- Getting ready for your checkride but don't know where to start studying? I was the same way and I hope this gives you an idea what you should do to get ready for the oral exam portion of the private pilot ASEL checkride.

Since this video is nearing 1000 views. (thank you all by the way) If anyone has had their checkride and would like to talk about it in the comments you are free to do so. And also if there is anything else others should know going into it.
Where did you buy the textbooks you’re talking about?
@@baderzahrah You can find them on amazon easily. But the FAA has them for free online, if you're like me and prefer physical books, they're on amazon or other sources.
Six months ago 1K---turned-----10K!!!!!!
@@NoDictaorsAllowed did not expect it actually!
You're one of the only people who makes a complete guide for oral prep. Nice job man
That was the point! Theres some good ones out there too. I thought about doing one for the flight portion but thats nothing other than the ACS lol.
Wow this video is startin to blow up! I guess its checkride season already. Hope you guys do well 🎉
Thanks for 6,000 views! Hope everyone has a good 2024. If youre startin flight training good luck!
Pilot Training Systems is a great UA-cam channel.
I agree I think. Its literally the Pilots Handbook but audio version. I would watch Josh from Free Pilot training and Cyndy Hollman. They actually go in depth with the topic. Also the ACS library will be a good choice too.
Check ride in October, pretty much all I have been working on for the oral are those two books.
Good idea. Never forget about the FAR/AIM 👀 all the answers to your checkride are in there!
thanks for posting this vid bro. There is not a lot out there that is as informational as your video. im preparing for the oral and had no idea how to study but this video has helped me so much!!!
I thought it was just me thinking the same thing. Good luck its not as difficult as it seems if you prepare correctly.
Congrats on passing the check ride. Great video
your videos have been helping a lot thank you for sharing, I currently dont have the money to pay for all training but im studying at home to see how capable i can reach this goal. thanks again !
Well youre doing the right thing not needing to pay an instructor for this people Dont realize they can save several thousands by studying at home before flying or doing an online course. But theres also completely free material online especially "free pilot training" on YT.
Hey lil buddy I live in Gloucester county NJ just across the bridge from Philadelphia. Loved your video! I'm going through my ratings and FAA written tests. Ty for the great knowledge 🛫🛫🛬🛩️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Ive driven through there hundreds of times 😂I'm out of Trenton. Good luck with the tests, I have a video on the private written, the others honestly I prefer other testing supplements but the one I mentioned in the video will work for private. Good luck with training I have no regrets getting in this!
Congratulations dude..
Got my checkride November 15th. Been binging these types of videos and reading the PPL Oral Exam book as well. Thanks for this video! Great stuff.
im november 19th so not far behind ya lol good luck to ya
How did it go?
@@jamesh7876 I passed!!
Great video! Thanks so much!
Thanks for video!!
Congratulations dude! Good work.
Thank you! This is great
👍 thank you!
I see you bro !
Thanks man
Nice work. Very helpful - thank you!
Good video, thanks
Great vid
Thank you!
You are the man, thank you so much brother! This is very helpful!!
Thank you very much for your videos on passing the written and oral exams - lots of good info. Please keep posting stuff on flying!
Wish I could film my 100 nm cross country in 2 days. Not allowed though :(
You are 100% ❤ so helpful and I appreciate this video. Please do more, more, more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Means a lot. Thats what this is for. I was hoping to do actual in flight content but the school doesnt really allow it. I watch this other guy who flies in my local area and some other airports allow it. I think ill make a guide on how to prepare for instrument when I finish it, wont be till later this year though.
@@kevw172 I would like to follow who you follow as well. Possibly can you share a LINK. I am praying for you and complete success and joy and happiness throughout your work. The world is a great place with people like you. Thank your parents for an incredible son. You will do well.

appreciate this. finished my written recently (same score!). I'm hoping my examiner doesn't grill me too much
They wont. Your checkride is going to be chill 👍 Congratulations! I even got a 95 on my IRA last week.
Thank you for your video! I did have a question about studying the ACS. I know they give you the codes and a brief summary of what it is. I was curious where you found this info from the codes is it on a FAA website ? Would you have an ACS study guide you’d be willing to share ? Thank you have a good day
You can look up the ACS codes anywhere but honestly the ACS document itself is your study guide. Have it with you as a reference on what you need to know with your reference books. Honestly theres nothing in the ACS outside the Pilots handbook, airplane flying handbook the oral exam guide and FARs.

I thought of it, need a better mic though, youre welcome! Glad this helped you out!
Not seeing the links you mentioned that would be in the description.
I noticed one of the links is giving me a 404 error. But the rest are there. Did you expand the description box?

I was told I cant use foreflight on my Private Pilot check ride, is this not true?
Some DPEs dont mind it. But if youre not part of a flight school where there are no set rules on whether you can use an EFB or not, do not use foreflight then. Im part of a program and the chief instructor made it clear to students foreflight can be used as a way to access charts and diagrams.
Aren't you part 61 for private even if you are going the restricted airline transport pilot route?
I'm doing 141, but it doesn't matter which one you choose, Whatever fits your needs and convenience. I like 141 under college program for my restricted ATP
Gotcha. Im currently doing the part 141 college program for my R-ATP as well, but for private pilot training I am part 61. I think it's going to switch to Part 141 when I start my instrument training. @@kevw172
