Happy birthday dear friend !! ..I hope you had more gifts 🎈🎁🎁🎀 and blessings ! ..yeah I bought all that a long while back but they still work well ..unlike my daft brain !! lol You have confused me with the Crucial X9 .. lol .. I used to put the SH into IT ..but that crucial is going to keep me awake all night !! 😉😁 ..and remember bro.. the first form of digital storage was gloves ! 😉
My personal favorite USB drive is the Samsung BAR drive. I have had my oldest one for 5 years now. The speeds are incredible. I've purchased 5 of the since then. I keep one of them almost everywhere. One is in my backpack, another in my car, one in my desk, etc. The SanDisk Cruzer is also nice. I think I have one of those aswell.
That Samsung sounds awesome !! I will certainly look into that further ! That old San Disc I have just soldiers on !! It needs the odd format to help it along but I cannot recommend it highly enough ! Thanks so much for watching !!
I have a box full of old memory sticks, going back to the 1990s. Nowadays I use a Toshiba external memory hard drive for backing up and storing all of my files. I have noticed in your previous videos that you still use a desk top computer. I had one back in the 1990s, it was a Windows 95 set up. I don't know whether you were working in the NHS at the time, but in the mid - late 1990s there was a UK government scheme whereby public sector workers, such as nurses and teachers, could buy a laptop computer for a reduced price and pay them off over a year or so. Everyone I know took up that offer and it was probably one reason that computers became so common here in the UK at that time. Millions of British public sector workers did the same. I seem to recall that the computers were provided by Dell. I have been using laptops ever since and probably owned ten or so laptops since the late 1990s. I like them because I can use them anywhere at home, whether sitting in the garden or lying in bed or slumming it in front of the TV, they're just very versatile for me.
Well that works !! ..I started in computing in 1996. I was trashed by a motorcycle accident which effectively turned me into a paramedic (I wanted to give back what I had received !) and when I could take no more of that stress.. a white collar worker sitting at a desk sounded appealing. But I could find no position with my c.v. as an ex roof tiler and paramedic. Then I met a bloke called Dave Wallin. He was in charge of the Nissan computer helpdesk at their HQ in Maple Cross near Watford. We were both of the same age and married and like minded having lived in Australia. I was there for a job as a data inputter (dreadful ..tapping numbers into an endless memory bank) He said 'How would you like to work on our Helpdesk ?.. I see you were a paramedic and you have a knowledge of computers' (well the ones at St. George's Hospital !) So I leapt at the offer ! Another friend of mine said that he had a position at his firm a year later (VCI/DISC) and so my IT career took off. As a 'Network Specialist' ..whatever that is ..'putting the SH into IT ?') I used to rebuild computer hardware mainly NIC card failures and hard wiring about 2000 Windows NT4 workstations and PDC's and BDC's (for by then Hitachi EU) and always disliked the laptop's fiddly parts.. so that is why I have a desk top... because if it goes wrong.. I can fix it easily.. even with my seized up old fish fingers !! lol I get the laptop bit though.. but I have an Apple i-phone SE 3rd gen. which is awesome ..So I sit at my computer during the day.. and at night I try and work out how the Apple works !! lol
Blessings sweetheart ! Jimmy is doing okay.. second blood test in a week ! I love animals as you know ..and jokes !! So a gorilla sadly dies of old age at a zoo just before the zoo opens. As the gorilla was their most popular attraction the zoo owner asks one of his workers to wear a gorilla suit they have in storage.. and pretend to be the gorilla. Quickly, the new "gorilla" becomes the most popular craze at the zoo. About a month in, the craze has started to wear off. So, to get peoples' attention back, he decides to climb over his enclosure and hang from the net ceiling above the lions' den next to him. A large crowd of people gather watching the spectacle in awe and terror. Suddenly the man loses his grip and falls to the floor of the lion's den. The man starts screaming "HELP!! HELP!!!" Suddenly a lion pounces him from behind and whispers in his ear, "Shut the heck up.. you are going to get us both fired." 😉😁🐾 X
