  • These Air Fryer Chicken Thighs are juicy on the inside with a crispy and crunchy skin on the outside. This super simple recipe makes perfect chicken thighs every time. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ CLICK FOR RECIPE ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
    🥑🍓🥦🍉🍋 INGREDIENTS 🥔🥚🍫🧁🎂🍰
    ➖4 bone-in chicken thighs
    ➖1 Tbsp olive oil
    ➖1 tsp salt
    ➖2 tsp paprika
    ➖3 tsp garlic powder
    ➖1 tsp onion powder
    ➖1 tsp dried thyme
    ➖1 tsp brown sugar
    🖨 FULL RECIPE HERE: simplyhomecooked.com/air-frye...
    📃📄📃📄📃INSTRUCTIONS 📃📄📃📄📃📄
    1. Use a paper towel to pat 4 bone-in chicken thighs dry. Then place them into a medium sized bowl.
    2. Then drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the chicken and mix it in using your clean hands.
    3. In a small bowl combine 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp paprika, 3 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp dried thyme, and 1 tsp brown sugar using a fork.
    4. Now sprinkle the seasoning into the bowl of chicken and use tongs to toss everything together until the chicken is fully coated. You can cook the chicken right away or for a better flavor, you can cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate it overnight to marinate.
    5. Now, preheat your basket air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit for about 3 minutes.
    6. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the basket of the air fryer. Cook at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken over and continue to cook for 7-8 more minutes or until the internal temperature of the meat reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit. I recommend using an instant-read thermometer to check the temperature of the chicken.

    As much as I love a cast iron seared chicken thigh finished in the oven, I just haven't had the time to take my time with dinners anymore 💔
    But I am now, for the 4th time, reusing this method because the chicken has come out so crispy yet juicy on the inside and I just might do this forever now lol. Thanks a million!!

    Today, I had to cook my skin-on chicken or risk losing it, so I went to UA-cam to find out whether to cook it in my air fryer or Instant Pot. I chose the air fryer after seeing your video, and am I glad I did!
    I followed your recipe fairly closely (though I will admit to being less concerned with using measuring devices than you), except I did not have any onion powder. So I used yours as a basis and made what I call my "little-bit-of-this-little-bit-of-that" spice. The four pieces of chicken that came out at the other end of the process are absolutely the best I have made in a VERY long time. No wonder it has become your 'go-to' chicken recipe. For me, it will be hard indeed not to just eat the chicken with nothing else.
    It makes yours a subscribable channel! Next step....DONUTS!

    In your airfryer salmon recipe video, you mentioned you preferred your oven style airfryer for meats. Is there a reason you chose to use your basket style one here? I only have oven style airfryer, so I'd love it if you could suggest modifications to use that type. Thank you!

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  2 роки тому

      Hi :) I actually use both of them. I got the basket kind of air fryer since a lot of people were confused by seeing the oven style and kept saying it was a toaster oven. So for videos I only use the basket type. Cooking salmon in the oven air fryer is easier since you don't have to try to pick it up out of the basket. You can honestly use either one for any recipe. I feel like the oven style of air fryer runs a little hotter/faster. So these chicken thighs may cook a little faster (1-3 minutes). However, even every air fryer can have slight differences. The only modification would be to check it a little before you take them out and check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to make sure its done. I hope that helps clarify and I hope you love this recipe! :)

    • @jiberri

    • @SimplyHomeCooked

    I tried this recipe. It tasted great, the only thing I changed was the time. I did 380 degrees for a total of 25 mins.

    What's the point of drying the chicken if you're just gonna dump oil all over it?

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  4 місяці тому

      Extra moisture/water will create a steamy atmosphere which will result in soggy skin. So you want to pat it dry to remove the water. The oil heats up differently which creates an extra crispy skin.

    I am not a thigh person. We like skinless or bone in chicken breasts. And not a fan of the spices you picked we prefer plain or like lemon pepper or Montreal Seasoning

    Real Cook would take a little piece taste it , you didn’t and using tongs while mixing it is not the way all the ingredients will be mixed perfectly 😂😂😂
