Several things wrong with this video. First of all you really don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to the fan base. Not liking the twins creation has nothing to do with white or not white. That’s rcist and you’re rcist for believing that propaganda. Secondly not a single person is complaining about fire in space. Third. Children being born of the force has been done before in Swtor MMO. The issue we have is Disney has made it cheap. Meaning children, born of the force, is a VERY rare thing. It makes everything Darth Sidious was saying meaningless. They could have done something like introduce the light side faction of the Witches of Dathomir. They could have used all that money to tell that story. Instead they injected it with politics and said you better like it or else.
This is a good comment but there is one issue, the reason there aren't any Light Side witches on death Amir is because the planet itself is linked to the dark side, the same way the cave on Dagobah is linked to the dark side. To give a good example if someone were to move to down the mirror for an extended amount of time they would probably start leaning to the dark side
It also changed the force completely
@@dapperghost3409 You’re right about the fact that Dathomir is a dark side planet but an anomaly could happen and the witches could have exiled this so called light side inclined person and she go off onto a light side planet and start a coven of her own. It’s also true that Yoda was aware of the witches for some time and allowed them effectively to practice their magic by not getting the Jedi order involved to stop them. So they’re not quite as evil as they’re initially thought of. IMO totally plausible backstory for a light side coven of witches. It’s simply the casual manifestation of life by light side users that changes everything about the chosen one and makes it more like Avatar the Last Airbender.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. Pretty simple.

The problem people have with more characters being born at the forces because it ruins the point that Anakin is supposed to be the chosen that restores the force. If people being born of the forces just something that happens every once in awhile it takes away the point that Anakin was supposed to be special because of the prophecy. I don't know where this guy is getting the fact it's because it's women being born from the force.
The difference between the twins is that the force was manipulated to create them (presumably) until we find out more while anakins birth was part of a prophesied event. It doesn't change anything or make anakin less special. In other words you could say that anakin was a natural occurring product of the force. Ofc im not saying the show doesn't have its problems but it's not THAT bad

@@yaboythepizzaboi that's not how they're being portrayed. We've seen that with Darth Tenibris and venomous as well as with Starkiller. There's clear differences.
The reason the twins being created using the Force ruins Anakin's character is the fact that Anakin was the result of Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious trying to create a being for decades but failing and in retaliation the Force created Anakin by itself. Creating creatures using the Force is impossible in Star Wars, the only entity that can do that is the will of the Force itself.

When I saw the acolyte trailer, i hoped they were finally showing the grim darkness of the world starwars was set in, where sith still roamed the galaxy in their pure untainted foarm. But we get whatever shit dianey decided to pick out their asses.

Anakin being born of the Force establishes that it's possible, not that he was the only one ever to have been born this way. For all we know, this coven could have been how Plagueis discovered the secret.

Its not about introducing new elements to the lore being bad. Its the fact that the existing element that is so special is ruined. Just like how the first jedi dies to a pathetic tactic. Its not that it cant happen, its that it shouldnt because jedi and especially anakin are special and not just random people running around the galaxy with with no power like everybody else. They are set apart. Also personal side note, the witches or dathomir had magic that kinda made sense and made me think yeah ok this can happen the force isnt binary. But these witches are just lame af. Hope that makes sense.
Telling a Star Wars fan to not hold all of Star Wars to the standards that the franchise itself has set is disingenuous to the fans. Everyone is allowed to like what they want however when it comes to criticism especially constructive criticism, the fans are met with a level of toxicity both from the fans and creators. We all want to enjoy Star Wars and much of the criticism levied at The Acolyte has nothing to do with race, gender, or sexuality. There is a minute section of people who claim to be fans who use those points. Most do not and to assume we do is downright offensive.
There’s no problem with introducing new things and changing the lore. I think what people have the biggest problem with is the clear agenda being pushed onto the viewers when all we really want to see is good Star Wars stories.
And to anybody saying this is just racist misogynistic white men throwing a fit, how come Ahsoka didn’t receive this level of criticism? It’s a bad show, take the L and move on.
This is driving me insane too. Several of the "changes" actually make the prequels make more sense. Making a technique that creates a force user works as a predecessor to Plagueis' technique to create the Sith'Ari. He took this technique and created a chosen one.
Same to having "there hasn't been a sith in a millenia" being a cover-up. Because it explains a far bigger plot hole: "Why does Yoda know about Bane's rule of two." It's ridiculous how kneejerky people are.
We as Star Wars fans shouldn’t be bashing other Star Wars fans for liking a show that we think is bad. I personally like the show, I think it has really big potential. But if you keep pushing and saying it’s bad Disney is just gonna ignore it, if you don’t like the show. Don’t watch it, don’t give it the time of day, you’re giving Disney more money. If you actually care about Star Wars, you would shut your mouth. Let’s be civil people here. This is an example, if you got the chance to be a Jedi, and you acted like this over a simple show, how would you think others around you would react? My guess is with confusion and slight annoyance. Because you’re getting all worked up over a show that hasn’t even finished yet. I don’t like the new Star Wars stuff all that much either, that’s why I don’t watch it, but rather I watch the older stuff, to me there are only 6 movies, the sequels didn’t happen.
I refuse to watch them. Cause I don’t want to make myself angry and let Disney capitalize over that anger. I haven’t seen many of the new shows yet (mainly cause I’m watching it in order, I’m on The Clone Wars) but when I get to it, I won’t be watching shows such as whatever the name of that one was that’s before the sequels, I don’t remember. But anyways, this hating on Star Wars media, because it’s new and “not Star Wars” is getting old, it happened with the Prequels. I’m sick and tired of hearing it, again trust me I don’t like the sequels, the only decent one was the first one.
A lot of older people who grew up with the Original Trilogy have a hatred for the Prequels, there aren’t many people that I’ve met who saw the original trilogy in theaters who liked the prequels when they came out and they still don’t. One person I know says that they hated Anakin, calling him whiney and annoying. Saying that he was always ‘too angry’ and you couldn’t see the conflict in him. Best thing to do when you don’t agree with someone is to just not engage, ignore them if you’re gonna be a jerk about it. When arguing be civil, and respectful. Say “I disagree with you on this, but I respect that you have an opinion.” It’s the easiest route to not starting a war in comment sections, or having a heated argument in real life. It’s dumb, and the fact that some people in their 30’s and 40’s are doing this is absurd. IT IS A MOVIE FRANCHISE. I love Star Wars, loved it all my life. But I don’t go complaining over a few episodes of a tv show because I don’t like it.

I am a Tolkien fan, and I agree that the dross that was season one of rings of power does not destroy the professors great stories. It is too irrelevant seen in the grand scheme of things . The story looses a lot of Its inner logic through the lore breaks and his stories loose their magic. . And that is the same with star wars. But nobody forces me to watch this modern superficial trash . Just like with starwars I watch the old films and in the case of Tolkien listen to Audiobooks. If Darth plaguis, the last sith who achieved immortality cpuld barely pull this off it dont make sense that a coven of witches rely on it for reproduction, and ibviously it takes a dair amount of power to do so, that means that they have to have a watch at all times thats as powerful if bot more than plagis and it thisvalone complicates the matter. I know its all fiction so they can do what they want, but their milking start wars for money at this point, not milling it for story, which is what theu should of been doing.
