i recon he tried to stand up and go out back to see if he was seeing things or if you were on his ship, but Y defaulted to "Exit to zero g" mode and left him with a nice long fall to think about what he had done
The audacity of this man to say "are they still in MY ship" after he literally stole THEIR ship lol
Stealing is just owning something with extra steps.
Getting a ship was by far the best part. I died laughing as the guy yeeted himself from the avenger to try and rocket you off planet.

I'm looking forward to die laughing when the NPC security fighters quantum jam the thieves and ask them to stop the ship immediately, in the future.
This situation will be ofc best enjoyed at the live stream setting, with the webcam nicely zoomed at the condom's face. 😂

Dude probably accidentally hit the exit from the cockpit. Probably was kicking himself all the way back through the clouds then backspace himself before abstracting himself all over some platform.
Happend a few times to me as well. Normally you "should" exit your seat into the ship, but on this patch you'll randomly exit via the ladder...
That dude jumping out was hilarious. You got more gear than I could trying to buy from a terminal. Well done, can't wait to see how far you get!
Haha I'm still confused as to why he jumped 😄 and this is the way right now in 3.18 I literally couldn't use shop or see my Ship anyway :p
@@H.O.D.S my guess is that by jumping with the ship flying, and no chance to get to the cabin because of the cargo (proved wrong), he expected you to have no other chance than die or stay there until the end of the fuel/time.
@@mrchevyblue There is so many who accidentaly exit their ships by missclicking in the cockpits.
@@H.O.D.S Did that accidentally about a dozen times when I first started and didn't know the keybinds for doing stuff in the cockpit - was just way to easy to select "Exit" with the mouse while trying to use the LH MFD... probably the easiest, but most lame expaination :-P
The dude didn't jump out on purpose. There's a open bug with the Avenger Titan when you try to exit your seat it triggers the exit the ship function, even if you're in QT. It's actually happening more often than not but for some reason, you didn't get the bug.

What probably happened was, he knew you were back there, so he sent his ship on a course out of the armistice zone, and he was going to try to shoot you as soon as the ship left the armistice zone, but the bug made him exit out of the wrong door.
Imagine if CIG made a "zero to hero" mode. In it you create a new character and you're locked out of the ships you bought and you start on a planet outpost that has vehicle rentals and shops that sell essentials and you have to do missions and favors for NPCs to gain enough money to buy a star ship!
That's such an ideal way to play this for me, tbh.
Could be a good way to get free to play players, or like $20 game package
That would be an amazing idea for a F2P option.
For me what was funnier is not the fact that the guy jumped off the ship but how the animation looked. He opened the cabin, unpacked the ladder in the air, climbed down the ladder through the ship texture 1 meter below the ladder texture, jumped on an imaginary floor and only then yeeted off.
I guess people playing this game got used to such stuff but for me it looked hilarious.
one tip, you can unlock the ship so you can always open it or interact with doors, even if you arent the owner (hence unlocking it).
another tip is you can shoot/punch doors as they have a hp bar and will open when they hit 0 hp.
this is what makes (will make) star citizen great!

Looking forwards to you continuing this, it will make for a compelling series. That was great work getting the initial armour and first ship - even more mind blowing was you managing to get back in manually!
The avenger pilot probably pressed Y to exit pilot seat so he could confront you out of armistice zone, not realising it would chuck him out of the ship rather than let him enter the back of the ship. x)
incredible concept very fun, love to see that, maybe one day a legal version of the Zero to hero gonna be fun

@@H.O.D.S you nust load your control profile and remap what needs it. I have it mapped to X cause thats what i set it to a year ago
You could've been done it, it's In the keybinds...I set mine to f3 way back before 3.17
The issue is ij 3.q8 loadong the profile isnt working right mosly. Alot of things wont map frpm it properly and broken. So you havw to manually go through and eemap alot of them
This is why the Titan remains one of my favorite mission ships. 2 ways for easy in and out, big enough ramped cargo compartment to pull in lots of loot, aerodynamic, nimble and can park it almost anywhere.

it's kinda depressing that the AI isn't good enough to hide from spaceships attacking them in the spaceship game.
Lil tip: You can double click items and armor in the inventory screens to equip them. Don't have to drag. :)

Dude!!!! Duuuuuuuuude!!!! Such an amazing adventure! I have hopped on my friends alt account to be his turret gunner, medic, and to help him unload/steal stuff. I didnt like how the game was buggy, but I considered buying a starter package.
So, a couple of points...
1. The titan you stole was so much better than I imagined. I was thinking I might need the drake cutlass as my starter ship, but the Titan seemed like a sturdy and fun option able to take out bigger ships under the right circumstances.
2. I think the games bugs can actually be in your favor if you are a lawless type. When you blew apart the titan at the end it was hilarious.
3. Quick question... can you use a salvage ship like the vulture in atmosphere? Seems like there are wrecked ships laying everywhere that could net a lot of loot.

if you ever steal a vic, you can unlock the doors... there is a keybind for it as well... then you dont have to worry about being locked out.

This is just early live 3.18, you cannot spawn your ship, you cannot buy stuff half the time and so this video IS the early live 3.18 experience.

The Avenger pilot bailing out was really strange, especially since pressing Y defaults to exiting the pilot’s seat to the back of the cockpit. He would’ve had to hold F, looked to the side of the cockpit canopy, and clicked Exit Ship to do that. Doing that by accident doesn’t seem plausible. Perhaps he (wrongly) assumed it was impossible for you to get past the cargo boxes in the back and reach the cockpit, so he was trying to trap you in ship bound for deep space.
You didn’t Unlock the ship; that’s why you were having such a hard time getting back in. If you press F and mouse over the cockpit controls, you’ll eventually find it next to the Open/Close Doors button.
Wielding a Grenade Launcher in-doors is a BAD IDEA, especially if you were worried about other players lurking around a non-AZ outpost. If I had been lucky enough to loot a GL that early, I’d deposit it in my Local inventory ASAP. You can safely leave anything at an Outpost’s Local inventory and return for it later - at least until the next inventory reset. (I often deposit outpost loot to Local then forget to transfer it to my ship’s inventory and find that loot days or weeks later.)
It’s smart to loot outposts to start - I always recommend this to new players - but my next step would be to clear a criminal bunker and loot it. You’ll gain plenty of weapons, ammo, armour sets, undersuits, meds, and utilities, and selling the loot you don’t want or need is a better early source of income than Box Delivery missions. Your (stolen) ship is your most prized possession and any ship combat endangers it, so you should avoid it as much as possible until you have a solid foundation of creds.
Also, if you have no CS, you can safely land at SPK and loot there. Often times you’ll find dead NPCs killed by other players, dead players, and their SHIPS. It’s all yours for the taking!
If that guys plan was to just rocket you into a endless journey in space because he thought you were stuck, then that’s some sadistic evil genius level punishment 😂 I’ve never played so I don’t know how respawning works. I guess you had the grenade launcher if it came to it

yeah i feel like when ive done this it rarely works but maybe im thinking of ships with elevators. will defiantly try that next time haha

The best place to do zero to hero is now microtech. Lots of opportunities to steal or even borrow people’s ships if they are friendly enough.
Yeah probably for the more paw abiding :p I think orrison with the new platforms makes it easy to get gear and guns though

@@H.O.D.S every ship has this option...you must bind under Vehicle - Cockpit "lock/unlock Doors (toogle)" in Keybindings
that happens sometimes with that ship- hitting Y with the intention of going aft- sometimes it throws you out like that

I think you should always have option of playing sandbox style games like this. I tried it in Elite but the price of ships is so ridiculous they might as well be giving them away in cereal packets.

Yeah I usually have it bound to inner thought but hadn't set it up after wipe. Anways other players can't use another players garage for opening anyway.
@H.O.D.S oh nah I meant a keybind. Though now that I think about it, this is on the 3.18.0 build (18.1) which now has a default bind of alt+n
You can use alt-n to request launch or docking.
How did you manage to get an account with game access but no ships? I'd love to do a no-ship run but AFAIK the only way to get game access without a ship package is to spend $1000 on paint to get packageless concierge access?
So you can download for free the game, play it without buying the startene ship pack and still able to play it? This can be turned to a f2p games if u finde people that gift to you a ship
I think after the free fly it will lock you out though but if someone gifted you a starter pack then yeah
