Right. I've been a loyal PS gamer since the original. I will not purchase a PS6 any time soon.
For us it hasn't started. But for them all the sells they have and all the games they have on their platform ia enough. They don't even need to be first party or AAA. Just enough game in their market place to keep sells.
Ps5 not only has less exclusive but the realistic artstyle they use have little differences.
To anyone who is confused about the situation. This is a Patent infringement lawsuit, not a Copyright infringement like everyone thought back in the day. So this lawsuit has nothing to do with artwork or character design. Instead it involves mechanics.
The apparent mechanics in question (I could be wrong) that Nintendo has patented and are suing for are (so far)
(1) The targeting system of tossing an (not an orb) object at a creature in an overworld, like what we see in Legends Arceus.
(2) Mounting and Dismounting a flying creature in the overworld.
(3) And releasing creatures into the over world via an object.
What's even crazier is that the patent(s) was apparently filed in May of this year which was AFTER Palworld's release. And was a month or so right before Sony and Pocketpair publicly announced a new partnership to branch Palworld into many of the same avenues of entertainment and media that Pokemon has experienced.
(2) is wild, how the fuck you gonna patent something like that?
Like no seriously though, the fact can patent fucking gameplay mechanics is fucking disgusting, Nintendo seriously needs to lose this lawsuit or the gaming industry as a whole is fucked.

Patenting game mechanics is such a dick move. Loading screen mini games were patented which is why you hardly saw them (and now there's no point in having them with how fast games load nowadays), the Nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor is patented which sucks because that system has so much potential in RPGs and other games and the upcoming GTA 6 supposedly patented several systems like an AI model that can generate different interiors to help make as many enterable buildings as possible.

They could sue for copyright since that is part of patent infringement. The pals must be different enough that it doesn’t apply.
The crazy part is that Nintendo came up with patent after palword came out. So personally, I don't see how they can sue them over the game, when they didn't even have the patent yet. Also, the games play completely different from one another.
How much do you wanna bet the Patent Palworld is infringing is something Nintendo only just now filed for Patent. It would make sense why it took their lawyers so long.
That wouldn't be legal. You can't patent something after someone else is already doing it and forcing them to close.

There was a Battlefield vietnam spinoff on PS3 that nobody played. Most people slept on it and the servers are shut down now

Yes, it was the last work of DICE created with fidelity and passion. Although sometimes I think that BF3 was better because of its design, atmosphere, campaign, maps, and simply its historical relevance. I remember that the wait before the game came out was mental.

No disc tray and no backward compatibility/emulation is a big turn off when we know the price they are going to be asking for.
At least the PS3’s ridiculous $599 usd ($930 today) was actually justified. You literally had two consoles in 1 (early models had built-in PS2 hardware) and a PS1 emulator and a blu ray player which technically was the very first of its kind.

Battlefeild should go back to 32v32 so they can have an easier time making maps, 64 players is more than enough.
I feel like if you have an oled, ps5 pro is completely unnecessary.
The only people that should get it are people with top tier setups and have no PlayStation at all.
It’s completely unnecessary regardless if you have an OLED or not. The only reason why we ended up with the PS4 Pro was because Sony dropped the ball with the hardware of the base PS4, hence why 8th gen is nicked named as the “7.5 generation”
The PS5 on the other hand truly feels a legitimate generational leap forward which makes the pro model all the more redundant.

I hope there is a campaign in battlefield. I know alot of people think their campaigns are hit and miss, but I still enjoyed them all on some level.
Also, on the Vessi shoes, are the court-side classics waterproof too? I like the way they look alot better than their other shoes.

When you think about it, the fact that Palworld being on Steam, XBOX, and soon to be released on the PS5, Nintendo perhaps can't cope with the idea that an IP so similar to Pokemon being on other platforms, thereby potentially rivaling, if not surpassing, their exclusive Pokemon IP in popularity and thus, sales. Thus, Nintendo wants to nip this in the bud in whatever way they can.
Days Gone is another PS5/PS5 Pro remaster that is rumored to be the next game getting the current gen treatment. And the mixed reception to God of War: Ragnarok on Steam is mostly due to the PSN requirement, which makes sense for multiplayer games, but making it a requirement for Sony's single player games, Sony is practically short circuiting the appeal for their blockbusters.
Here's the problem i have with playstation..... Sony forgot that the fans made them, they need us is not the other way around. Next problems I have with the pro is the GAMES WHERE ARE THE GAMES SONY? I don't wanna spend $ 800 to replay enhance or remastered games.

Coming from a PC gamer, I can confirm 4K is overrated af and is nothing but a resource hog. Honestly, I don’t get why we’re even bothering with 4K to begin with. This Gen is obviously meant to be 1440p or at least 1080p/120fps.
Even on PC, 4K is still an overreach. An RTX 4090 is the only gpu on the market that can do it any justice

AMD definitely has the advantage in a combined APU. If they went with Intel, a different GPU solution would be needed which would likely be a big additional cost.

Nintendo have patents for everything. Its usually a case of if they want to enforce them. Unless they think its damaging to them they often push for a revenue cut as a settlement. Would make sense why they are doing it now with Palworld. They've been waiting to see if the game had legs to see if it was worth the legal fees and that they feel they can make a decent amount of cash.
