae Sofa in Hush Gray.
Wow!
you look like nicole kidman! lovely place
600sq. feet is not small...not by SF bay area standards. i live in less than 300 sq. feet with a child. if I had 600 sq. feet i'd be set!
It’s still small. It’s all about perspective
she has 4 people
Your place is nice than our place.
👍👍👍
Terrible quality, avoid this company like the plague. They don't care. They make cheap stuff and don't stand behind it.
I’m sorry but this is not a small
Space.
... get rid of the potted plants ...
TV?
