Difference being is that Larry Bird could call his shot! Jordan didn't do that ...he did the trash talking to intimidate!

"Birds Nest" was a figure of speech. It was a segment of that particular show called "The Birds Nest" that talked about his brother. Nest is term used for "home", for example, "leaving the nest" means one is leaving home or parent's house to go out on his own to be and adult, just a play on words.

Larry actually had 4 brothers and 1 sister.. so 5 siblings.. Magic had 9 siblings.. both grew up poor in the Midwest.. similar backgrounds. I truly think that's why they became great friends.

Hey, Flamo! Great reaction, kid! Love your channel... Well... For all the Coaches in the League, Bird was a kind of "fireproof" to check theirs rookies... If they survived to the endless heavy chirp of the Bird, maybe they was enough tough to play the pro game... 😅

"I feel like 43 tonight." Really think about that for a minute. Larry Bird knows the game so well he can analyze both teams before the tip off, set a personal goal, achieve it in the 3rd quarter, and check himself out of the game because the outcome was never in doubt. That's a scary opponent to play I don't care who you are.

Interesting Fact, Kevin McHale had an 8'0" wingspan. It was like having two guys in the middle who were both 7'1", Kevin along with Chief. And LJB at nearly 6'10". The Celts were absolutely massive in the paint.

you can get a glimpse into the greatest play-off series in nba history by watching "birds greatest underdog story ever told". the '81 east coast play-offs between the Bird Celtics and Dr J philly 76ers. 5 of the 7 games were decided by 2 points or less, game 6 had the entire celtics bench in the stands throwing hands with the philly fans, game 7 had nearly every single play ended with 2 or 3 bodies on the floor, even the refs just stood back like hell no were not getting in the middle of this, you guys figure this out

I was talking with friends today, and i realized ive been watching basketball videos for 3 years now. They asked me what would be the deadliest starting roster ever, here was my answer :
Its not just about whos the greatest ever at their role. You have to create a cohesive unit where everyone has a clear role, and 1 thing theyre unstoppable at. And so ive got
    C - Shaquille O'Neal
    PF - Tim Duncan
    SF - Larry Bird
    SG - Dwayne Wade
    PG - John Stockton
The only reason i didnt pick MJ or Kobe as SG is because then you'd have too many guys who want the ball, mj and kobe would never accept giving the ball to someone else and would rather try a dumb 35ft duzzer beater than throw a bullet pass to their teammate who's free 10ft from the net. Sure it would still go in from time to time and it'd be spectacular, but they wouldnt throw the pass that bird or D.wade would in the same scenario

Me again, Carolina from Argentina, man! Maybe you will enjoy this... "Larry Bird smashed his face then the Pacers"... Great vid... Bird, trying to catch a ball, fell and hit violently his head on the floor. He have a concusion, a broken cheekbone and double vision, but seeing that the Celtics are struggling without he in the game, came back to play. The Pacers tryied hard to make him as hard as posdible, but these was Larry Bird on the court, man... This vid shows what are some men made of, and why some of them won the nickname of Legend.. here is the link, bro, cheers!

Larry and Magic brought the NBA back.. not trying to be racist.. but they did .. White Larry and Black Magic.. with their incredible skills that made ppl want to watch back in the day. From everything I've watched about both players.. first of all .. impressed, but their rivalry truly brought white fans back into the game.. We are in a different era now.. probably wouldn't matter today.. but in the early 80's it mattered. White ppl started watching basketball again. Not that Larry cared.. he played with brothers his whole life.. it wasn't racist to him.. he just played his game.. but the country was in a different state of mind at the time.. I'm just glad it all happened and that the NBA is still here
