@@ParkersReef Are you saying the 400 has been updated? Or are you saying only the new Jump 800 has the updates? I am in the states, any news on when the SK800 will be out here? Thanks ahead of time!
I've never personally ran a deltic 600i so I couldn't comment. I can say that the skimmer is indeed very quiet though, despite being a dual intake pump!
@@ParkersReef Where I live neither Skimmer is available so it's online shopping for me. I had the AD600 which I could adjust the pumps intake separately (both intake or 1 intake, and 1 recirculating), can the sk400 do that?
Sure can mate, sorry, this was an oversight on the review - I should have mentioned more about the air inlet. It does have a couple of connectors that you can hook up co2 scrubbers or ozone :)
@@ParkersReef I may just be me I did seem to be the right way but i looked again and its not I don't know why they do that I really only noticed when you said it
@@ParkersReef he needs to check the venturi's will be clogged in a few weeks(mine took under three weeks). The sad part is they could of put out a retro fix and apparently refuse to so far. Bought four of their LED overhead lights for my 180 reef and they self destructed in under two years old. The wire was too small inside and all was crimped so terrible was insane. 1200.00 lost there.
thanks for another great review, looks like lots of features for a budget friendly skimmer
Thanks mate!
really like the look and concept of this skimmer! might be worth looking at for my new build
Could suit very well i reckon
@@ParkersReef reckon theres any way to hook up a co2 scrubber to that air intake design they have?
Sure is, has a couple little Bits to hook onto
was realy waiting for that one good work man
thank you!
Great video mate, looks like u have a good skimmer there mate, thanks for sharing mate
Thanks for watching :)
This is must Skimmer in all new aquarium. Hope reef Nerd have one in his new build
It’s decent!
The adjustment dial works that way because you live Down Under mate. 😂
👍🏴
Haha yep, you got me 😂😅
Is it silent? Looking for a silent skimmer to replace my Nyos 220 which has a anoying hum to it which drives me crazy.
Silent no, quiet yes
@@ParkersReef Well silent if you leave it off right haha. I ordered the SK400, will be here this week, I got high hopes.
I still using a red starfish 900 gallon looking for a smaller one what the price on a replacement pump on the jump
no idea sorry mate, never had to buy a pump alone
Looks expensive
Great review, thanks!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Are you still happy with this skimmer?
Yeah it runs well
It looks like they have resolved your little gripe about the adjustment knob +/-. It now behaves as you'd expect.
Also saw they’ve made the adjuster more heavy duty too. Should be quite a good skimmer now

I’ve been searching for info on this skimmer relating to it being Ozone safe. I can’t find a thing saying its cast acrylic
yeah I couldn't say for sure I am sorry
@@ParkersReef all good thank you but now I’m actually looking in to an ozone reactor from Avast, looks safer and more efficient
Avast make some great gear
Merci pour cette vidéo PARKER et je le trouve plutôt pas mal cette ecumeur mais je préfère quand même NYOS !!!👍👍👍
bien sûr! Chacun à son propre. Le Nyos est un joli équipement
Second lol good review keep up the good work happy reefing
Cheers mate!
It is easy to take the collection cup off the body, or is there a fair bit of resistance?
Fair bit of resistance is say
Hi great video! Is this skimmer quieter than a deltec 600i, or how quiet is it overall?
I've never personally ran a deltic 600i so I couldn't comment. I can say that the skimmer is indeed very quiet though, despite being a dual intake pump!
I'm debating both the gw 12 and the sk400 jump for my new mixed reef 140 build which did you like better and which would you recommend?
both great, you can't go wrong with either. Go with whatever your local fish shop carries and recommends
@@ParkersReef Where I live neither Skimmer is available so it's online shopping for me. I had the AD600 which I could adjust the pumps intake separately (both intake or 1 intake, and 1 recirculating), can the sk400 do that?
Thanks Parker. Can you connect a PH scrubber? Agree about + and - 😉

top review mate, any idea when these will become available?
Out now!
+ is the gate to be open.
- is the gate to be close.
But yes i hate it too to me it seems backwards
Agreed, totally backwards :)
Will the skimmer remember its setting if you unplug it for a while and then plug it back in? Like when there is a power outage.
Sure does
The term budget is used for this new maxspect equipment, but could this mean that other equipment is over priced? Looks like a decent skimmer.
Yeah possibly!
Where can I buy maxspect jump gyre?
In australia? Or another country?
Melbourne
Check out nature aquariums :)
I went there today actually but I don't think they have Jump line yet for maxspect
Bummer. Reef secrets do and will post
it's just you get over the plus and minus!
Done!
Can you adjust air intake at this skimmer?
I don’t believe you can
@@ParkersReef its very sad
True. You could add taps to the air lines?
@@ParkersReef maybe can add something like valve, im not sure how to spell in english. bubble magus curve a8 have this valve at the air line
Don’t have lot of experience with skimmers but for the price range seems like a ripper
Yeah it’s not bad at all
Struggling to get mine adjusted any help be much appreciated
What are you having trouble with?
@@ParkersReef no matter what setting I have the pump on can’t seem to get it to dry skim been messing around with it for hours
@@toddcoxall6024 you might need to raise the skimmer up in the water column? Assuming you have the gate wide open?
@@ParkersReef yeah gate wide open water level is around 22cm and pumps on 80%
the GW+7 seems to be the right way round for the adjustment on the water level
Na it’s not 😅
@@ParkersReef I may just be me I did seem to be the right way but i looked again and its not I don't know why they do that I really only noticed when you said it
I got the SK400 for $299 USD. You left out the connections for a CO2 scrubber. You cannot touch this skimmer at the price I got it for. =)
For sure, great value!
I would recommend sticking to their Aeraqua Duo skimmer.
What difference is it ? Looks much the same?
@@ParkersReef If you want to right angle clogging venturi's? This is why this is out now.
So much for the rest of us that bought the defective right angle clogging skimmer? 649.00 and no retrofit. Will never buy anything from them again.
Which one is that mate?
@@ParkersReef The Aeraqua Duo 600 , have a video of it...
No good? I haven’t tried one personally but a mate has one and loves it?
