I have learned not to drink coffee on an empty stomach. Made a huge difference on my gut health. Eventually I stopped the morning hot coffee and occasionally have a cold brew while I eat lunch.
Really! Way too many processed foods being discussed in comments. And in content of video. Meat, eggs, healthy dairy, fresh organic veg. It's all we need.
They are not unavoidable. I just looked in my fridge, and I didn't find any items that have the ingredients she mentioned. But you HAVE to read labels. For ex: cottage cheese. The store brand where I shop has both guar gum AND carragenen in it, along with preservatives and a bunch of other crap. I read the labels of every brand I could find and one brand, Daisy, has milk cream and salt. My rule of thumb - If I look at a label and there are more than 4 or 5 ingredients, it's probably a no-go for me.
Lynnwilliams5432, where do you get bacteria lactobacillus reuteri?? I am using HCL (with Betaine and pepsin) before each large meal to help digest and absorb vitamins from food and supplements, also eating sardines and cheese, yogurt etc for calcium.

After the initial fermentation process, many companies add additional sugar and yeast to jumpstart another fermentation, converting the sugar to more alcohol. Depending on the brand, alcohol levels can vary from 3% to about 8%. Research surrounding the presence of probiotics in hard kombucha is still ongoing.

Not for everyone. I have had migraines for over 40 years and these have never triggered a migraine. There are different types of migraine headaches and different causes and triggers. So you pretty much have to personalize your preventatives. Unless you’re on a preventative medication.
I was a strict vegetarian for 28 years , I didn’t drink milk, I rarely had cheese or ice cream because of the mucus it caused, no fish. At 28 , I became a vegan. I have been a vegan for 38 years. Never drank coffee, I don’t drink soda pops. I don’t drink beer or any alcohol. I don’t use white sugar and use D-sugar very, very little. There is hardly anything I can buy at the grocery stores. I use very little rice milk. This year at 66 , I was diagnosed with stage four osteoporosis. I am the only one in my 7 siblings that has osteoporosis and eat the way I do. Years ago I wanted to make sure I took great care of my body so I wouldn’t have health issues. I had understood that dairy robbed your body of calcium needed for bones. I thought for sure because I never was a milk drinker I would be fine in that area. What gives??😏

Both my husband and I worked with Danny to help him start Bella Vita in Lodi California. Both Charlotte and Danny both died of cancer. Of course Charlotte was nearly 100. Yet I am the one in my family that has the most health problems. It’s frustrating. Thx
Oxalate it shouldn’t be use by people who has kidney conditions, specially kidney stones. I have a beautiful spinach and not every day but, sometimes I eat it for years. My friend is an urologist he said the same thing. Miss information to the public. Now I always say to much of any food, it’s not good for you. Moderation is the key.

@janisbell7880 I think that can be fine as long as that's not the only source of water you drink. The carbonation can cause issues for some people if you have too much of it.
Vegetables high in oxalates bind to calcium as it leaves the body. Learn which foods are high in oxalates and limit these foods. Spinach should be totally eliminated from diet.
Spinach smoothies in my 40s/50s caused me to develop a big stone in my right kidney...way too big to pass, over 2cm. Still there; according to urologist, it won't hurt me even though I often suffer lower right back pain. 😢 Also, my parathyroid malfunctioned, causing calcium to be leached from my bones. Now osteopenic. Parathyroidectomy has corrected blood calcium levels. Drinking lemon water to help dissolve kidney stone, but I am going to have another doctor look at this situation. Oxalates can be dangerous. Go to Sally K. Norton's site, or buy her book to help save bones!
I used to drink Great value almond milk cause it was cheaper. When I would use it in n Mac and cheese, my stomach would literally hurt for two hours . I finally found out it was carrageen. The internet said milk by. Silk did not contain .Been drinking that brand ever since. No pain.

Oh my goodness! I work at a health food store where our "luncheon meats" are made of tofu. But they contain carrageenan! So read labels at a health food store!
I don't think it has caffeine so probably a good idea! I remember being able to buy carob bars that were like chocolate bars but I think the chocolate industry took exception to that! I used to buy them all the time and then they just disappeared. I never see care of powder in the natural health stores anymore, but I assume that can be bought online.

almond milk is full of oxalates, As are all nuts and nut products. A modest amount of low oxalate nuts (Macadamia is a delicious choice) is a better choice than trying to replace dairy milk with something that isn't milk.
I am so confused... somebody says to take none fat dairy... and now you say some fat intake is okay. What should i do to control my chlostrol? Please help me.
Hi @aemami7698 Dietary cholesterol typically doesn't have a huge impact on blood cholesterol levels, those are from what's produced in your liver and intestines (only about 20% comes from your food). If your cholesterol levels are high I would encourage you to work with a holistic nutrition professional to create a protocol to help you lower your cholesterol.
I highly recommend that you read "the cholesterol Hoax." The lower your cholesterol, the more likely you are to die from any cause. The higher your cholesterol, the more likely you are to live longer and healthier. Cholesterol is the building block for all of our hormones, and repairs cell walls. if your cholesterol is high it may mean that you have recently been eating cholesterol rich foods and it may go down shortly after the lab test is done for all you know. It may also signal that your body has a lot of repair work to do. When statin drugs were discovered, the normal range for cholesterol was lowered which was a really good marketing campaign. Monitoring and prescribing statin drugs is a cash cow for the medical and pharmaceutical companies. It has no effect on whether or not people get heart attacks, etc. healthy fat is healthy, especially in the context of a healthy diet which doesn't necessarily mean what we were taught. There's a whole political game that resulted in the statin industry. Same with some other medication. Keep studying, keep learning, and study your own specific situation… If you are fortunate you might find a natural - oriented practitioner, MD or otherwise, who can advise you as to which is better for you among the different choices. Bottom line, we were told the absolutely wrong thing about consuming fat. Basically, the food pyramid should be upside down from what we were told. Give or take a few adjustments.
Carageenan is ubiquitous in ultra processed food products. It's a quick trip to a leaky gut with this hyperallergenic emulsifier. More votes for a single whole foods approach to eating for healthstyle.
It’s in my cottage cheese. I love cottage cheese, it has a lot of protein in it and when eaten with fresh fruit is a good breakfast. Idk what I’ll do if I can’t find some without carrageenan. Have never even heard of it until today.
@@Tina-si1gz Good Culture has a great/clean cottage cheese. I've purchased it at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target & Kroger. I'm sure other grocery stores carry it.

Wait what? Does Carbonated water have phosphoric acid in it?? It’s not an ingredient on the label. I usually drink La Croix …it says only carbonated water.
Hi @jeanv2929 Carbonated water typically does not contain phosphoric acid. It is, however, slightly acidic so I do not recommend drinking more than 1-2 servings per day.
No, but because it is acidic do you want to use some xylitol or other alkaline food in your mouth after drinking it, just like you would after having a soda, and waiting a bit before you brush your teeth. If you are having any kind of problem with your bones, it may also be affecting your teeth.
I can’t understand this about caffeine as I have been drinking decaffeinated coffee that has been in all supermarkets for years.!!! But drink mostly decaf tea.but I do take an iron supplement
I cannot eat sugar or dairy milk. I bought Redwood Hill Farm's plain Goat Milk Kefir. I was looking at the ingredients of all the Kefirs, and I saw this one was using goat milk of course, and lots of probiotics. I thought Great! I ate it 2 times in my oatmeal, and got pain in my stomach. hmm This was the only new item, so I didn't eat it for next 2 days, no problem. So I looked at the ingredients again. To my surprise, as the very end, it says it contains Milk!! I'm hoping I can return this to the store.
Make your own... i was brought up makink mayonnaise for my mother... simle... a egg yolk, add a continious thread of oil and keep mixing it fast with fork.. uninterrupted... it will thickened and you have mayonnaise.... and a lot better than Hellmans. Voila!
I make mine with an immersion blender. One cup olive oil in small wide mouth mason jar (bullet cups work, too), drop in whole egg, salt and Dijon mustard to taste. Lower blender over egg and start on low. As the egg and oil blend, lift blender a bit and grab the rest of the oil by tipping and turning jar. Takes less than a minute. Olive oil is strong, but so much more healthy than commercial products! No preservatives, so must be used in a timely manner.
So carrageen phosphoric acid gums . If we don’t get all foods from USA what does organic mean around the world? Cultured fish and such too besides glyphosates? Bysodium EDTA .

YES - it infuriates me to pick up either cream or butter and find additives - absolutely unnecessary and I won't buy them. And if try to eat right, then the experts say the way you cook the food is harmful to your health.
Read labels. If there are more than 4 or 5 ingredients- probably no good. Pass.
This is true, cockroaches are dried in coffee beans when roasting, it's a discusting industry.
...Barbara O'neill says that for every cup of coffee one needs to drink 5 cups of water, or else you're dehydrated 😊

There is no fresh food at a store. Farmers market and share butchered cow with a farmer.suppot the little guys they have the great quality food.😊
That's a broad statement. It depends on the source. If local sources bring in produce, and eggs, for instance, it will be fresher.
Only shop the fresh produce and meats sections and you don't have to worry about these questionable ingredients in processed foods.
Really! Way too many processed foods being discussed in comments. And in content of video. Meat, eggs, healthy dairy, fresh organic veg. It's all we need.
It's important to start reading the ingredients on even things like meat, and paying attention to the label and the numbers on the produce.

Carrageenan is in a lot of coffee creamers.
What brand of mineral water was held up during this interview ? I didn't catch the name.
Gerolsteiner.
Where do you get organic healthy bones for bone broth?? What kind of bones? Is it mostly cow bones? Thanks.
I really learnt 🤗🤗 a lot today... fantastic 😍
VERY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE SUBJECT ❤ THANKS A WORLD FOR SHARING BUT THOSE ARE UNAVOIDABLE DUE TO GREEDY FOOD COMPANIES. ITS A SHAME FOR HUMANITY
Malabsorption issues so do bacteria lactobacillus reuteri and Betaine HCL+ pepsin bc low stomach acid. Do cheese & sardines for calcium…

Lynnwillians where do you get lacto bac ruetei and hcl betaine and pepsin bc from and who sells these
Lynnwilliams5432, where do you get bacteria lactobacillus reuteri?? I am using HCL (with Betaine and pepsin) before each large meal to help digest and absorb vitamins from food and supplements, also eating sardines and cheese, yogurt etc for calcium.

After the initial fermentation process, many companies add additional sugar and yeast to jumpstart another fermentation, converting the sugar to more alcohol. Depending on the brand, alcohol levels can vary from 3% to about 8%. Research surrounding the presence of probiotics in hard kombucha is still ongoing.
Kroger sells Heritage Farm chicken breast has carrageenan in the ingredients. Please check before you buy.
Sadly that's a common additive. Several grocery stores that make and sell rotisserie chicken also use carrageenan in their recipe.

Reignite Health makes a All in 1 shake with bone broth. The vanilla is delicious
Glad you are spreading this information. Very important vegan 45 years and learning more everyday about the importance of whole foods.
Veganism is not healthy. You have to get various supplements to keep heathy, vegan food is full of chemicals and bulking agents.
So much to learn! Thank you
What about calcium chloride? I found that ingredient in a can of kidney beans.
If you buy organic canned beans at Trader Joe market, Sprouts Market, Whole Food market etc, there won’t be any calcium chloride or other rubbish in them. I normally stocked up all kinds of organic canned beans when I go to those kind of markets which carry organic / fresh produce and healthy goods. Hope that helps. 🎉
What about seltzer from soda stream?
Kombucha and chocolate are trigger food for migraine headaches.
Mira needs to get with Sally Norton on cutting back on high oxalate foods. Quinoa = high oxalate.

OMG?! THE caffiene thing is me!!! I'm weening off starting tomorrow!
Vegetables high in oxalates bind to calcium as it leaves the body. Learn which foods are high in oxalates and limit these foods. Spinach should be totally eliminated from diet.
So true!!! Everyone should have a list of high oxcalate foods
Spinach smoothies in my 40s/50s caused me to develop a big stone in my right kidney...way too big to pass, over 2cm.
Still there; according to urologist, it won't hurt me even though I often suffer lower right back pain. 😢
Also, my parathyroid malfunctioned, causing calcium to be leached from my bones.

Silk has bad oils in it, you might want to try Mooala Unsweetened Almond Organic Milk.

Almond milk also spinach high in oxalates.
How much spinach can I eat that won't harm me?

Rule of thumb no processed foods always buy organic foods any kinds as long organic 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Can you believe organic?
Many organic foods will use seed oils which aren't good for you. You still ned to read the labels.
FDA now allow Bill Gates toxic aPeel into organic food too! So make sure your store does not allow it. They don't have to label it either.
THE BEST ORGANIC ALMOND MILK IS CALLED: THREE TREES. JUST ALMONDS.
Great info here! I go for PFSA free mineral waters only as well. Pellegrino Essenza brand has no PFSAs. It says natural mineral water but also has carbon dioxide in the label. Is that an issue?
.
What about drink that is carbonated water, stevia, flavors, and "citric acid"; is citric acid in drinks bad?
Citric acid is good. Phosphoric acid is bad.
Typically the citric acid is corn based so unless it says it's made from non-GMO corn you are getting glyphosate residue which I do not recommend.
Citric acid is no good. That along with natural flavors are two of the worst things and yet they're in almost everything in a package!
This is in pet food also!

What about emulsifiers like lecithins and "mono and di-glycerides of fatty acids"?
What about CAROB powder as a substitute for a hot chocolate drink?
I don't think it has caffeine so probably a good idea! I remember being able to buy carob bars that were like chocolate bars but I think the chocolate industry took exception to that! Not Carob or cocoa. Carob is very high in oxalates. Oxalates bind to calcium as it leaves the body.

What about Maca?
Ehat about gellan gum in almond milk?
almond milk is full of oxalates, As are all nuts and nut products.
@bitrudder3792 Thank you so much for your kindness and explaining it thoroughly.

No have to list
Hi @jeanv2929 Carbonated water typically does not contain phosphoric acid. It is, however, slightly acidic so I do not recommend drinking more than 1-2 servings per day.
No, but because it is acidic do you want to use some xylitol or other alkaline food in your mouth after drinking it, just like you would after having a soda, and waiting a bit before you brush your teeth. If you are having any kind of problem with your bones, it may also be affecting your teeth.

Also it has soybean oil too. A heavy seed omega 6 oil.
