Too bad. It's already too late for me. I already bought this item from Shopee. I also have the same "warranty" card as the one in the video. I thought this is a good buy since the reviews are great (a lot of 5-star reviews). But sometimes, people tend to rate before actually trying the product. I also messaged the seller if they have a specific return/refund process after making the purchase. But I received no response from them so far. So lesson learned! Thank you for this video! I hope people will see this before buying the same product online.

Unfortunately i also bought one and realised my foolishness while reading reviews of the product AFTER i paid for the item. Anyway the SGate ext 2TB hdd arrived and when inspecting the box and the stickers on the hdd found inconsistencies like misprinted and misspelled words. I managed to format the hdd using EXFAT at the suggestion of the seller who seemed so vehement against NTFS, which he claim would destroy the hdd. Another thing which is baffling to me is that this ext hdd is completely silent when u boot it up as you connect it to ur usb port on my laptop. I hv other ext hdd that usually when its up and running u can touch the case and feel the disk heads spinning. Uploading files to the disk is also incredibly slow despite the claims on its box to be usb 3.0 compliant. At the moment i just upload as many non essential files onto it just to see when it will die and stop working all together like yours.
Let me guess, you also bought it from KKBoy Lazada?
