    I just had a DEXA scan and came back pretty bad T-4. I am only 40 years old and had a completed hysterectomy at 30 years old. I am not sure about the bone medicine or injections... It sound like they work well but you if you stop using them the problem will get worse... almost like people using botox to numb their muscles... the muscle get weaker with time and people needs more botox and if they stop using it their face will collage faster.... So, right now after some research, I am doing 2 hours walks per day and very light weight bearing exercise like gentle squat (with chair),.... I changed my diet completely for rich calcium foods: tahini, almond milk, pumpkin puree, lentils, raw cheese, nuts and seeds butter. Plus add good fat; olive oil and Cod Liver oil.,. Dessert is only once per week. Supplements are: Vitamin D+K2M7, Gelatin Peptide, Magnesium Glycinate, Zinc, Calcium from New Zealand grass fed-grass finished Bovine, ....and the VERY important is eating NATTO everyday for the high vitamins K2. K2 push the calcium into the bone....Most important is PRAYERS!

    Before the mid 90s, osteoporosis wasn’t an illness. And then pouf! It is now! Not a word on weight bearing exercises…

    I have been working in oral surgery as well as general dentistry for 40 years and I have seen several, not “1 in 60,000” patients with issues in their jaw of osteonecrosis due to the use of Bisphosphonates. This is not a very informative video and previous comments have had more information than what this video is had in regards to diet and exercise and weight, bearing etc. etc.

    I was diagnosed with osteoporosis approximately 5 years ago. I have been getting a reclast infusion once yearly. My osteoporosis improved. It went from osteoporosis to osteopenia. I went off reclast for a little over a year and I have osteoporosis again. I also have dental issues and my periodontist is concerned about my getting jaw necrosis. I do wish my doctor had explained that to me before I started the reclast.

      I am so sorry for you. It was unconscionable that your MD failed to educate you so your could make an informed decision. I have to wonder if they don’t get financial kick backs for doing this to people.

      I had one infusion after being diagnosed with osteopenia. I was told some people have reactions and some don’t. Sounded like not a big deal so went ahead with it. I had the infusion in the morning by the afternoon I felt sick and went to bed. I have never been so ill in all my life. I couldn’t drink or eat , it was like a switch had gone off saying no food or drink and my body obeyed. My taste buds either didn’t work or had a massive over reaction to what would have usually been very bland food. I ended up three days in hospital on a drip. It was like poison. This stays in your body for 12 months!! I would recommend to be very careful when encouraged to have these things put into your body. Do your own research . It’s three months later and I still have reactions to it. Needless to say Never Again!!

    @Ian Hobbs :
    Correct! This MD seems to lack knowledge of recent research.
    It is dangerous to advise Vit D3 and Calcium, as such.. Calcium as a supplement may increase issues with the heart.
    This video is lacking info about Boron, as you already said. Boron regulates Calcium and Magnesium metabolism, strengthening bones, inhibits peeing out of Calcium, activates vitamin D3, regulates sex hormones,, works anti-inflammatory (reducing arthritis).
    Also missing is vitamin K2, which sends Calcium to bones and teeth, instead of to weak organs and blood vessels.
    Get calcium from food.
    Vitamin K2: discuss this with your physician in case of using blood thinners. Ask for blood thinners compatible with vitamin K2.
    Okay, vitamin D3 is great, as it regulates some 2000 genes, and indeed activates absorption of calcium. Magnesium is required for energy production, relaxes muscles, is required for balancing calcium and D3 activity.
    If your doctor doesn't understand all this or refuses to cooperate, find another doctor..

    Very nice. A viewpoint I needed to hear. I'm 67 and my DEXA recently was 4.5. Doc said to go on Prolea but I have all of the reservations encountered in this video. He said I am past the point where calcium and D would make much difference. Still I wonder about things like bone broth, etc. After all, it's not like low thyroid where the answer is clear as day. This seems to be more murky. Anyway, thank you for this clear and informative video.

      I have heard of and experienced healing while quoting the bible out loud so definitely do that every day. It makes my joints ,bones and everything so much stronger. Look up healing scriptures or maybe all the Bible is healing I don't know. There are times me or my family didn't get healing until I tithed you can try that too just never stop tithing.
      Play 'healing prayer' utube videos as much as you want, I get healing when I play them. Benny Hinn has 'healing prayer' utube videos and 'Atmosphere For Healing' utube videos. 🤗🙏

    I would seriously like to know if one single person has had a good experience with Fosamax. I have done extensive searches for positive experiences and have yet to find one. One website had over 1200 reviews, and not one had a good experience. Doctors who aren't using the drug seem to be the only ones who praise it. Patients are having absolutely horrible side effects. I'm taking my chances with an even better diet, more extensive exercise and a combo of supplements and chiropractic care.

      I'm 47 and got diagnosed with Osteoporosis just two days ago, and my doctor already prescribed Fosamax for me. I have not taken it yet, but have already read about so many bad experiences and now I'm scared to take it. Also, I recently had a dental implant come loose and fall out which is what prompted my periodontist to advise on a DEXA bone density test for me which lead to the Osteoporosis diagnosis. I am very worried of the osteonecrosis risk to my jaw as a side effect of Fosamax.
