Wow! Good stuff! I've been a CTS-V 2 & 3 fan. Lately, I've been eyeballing the C8, but this tune for the BW is causing me to rethink it. I can't wait to see the 0-60 & 1/4 times. Those midrange numbers look great.

based on the torque, i think with headers and off road exhaust (no cats), it's gonna pick up 35-40hp (fuel dependent of course) as is (no meth).

You need a better fan out the front for sure when doing the dyno, plus the moisture in the air does not help and humidity is the killer of hp in supercharged and turbo engines full stop, take the same car down to a colder place where the air is not as moist and you will get at least 50hp extra just because of the cold air and less dense air as well?
So putting a good quality A/C type gas intercooling system on it will make a massive difference, easy extra 100hp on top of headers supercharger changes all the numeral mods, put a A?C type gas intercooling system will make a world of difference in hot and humid weather type citys and plus you can always turn it off if required and turn it on when dragging?

I have a T4 and was able to make 30 hp and 28tq with fuel, timing, and a few other small adjustments.
I have BW on order. Will definitely void the Warranty on day 1. Im assuming the tables will be similar?
How much boost was this running with a 9.17 lower and 2.3 upper!?

No not without a flex fuel sensor and tune, not to mention that would do the opposite for the fuel system.

what's baseline? is that like tour mode .
Baseline means to figure out how much horsepower it puts down to the wheels before we mod it or tune it. You do this to see the difference a particular part or tune picks up.

Can someone explain to me how tunning works
1. It will void your warranty. So make sure you put it back to stock tune before you attempt to get any warranty work. If your pockets are phat and you don't care about the warranty it's the way to go. A tune and some bolt-ons turn these things into Cadzilla.

It's insane that a stock turbo G80 will walk all over this with unported blower😂
Leave the boost level of the G80 stock and pull the ported blower off the Blackwing. Let me know how that works out for you.
As a BMW guy I’d still rather own this than an ugly G80 and this V has a lot more potential.
@@Bsaintthe m3 is just a super unit, I doubt it'll have less potential when people keep pushing the max with it.
These are track cars, not dragsters. CT5-V Blackwing still has a faster lap time than any BMW (4.5 secs/lap faster at VIR, faster than every BMW including M4 CSL and M5 CS at Willow Springs, etc..) If you're into straight-line drags, I suggest sticking with Tesla or Mopar with a pile of mods. Straight-line stuff is just wallet racing and anybody willing to write the biggest check can make anything win.
@@rdollie1 🤣 dude no one is seriously tracking these, their curb weight is 4150. Also IMO american journalists have a bias for American cars, or the guys who do the track times just suck idk. Put a European track driver in a M5 CS or M4 CSL and in the 5-V Blackwing on the same tire, same track conditions, same amount of practice laps, and the Blackwing won't be faster.

Stupid GM, putting different motors in the blackwing than the V, especially with the 4-V blackwing having a V6 and the 5-V having a different V6. Too much confusion
I don't get it at all, why move away from the 3.6TT, and why do two "V" versions. Stick with the stupid v sport, throw the 3.0 in both, offer awd like they always have, and then 3.6tt 4V and 6.2 SC 5V

I had a 2001 integra b18b1 built 9.5:1 compression I made 470whp with 87octane 21psi 66/58 turbo that was over a decade ago
You couldve made over 500 with 93 lol why bother running cheap gas in a performance application?
@@MikeB85 my buddy’s and I had an argument them saying I couldn’t crack 350whp without blowing up with 87 I won $20
@@MikeB85 I ended up going a larger turbo and full e85 pump gas and same dyno made 718whp and 390Tq @37psi non vtec b1 head then made 730whp 418Tq with a vtec c1 head
@@MikeB85 shop called Parker county performance did the dyno and built the trans he was a buddy of mine but he closed his shop and I moved across the country about 9yrs ago
