Paul, I watch your videos all the time, and I have to say, I don't think I have EVER been as excited as I am now watching this video in particular, and I don't think people understand that if what you're hearing is true, we are in for a BIG BIG BIG treat with the PS6 in regards to the rumor that they are working on physics/special effects. This is MASSIVE if they come up with competent hardware/software/some sort of solution to make this achievable in real-time in video games. As someone myself who is obsessed with video game tech this is something that video games have been severely lacking for a LONG time imo. All the special effects you see in video games are all faked, and utilize 2-d flat textures to be achievable, fire, magic, water, you name it. I don't think people understand fully how much real-time 3-d volumetric particles will vastly improve immersion in video games and graphical fidelity if utilized. Especially things like water physics, this requires BILLIONS of calculations to be simulated in real-time accurately and is very taxing on CPU hardware and that's why we need to fake it to make water in video games, but then it's not interactive, doesn't look real, same with smoke, fire/explosions, etc. A lot of these are achievable somewhat with VDB's but they are gigabytes in size to implement it in a video game and it's not feasible performance wise. So just the fact that it may be that Sony is working on a solution to this for PS6 makes me feel like a child in a candy store, truly. Imagine for example, a massive battle on a pirate ship, fighting against a massive sea monster, and waves, rain, water is all crashing and interacting in real-time at the kind of detail you see in CGI?!???? Or imagine playing the next Hogwarts Legacy like game and when you cast spells massive CGI level fire is coming out and 3-d volumetric smoke is left in the ashes?!?!?????? It's so immersive and incredible, not even just for CGI graphic fidelity but think even stylized artistic games like Mario and there's water levels with interactive water, etc. It's very exciting to think about and I pray this is true! T^T ♥♥♥ I am also almost equally excited about the rumor of more realistic interactive NPC's, that is another thing that breaks immersion, is those robotic NPC movement/interaction, we have UE5 level detailed worlds with robotic NPC's/etc. and it's almost like it's devoid of life, so hearing they are working on this as well is just so exciting. I am sure Ai is playing a big part in this being achievable! :DDDDD
Sony is so smart! * *_* * Honestly, I wanted something like this for a while (just wanted it). I don't want all enemies to just run at us and perish. Personality, like deciding to run away or approach/attack you in a smart way, etc., would be very cool. And imagine smart allies who play in a way that helps you. (Humans will still be the best.) :D
Likely something like that regarding raster but with more advanced features. Let's say PS6 is 4 years away... in 2016 a top of the line GPU was 1080ti which is in raster on par with PS5
Of course, Sony would consider other SOC vendors, but it would take a lot for them to move from their very successful relationship with AMD / TSMC - AMD / TSMC have really delivered for SONY since SONY switched to them - Intel doesn't have as good GPU or fab technology - nVidia is one of those companies that seems to really piss off their partners, so it would strange for Sony to switch to them So, anyway, it would very surprising if Intel was really ever in the running for this... even if Intel thought they were...
Yeah in 2027 hopefully they realize we need more than a graphics upgrade we need native backwards compatibility for all generations and also make it possible for more than one damn external hard drive to be plugged in at once and it better have a disc version
we need games, optimised ones, UE5 is so heavy that my 4090 can't keep up, and the games... I have played like 3 games in this year lol nothing is interesting for me, after finishing spider-man 2 I sold my ps5, my PC runs when it's raining outside just to play FH5 for 10 minutes lol
PS3 compatibility: Why would they bother? If the PS6 launches in 2028, that will be 23 years since the PS3 launch. Sony has encouraged their developers and third parties to produce remakes of the big sellers on the PS3, except for those replaced annually such as sports franchises. There isn't much left besides niche titles that didn't make much money, regardless of whether a niche audience thought it was the most wonderful thing ever. If Sony or the publisher thought there was money to be made from an old IP, they've likely done the remake already or it's in the schedule for the PS5.
I think at best it’ll just be third party PS3 stuff and they’ll charge again for it to even if you owned it digitally on PS3. At this point just do it on PC and save yourself the hassle. One day it’ll be almost flawless and you won’t be repaying Sony to play disc games you own. I do agree though, they may not even bother full stop forever.
@@TheAmazingSpiderGuy_99 I'm pretty sure if you have a substantial PS3 digital library, and Sony is supporting PS3 compatibility on a new platform, you'd get full access once you attached your PSN account to the newly purchased machine. They've been good in that regard and they know there would be a class action suit put together the day it became known past digital purchases were not being honored. This is another reason they prefer remakes over more than a single generation of backward compatibility. Though the PS3 will always be a special case as it's such a pain to emulate.
Well space marine is a cpu heavy game and it drops 10-15fps under series x in that game and rarely hits 60. The ps5 pro will have to make caveats to run it at 60fps. The ps5 cpu can be a bottleneck for some games. Especially since if it runs at full clocks, the gpu will not! The should have pushed the clocks on the cpu higher. Like xbox did with the one x cpu! The ps5 pro will be held back!
Now it's time for Sony to provide full support for 3 screens so you can run asetto corsa Neo with 60 and 120 hertz. So we sim racers and flight sims can buy sony instead. why not 2000-4000 dollars and many good games. So they can have sony lite for those who like to play with a useless controller on a screen.
If the ps5 pro is $700 you know the ps6 will be $900-$1000 at least you know they want to charge it for that.i would take that $700 save a bit more and build a pc so when the $1000 ps6 launches all you have to do is buy a current mid range gpu and it will be better then the ps6. or switch to xbox game pass is such a great deal.
Emotion Engine 2.0! I can see this coming back again for Sony in the near future! Maybe PS7 / 8 is where the Playstation CPU will be able to employ real world physics for everything! Ive a AI translating app that is what i think is real life... employs AI.... you can chat casually like SIRI etc so the tech is already there.... XBX is dead! I cant see XBX coming back
4 years from today the good news for everyone who needs a good dessert before the main dish the next generation of ps6 we have the 5pro ahead of us at that price that this console's have the have no competition especially compared to a pc at that price.
Sony needs to go handheld hybrid like Nintendo did , or at least make a dedicated handheld as an alternative option to a PS6 console. Give us PS Vita 2 or PSP 2 , and make them premium handhelds. I always used to look at Sony products In the 90s and early 2000s and think.. "premium built product" , but nowdays sadly I no longer look at them that way , they need to get their quality back to evoking that kind of a impressive hardware perception on people. Sony used to have a sleek sophisticated style about all their products that's just not there nearly as much anymore , they used to be exotic and highly experimental, but nowdays Sony is too generic and homogenized (American Influenced/prioritized Instead of proudly Japanese).
We know what it will do. It's gonna be a crossgen for 3+ years where the PS6 will run PS5 games at higher fidelity and framerates . Then after crossgen era , games made in unreal engine 6 and the likes are gonna roll out. Pushing PS6 to its knees just like the ue5 are doing to PS5
At this point, Sony needs to earn the right to make a PS6. Until the PS5 is truly taken advantage of by more developers, and maintains a substantial console-exclusive library, a PS6 release is DOA.

With way more ports to PC, uninteresting games in general, let alone uninteresting PS exclusives, and more hassle to play on consoles (whatever happened to just popping in the disc and starting the game anyway) it's just not a worthwhile investment. :DDDDD
16 minutes and nothing to answer the question in the title .
The PS6 would have to use a RTX5090 generation GPU at least to be a thing.
Likely something like that regarding raster but with more advanced features. Let's say PS6 is 4 years away... in 2016 a top of the line GPU was 1080ti which is in raster on par with PS5
Nvidia should make a console powerhouse. It’ll sell like crazy
I am surprise you didn’t mentions sony can implement arm cpus on ps6 in the future
PS6 November 2028.

can't wait for that Ratchet and clank remastered for PS6.
Of course, Sony would consider other SOC vendors, but it would take a lot for them to move from their very successful relationship with AMD / TSMC
- AMD / TSMC have really delivered for SONY since SONY switched to them
- Intel doesn't have as good GPU or fab technology
- nVidia is one of those companies that seems to really piss off their partners, so it would strange for Sony to switch to them
So, anyway, it would very surprising if Intel was really ever in the running for this... even if Intel thought they were...
Gran Turismo! from PS1 to PS5! what we thought or perceived to be realistic to realism on PS5! and PSVR 2
what about ecbok? do the want backward easy compatability
If I bought a Playstation, haven't had one since PS1, I'd have to buy a third party Xbox style offset sticks controller.
Yeah in 2027 hopefully they realize we need more than a graphics upgrade we need native backwards compatibility for all generations and also make it possible for more than one damn external hard drive to be plugged in at once and it better have a disc version
Reuters is pronounced "*roy* • tuhz" not "roo • ters" just a friendly tip to help you sound professional.
they need more games and the price needs to be right
we need games, optimised ones, UE5 is so heavy that my 4090 can't keep up, and the games...
Isn't that the main point of the new systems? To play older games enhanced? It is not like they are able or willing to make good games anymore.
Your the Golden Standard Sir! 👍
Can't wait for more last of us and uncharted remastered games im so hyped for ps6 already
The ps6, with africanized celtic god of war and wakandapanafircanism of russia
Based.
Woke
😂😂
Well space marine is a cpu heavy game and it drops 10-15fps under series x in that game and rarely hits 60.
The ps5 pro will have to make caveats to run it at 60fps. The ps5 cpu can be a bottleneck for some games. Especially since if it runs at full clocks, the gpu will not!
The should have pushed the clocks on the cpu higher. Like xbox did with the one x cpu! The ps5 pro will be held back!
i personally don't think they a re gonna do ps3 retro compatibility beacause of the ps+ classic
The only thing it’s going to revolutionize is the price of consoles
I cant see XBX coming back
They won't be doing what emulator makers are doing on pc.
PS5 Pro it's the last console I will buy, I already play more on PC.
I don’t even has a ps5 yet💀
If it doesnt come with a disc drve they don't get my money.
And it begins!!
I´m on a base ps4 and at this point, I think I will be waiting for the ps6 lol
2030 will be "youll own nothing and be happy"
hoard some physical copies now.
future will be all rental/digital and will be DEI games.
i hope RDNA4 will not less powerful than ps5 pro's gpu at least. if it lower then no point getting it.
Hope that means games will use the AI on the chip
Wont be happening until at least 2028
Source: trust me bro
late 2028 or 2029
Thanks!
Yeah it's going to revolutionize in ways we don't want by being Sony's first console to launch above 1000 MSRP
1000 with BuyNowPayLater financing including PSplus 😅
Forget about the PS5 Pro, its old news now, the PS6 will be nice to follow the upcoming years now! lol
At this point, Sony needs to earn the right to make a PS6.
Until the PS5 is truly taken advantage of by more developers,
and maintains a substantial console-exclusive library,
a PS6 release is DOA.
This guy is literally telling you that they are working on ps6, obviously comprehension is not your area of strength 🤦

I'm done! No more consoles for me! This generation was the last straw! Back to PC gaming from now on! Maybe I'll pickup Nintendo platforms.
I have a pc, ps5 and Nintendo, problem is leaving the ecosystem of playstation and hundreds of games behind and starting with scratch with steam. Not everyone is willing to switch from console to pc because of $200. Nintendo may have a killer console with dlss.
Yeah I'm skipping this gen of consoles entirely. With way more ports to PC, uninteresting games in general, let alone uninteresting PS exclusives, and more hassle to play on consoles (whatever happened to just popping in the disc and starting the game anyway) it's just not a worthwhile investment.
And I might pick up the next Nintendo console, depending on how it is and what its library will look like. PC plus Nintendo really does seem like the way to go.
@@huzaifahshaikh1535 Well for me its the opposite. I have hundreds of games on steam. No way im moving to another platform.
Do you imagine how good will be the PS4 Games on a PS6???
Bruh, can we please forget about Raytracing and have games focus on physics based gaming next gen?
Can we expect Ps6 at least Twice Rx 7800 XT?, just like Ps5 is better than 2 PS4 Pros Together, Playstation 6 may have 8.000 Cores GPU 4 flops per core Rdna 3-5? and 3Ghz Gpu: 96 Teraflops.
Who would buy a PlayStation that doesn't have Xbox Game Pass with Call Of Duty free and so many other amazing games?
only 799 € blu-ray drive, power cable, hdmi cable and stand sold separately
Corny
You have to pay for all of those if you're building a PC too.
I look forward to last of us rereremaster on the ps6.
You ppl are such sheeple. You regurgitate each others BS. We have so many games that don’t run anywhere near as well as on a high end gaming PC. With a stronger console you can run something like horizon with path tracing at 4k @120 fps. That alone would warrant the purchase of a next gen console
I believe in Marc Cerny.
12:18 - Or just generally the AI holds to a persona's "guidelines" but can adapt and be less rigid? So, as to be able to deal with troll players... more tongue in cheek instead of like today... Nice-Neutral-Angry(Evil/Bad)
"revolutionize the gaming" I think ive heard that more then once before lol...
It won’t revolutionise anything. It’ll just be a more powerful console than PS5 lol
Why bother where are the games?!
price barrier to enter console gaming is insane
Inflation adjusted every generation is about the same.
@@wizzyno1566That’s not an excuse. People don’t see 700 bucks and say: “that’s cheap.”
400 - PS5, 250 SS/Switch is crazy?
A brand new PS5 Slim Digital is £389 here in the UK - you are not going to get a brand new gaming PC that is as powerful for anything under £1000.
It cost me £1200 to build a PC last year that I sold to a friend which used practically the same GPU as the base PS5 (RX 6700 10GB), and an Intel i5 12600k.
RTG ...interesting stuff. 2028 seems about right because we already know the PS5 gen is 8 years with the mid gen refresh at year 4. lol I stopped watching when you mentioned Sara Bond claiming the next Xbox will be the biggest leap ever. You actually talked as if it was credible. Xbox talk the talk, but fail to walk the walk. Remember AAAA games when they could not even deliver masterpiece AAA games. That's straight from the Spinal Tap playbook where "Marshal amps are louder because the dial goes to 11, when all other amps only go up to 10."
Sorry, but after what they revealed with the PlayStation five pro my next machine will be a PC and since every major title on the PS five is a PlayStation 4 game. I already know every PlayStation six game will be on my PlayStation five.
I don't have a PS5 yet and sony wants to talk about PS6
PC and Nintendo is the way
LOL at PC and Nintendo.... both extremes at giving you nothing at extortionate prices!
@@antwangoSays nothing at extortionate prices when the switch can be as cheap as $200 with 5 times the exclusives as Ps5. And then there’s PC which is not only more powerful and can be used as a regular computer, but you don’t have to spend $500-700 every 6 years for a new system, being cheaper in the long run
Ooo paul now your talking.
Literally no reason to go beyond 12k.
Nah PS6 will be 8k 60fps with some raytracing at best, yet first option will be 4k 120 full raytracing.
@@ArielCleirigh that has nothing to do with my comment.

Oh Great Here We Go Again!!!
To save everyone money, is there a linux/windows emulation for any playstation from PS4 and up. For example, the multiple boot OS emulation would be able to run Blender and other open source 3d animation/video editing software to take advantage of the hardware inside the PS5. Obviously that you could use it for browsing&office productivity apps.
