    What a great upgrade. 👍

Perfect example how bagged bypass upright should be made. Wide and simple airpath. Majority of bypass uprights have too long and narrow hose in the back what really limits the airflow even if the motor is strong. This vacuum deserves motor what you installed to it.

Or manufacturers could use a floor/tool switch like the Eureka smartvac and others drastically shortening the airpath. I think the wider the hose is the more it'll pull back when the suction is blocked off. too wide and the vacuum itself may come flying back :P

Nice upgrade, have you ever tried a similar upgrade to the Carpetriever 28?

I haven't and probably wouldn't they're a higher amperage machine as is due to them being 3 motor (2 suction 1 brush) I feel like changing the motors would results in higher amperage draw and possibly blow breakers.

@@Blackheartvacs Thanks for the reply, Yes I'm aware of the issue concerning total current draw. I did run across an Ametek motor (116297-00) that may be an option. It has a higher CFM rating with a current draw that's within 3/10 of an amp of the 116309 original, that came with the unit.

@@GenerationXT oh that shouldn't be a problem then, hopefully those motors will fit. I have no idea what the mounting system looks like on that machine. I hope they're not like this carpetwin

@@Blackheartvacs The mounting is completely different than the Carpetwin XP. There's definitely more room to work with. According to the datasheets, the motor field is only about 8mm taller than the original. The overall length is virtually identical. So there should be plenty of room to mount them.
