- BoboVR S3 Pro is the newest and so far best Quest 3 Accessory I have tried. It is extremely comfortable and has a 10000 mah Battery, along with a fan!

Mine arrived yesterday (after 3 weeks in shipping !)... I LOVE this thing. Super comfortable, I mean not "I forgot I was even wearing it" level, but still, very very comfortable once you get it how you like it. Also, I was thinking that maybe the fan was just a gimmick, but works surprisingly well. You don't realise how well until you turn it off. Overall, the best $90 I've spent on VR accessories by a long shot.

Can you lay down with the S3? The one thing I like about the default strap is being able to lay my head on the pillow and watch UA-cam videos
@vinnyvp2170 So overall yes, I was surprised. At work I lean back on the recliner and it’s comfortable. Much more than other ones.
But, the default strap would be better in that case.
With that being said, this setup still wins for battery life.
There’s also a button on the side of the battery that will show you the lights on it to let you know how much charge it has

Thx for this great review 🙏 I got the same BoboVR S3 for a week ago and can say…thumbs up 👍 very comfortable and the battery power is great. I just need a new case for my Quest 3 because the Bobo is really big and it’s impossible to close the bag now ;) I am waiting for your longtime test. Will be interesting what you will say. By the way, it would be great to see a introduction from you how to use and connect the Quest 3 with DCS and MSFS. I didn’t tried this until now. Happy flights 🛫✌️

Just got mine in and I'm loving it. My first session and I didn't even dip into the Quest battery!

There are upgrade kits for the M2 and M3 to be able to use the B100 battery. Sadly the socket is not backwards compatible with the B2 battery.

Rather check another youtuber reviews. Actually everybody complaining the fan as not effective and way too loud. Plus the batteries as not backwards compatible with previous ones what quite shame if you have the previous M2 or M3 straps.
I have heard others say the fan is too loud. For my personal taste fan sounds whether on PC , steamdeck or this have never bothered me but I could see others might not like it.
The video was a raw first look, NOW after having spent hours with the headset and having many folks try it at work, the fan IS EFFECTIVE and I really enjoy it! At one point I had been playing for 2 hours the other night and I turned off the fan, and I literally felt like my head was hot.
Maybe its because I am bald lol, but let me tell you the FAN absolutely helps bring a cooling feeling to your head and its not gimmicky. I also left it at 50% speed the whole time. Now, if you have the stock facemask on, you will feel the wind very little on your face. So its possible folks are saying it isnt effective, I dont feel it on my face etc.
The backward compatibility issue is correct and I showed it off as I was curious about that. Why they did that? I do not know. POSSIBLY for profits, which seems likely, forcing folks to buy the newer one, but maybe it has something to do with the Power Draw and output? Or not? I dont know, but it would have been nice even to get a short use from the old battery as I have two already.

I'm using the BINBOK VR T3 which came with 2 8000mah batteries and a dock to charge them. I really like the system, but I do want to try the halo type head gear, so I have been on the waitlist for a couple of weeks now to get the S3. I have been suffering some headaches which may be due to how tight the headset is on my head which I should just keep looser and give that a try. I came from a G2 and don't get headaches with it. I'm really hoping it's the head strap and not Q3 vs G2 implementation of VR. I'm also using the AMVR facial interface and like it a lot over the stock, but its adjustment and installation are kind of cheaply done.
If anyone is curious about it keeping the headset charged by doing...whatever...Here are the specs of the battery itself. I got this from Bobo b4 I bought mine. Had it for a couple days now.
The B100 is powered by 2 x 5000mAh/3.65V cells, 10000mAh is the total capacity of the cells;
After series connection, the battery pack is 5000mAh/7.3V;
Cell energy: 36.5Wh.
Rated energy of battery pack: 35.4Wh.
It does keep the headset at charge or actually charge it for me no matter what I do until the Bobo battery dies. If in passthrough is when it generally just holds the headset battery steady. Maybe a slight discharge still by a couple percent until the bobo battery dies. Passthrough is a battery sucker. 😄 I recommend the regular face gasket with the VR cover fabric cover or silicone cover as you are taking pressure off your face with this now so it's not as big a deal. The AMVR Facial Cover solution comes with a new facial interface that is a little larger and is a bit of a pain to work with the Bobo head strap as it kind of gets in the way of fit or could get in the way depending on your head. I'd definitely try it with the facial interface that came with the headset first. The fan has a light hum to it. Honestly up to 50 percent I don't notice noise but after that you'd probably want a sound source or headphones. I'm sorry I can't describe how loud it can be but it does actually work and provide some air. I don't go past 50%. I had the Binbok and it was ok but the batteries weren't as good and it wasn't as comfortable for me. That's my 2 cents anyhow if you wanted it. 😀
after i watched your video, i canceled my previous order (the Okesyo Q3 Elite Headstrap) and now i'll wait :)

Good video and yes a must have option for the peeps rocking the Meta Quest 3 what will be my next VR headset I'm afraid once my G2 dies what I hope it will never and is still going strong since January 2021. I never had any other VR headset on my head than my G2...

Hello! I have a powerful 27,000 mAh power bank. Can I use the USB-C charging port to combine the Bobovr battery and my power bank while keeping the Bobovr connected to the Quest 3?
Thanks for the great review Jose - it seems like a "must-have" for Q3 simmers. I think these will be sold out for some time. I can see the SupernaturalVR workout folks taking advantage of this as well. BoboVR has always been the goto for aftermarket headstraps for the quest line. It looks like this continues their dominance.
I made a mistake when I ordered mine with Paypal giving them my other address two states away. So I asked them to change it which they did, but they also said this " The next shipment is expected in late February/early March". I don't know if mine is in that as I didn't order until Feb 12th.
i sold mine already,i found this one not steady on my face.. and i found it too heavy and the fan noise,i am back to the annapro battery headstrap

It should probably state, Order : next shipment starts on Xx/xx/xxx date.
The way preorder reads is almost as if it isn’t out yet.
I bought it the moment it was released and I assume they had a low stock and those went out.

I havnt gotten it myself yet, but iirc a pic on the site shows that its made to be more comfy for laying down. But im not sure the battery has enough grip to not slip off. Im getting the headstrap in a month or so, ill update you on it then!

What case do you guys use with these straps?
None yet, did you find a solution? I use a big ol camera bag that can hold a 150-600 mm and is plenty padded, so its overkill lol.
I love it! I have my attached to a AMVR face cover not the stock one. It works but it takes a little work to get it right since the AMVR has a higher top section. The fan is fine I don’t notice a huge difference when on and fan noise is no big deal even on high. Works fine with the Quest charging dock just have to work the hinge a bit to sit on the dock properly. The power is awesome I get about 3 hours from the new battery not including the Quest headset battery ( keeps up with the Quest draining power). Only thing that sucks a bit is that for me the new battery takes 8 hours to charge! I will be buying another battery to hot swap. Over all I am very happy with this head strap.

I forgot to mention the fan noise, it might be a factor for some. But I’m yelling so loud I don’t hear it. But I also found the fan speed great at 50%.

Is it heavy and bulky like the m3 ? I dont like m3.
I’m going to say it’s very similar to the M3, almost identical but better.
Now my concern for you is that you didn’t like it.
A few things to note, the battery is heavier here and this helps balance the with more by having more weight on the back of your head.
Another key thing to know, if you have your M3, wear it more like a halo, like a crown. This is critical in having this type of headset fit well.
That means, the back of the head strap should be on the lower back of your head, and the other top on the front TOP. Does that make sense?
That’s key for these type of headsets. Try that adjustment , make it snug but not too tight, and if that’s a comfortable fit, then upgrade.
Otherwise I had for you to go this route and it be just as bad as your first experience.
As you see through the comments, this was a great product, not just my opinion. Others feel the same, but I fully understand if you don’t like the halo head strap it’s definitely something to consider twice before deciding, or keep the boxes and return it if it isn’t for you.
Thx for the answer but i tried it all for weeks , i changed back and forth to stock strap but its to bulky and heavy for me. Mb there is coming a kind of very light helmet , thats completly fits the entire top of the had, like a basecap .
@@Privat846 I hear you. This is such a personal decision and while one size fits most, I know this isnt perfect for everyone.
I have used 17+ VR headsets all the way back to 2013, and I find this to be pretty comfortable for long gameplay. I am bald so maybe that smooth surface helps haha.

Do your self a favor an BUY it :)
Yes Exactly! Thats how I felt. I am glad I am not the only one, haha. It really is my favorite so far. Although I think there are a few good ones out there, this is the only brand I have just because I thought they had a good reputation and I liked all their products so far.
I still find the m3 more comfortable than this one. I get forehe pain on the s3. The m3 I can wear for hours.

Have you tried adjusting it different ways?
One thing I like to suggest to folks is to put the back portion of the headset LOWER.
So maybe give it a go and adjust it a bit LOWER than what you normally might. I found for a long time I wore halo style headsets wrong and it was uncomfortable.
Just a thought.
It would be great to find a better adjustment as the battery life and fan are such a win IMO.

@theVRpilot yeah I'll have to play around with it for a bit. I've got hundreds of different pad and parts I've been hoarding. My m3 is not stock I've modded the hell out of it.
@ivana6141 nice! How does it perform battery wise for you with the quest 3? Does swapping out multiple batteries give you a good boost in play time?
@theVRpilot the m3 you have to keep swapping out the battery every 45 mins or so. It maintains it near 100 per though. The s3 has a way better battery just set and forget. I'll probably upgrade the pack on the m3 when the dock upgrade comes out.

@@theVRpilot that’s definitely understandable. Maybe I’m just not the kind of person to want that raw review because it feels like details that will come out over time and through in-depth scripting will be missed. I definitely couldn’t speak concisely over a 35 minute review.
