Geto has officially gone to the dark side
indeed
Ye
fuckin monkeys
Geto just realized we live in a society
Geto the curse summoner: emerge blacker then black
Lupa: where tf am I
The person Geto claps on stage was the old leader of the cult that Toji gave Riko's dead body to for the reward. Geto called for him specifically. That kill was as personal as it gets.
Man that was satisfying as hell tho
You know what...im with Geto on this one...fuck that old piece of shit.
yeah my only complaint about that scene is that i wish they’d made it a bit clearer it was him. still such a good scene nonetheless
@@singulariteas I really like the editing choice there, it was as close to the manga as it could get. I might even say better

For anyone wondering,
The KFC on the street they were on is canon to the manga too and this moment has been long referred to by the fandom as the "KFC Breakup".
And KFC responded to a tweet about the episode.

Im not sure if Lupa knows based on the comment on the end but Gojos shades were actually pure black, other people cant see out of them. He wears the shades/blindfold because his six eyes process so much information it can get tiring so by blinding himself he actually just sees like a normal person.
thank you, i was going to say the same thing
Damn , didn't know that
@@Takashii85 You can see shoko trying to look through them in the basketball court scene in episode 1
that's really cool.
Man literally has to blind himself to see normally. So, the lack of sight dumbs down his six eyes to processing the necessities and not all the extra stuff. Dope af
its a spoiler i think thats why
It's sad, really. A lot of people were watching these five episodes, waiting for the eventual turn and snapping of Geto through some event. But it wasn't just one event. It was a combination of different things. What happened to Riko, the trauma Toji inflicted on him, his conversation with Yuki about non-sorcerers and what their existence means to the world, the premature death of Haibara due to the inaccuracies of their mission(and how teens are losing their lives without even knowing why thanks to the higher ups), Gojo being able to take care of all of the problems and what he offered to Geto about getting rid of all of the people even if they were innocent, and the straw that broke the camels back was seeing how two innocent girls were being treated all because of who they were. We saw the story of how Geto went from a sweet boy to the Geto we saw in JJK 0. Hater of all monkeys. It truly is a tragedy. So many bad things continued to stack up and no one saw how far Geto had sunk until it was too late.

For Lupa’s comment. There’s a reason Gojo transitioned from glasses to fully covering his eyes. It’s because of the strain of his technique the six eyes. It makes him see cursed energies on a molecular level and puts a strain on his eyes. The glasses was because he wasn’t using it for long periods but now he keeps it on automatically so seeing constantly strains his brain. He can see perfectly through sensing cursed energy with his eyes covered and it puts less strain on him. So he only removes it when he has to get serious
The Six Eyes are always active. The neutral Limitless (Infinity) is now always active, but the Six Eyes have always been active. The Limitless doesn't make him see techniques on a molecular level, the Six Eyes do.
@@maurice9766 I don't think they're always active, even the manga u can see it being drawn different from young gojo to prime gojo
@@samwilson4597 The 6 Eyes are always active. Why he covers them now is because 6 Eyes and Limitless are constantly activated that he limits the info to reduce stress on the brain.
So he got daredevil's powers

Geto is the perfect example of "Either you die a hero or live long enough to become the villain".
Megumi is going through the same. He will be in the bad side.
@@rebellefleur2993Megumi didn’t have problems with humans, his problems were with curses. He will never end up the same as Geto, however if his sisters situation is really how people think it is in the current manga, he will probably pull a scene similar to Yuji with sukuna when he pulled out his heart.

I like how the hallway "side" of him that hates non-sorcerers was a closer exit than the other hallway rejecting that. Idk if it was intentional but it showed which path was easier for him to choose.
bro took the easy way out
It also signified that in choosing that path, he'd be exiting Jujutsu High for good
@@lexhasgoats5106 i also see it as the path ultimately leads to death (exiting life), while the other is a dark uncertain path
I also noticed that we saw the scene of Gojo talking to Megumi through that giant hole in the wall. Reminded me of the camera zoom out through Toji's hole on half his body after Gojo fucked him up.
Although theres one shot that looks wonky as fuck that Roshi and Sheera pointed out, this is easily the best directed episode from this season so far. Not the best animated obviously tho.
Sheera was right about Purple Hollow in the previous reaction
it uses Blue's attraction and Red's repulsion at the same time, breaking all molecules in its path, therefore erasing all the matter it touches.
This is the most common misconception about Purple and people still believes that it erases matter. No it doesn't. Hollow Purple is just an imaginary mass that rushes forth, that's it. Even the fanbook states it.

It wasn't really bad advice. That would imply that she suggested him to do one thing or the other. She just cleared his head and let him do what he thought was right. He was always gonna be who he is now. Plus his way isn't necessarily incorrect, just rough to put it lightly

geto and gojo wouldve been the best parents if they didnt break up

Gojo wasn’t laughing. He was smiling at Megumi. Before waking his last memory was of him.
In the manga when Megumi ask Gojo what he was smiling at he said nothing and they had a heart next to the text. It’s showing that Gojo loves Megumi.

I haven't read the manga, but his potential is coming through loud and clear. If they actually manage to seal Gojo, I'd love to see Megumi step up and be a huge problem. Teach Geto, this isn't about him and Gojo. it's not that Geto isn't strong enough to kill all non-socerers. He can't do it because we say so mf.
Megumi ain't nowhere near Gojo yet, lmao.
Sukuna using 10 shadows is far different than Megumi using it
Still not enough
Gojo telling Geto that killing all non sorcerers is impossible only for geto to counter with "but you could do it can't you" hits so hard in the anime. Like it's been a while since I read the chapter but my God was it a hard line. As unrealistic as gojo made it sound, he was arrogant to the fact that he himself could just... do that very thing. Gojo at this point knew he was strong but, like he asks yaga, it never really set in just how power the guy had gotten at this point in comparison to geto until geto himself pointed it out for him. As the distance in power grew, so did their friendship. It's pretty sad all things considered.
I would say not noticing he could destroy the world is opposite to the definition of arrogance.
@@landmerry_6742 Oh yeah... ignorant probably would've been better. I only used arrogant cause geto used it but I guess geto said that as to mean gojo was basically saying something gojo could do would be impossible for geto

The Nanami and Getou scene was an inorganic scene bc Nanami was originally written to be a villain. Gege said Nanami doesn’t blame Getou for doing what he did, so they would’ve been both their breaking point
What a good written villain ngl
Are you who you are by what you're capable of or you're capable of by who you are?
Gojo got stuck on that.
Few things that are implied
1) after Hiabara death Nanami finished the year all alone, maybe the entire third year as well but not confirmed
2) mimiko and Nanako were blamed for he curse after geto head already taken it out
3) what happened to Tsumki's mother has been left unknown, it's likely she ditched them for money, but toji left cause he couldn't raise his kid
4) Megumi being sold was called of by Gojo, under the condition that he will become a jujutsu sorcerer
5) if Megumi and Tsumiki were sold to the zenin clan, Megumi probably would be treated like god and possibly spoiler rotten, however Tsumiki would probably be treated like a servant, like Mai and Maki
Correction. They'd probably leave her all alone. She's not zen'in so they have no reason to take her in
not only Mimiko and Nanako were blamed for the curse that Geto killed. their fear of the girls' powers (as well as their parents) was what gave birth to that curse in the first place

It feels like Gojo was crying as he remembers his past with Geto then he wakes up to see the First year trio and he smiled probably thinking that he and his friends used to fool around like that too. Seeing Kugisaki, Yuji and Megumi like that would probably give him flashbacks of his past. Yet, when we saw it in JJK 0 and at the beginning of season 2, it looked much cooler and serious (because it was from an omniscient perspective)

this portrayal of the last talk is more accurate to the manga than the one in the movie though. i can imagine that the movie showed how it got even darker and more painful in the memories after some time. the angles, cinematographic shots/sound effects of Geto's mental break, and facial expressions were so good (Geto's exhausted depressed looks and Gojo's frustration and helplessness)

Also, another thing with the kids, remember sorcerers CANT cause curses to be born. So those children were never related to it to cause them to be imprisoned and beaten. So geto, further seeing the ugliness of what non-sorcerers do to his people, his comrades, was his breaking point
@@newboywonder But they can use curses to cause harm and if killed without cursed energy, turns into curses themselves.
It’s a slippery slope. The people are wrong for wanting to kill the kids but taking precautions against jujutsu sorcerers is needed.
just so yall know the guy sonoda that geto killed from the star religious group is the guy that set up amanai's assasination, the dude we saw took her body after toji brought it to them
For an only 5 episode arc, MAPPA put in WORK for JJK

@@francescomastroianni963 the artstyle is crap though. No amount of ignorance will change that
The music before the end was just perfection. Him waking up with it was so nice
This didnt feel right. 😧 Lupa shouldve hit Roshi.

Fun facts:
1. (From Vol. 9 Extras) Toji doesn't have much money, so he wanders from woman to woman. But he’ll earn a ton of money from one job and spend it until it's gone. He became unstable while with the Zen’in household but calmed down thanks to Megumi-mama. However, she died soon after Megumi was born, so Toji ended up like this. RIP goat o7
2. During the author’s long break, Gojo was featured on the cover of Jump Giga 2021. JJK editors invited scientists from the Riken Scientific Research Institute and the Institute of Statistical Mathematics to discuss and break down the math and science used in JJK.
12:57 gojo is blindfolded bc he relies less on his actual eyes and more on his six eyes which can see curse energy. So using his regular eyes in addition to his six eyes is just too much. It’s like wearing a night vision goggles in daylight. So it just shows he’s always on guard basically. Toji really changed this man
I thought it was more to suppress his six eyes, because of how straining it can be to use over long periods. Which is why him taking off the blindfold signifies that someone is about to get rekt.
We've now seen 4 out of the 5 Special grade sorcerors in Gojo,Geto,Yuki and Yuta, cant wait til the 5th one is introduced next season, hes my fav character in the whole series
There’s only four if I recall, unless your talking about Kenny

INCREDIBLE antagonist development, the first time in a long time I REALLY get the villain. And the way this episode was directed was so crazy. That shot of bro in the shower with the clapping sounds (pause) was just enough to make me uncomfortable
I like how Geto didn't just 'snap'. A lot of villain origins have traumatic situations that make them eventually snap into a frame of mind that makes no sense, and the trauma is used as the excuse for the jump in logic (which isn't necessarily bad writing and can happen fr). With Geto, he definitely snapped in a sense, but it was gradual and you can follow the change in mindset and the reasoning behind it. When he came to a conclusion I fully felt it, and Gojo almost seemed to have the same kinda frustration I usually have with villain writing with how it seemed like such and abrupt change to him. I like when villains aren't morally absent for the sake of it, even tho they can also be dope like Toji, Geto is driven by a warped sense of right and it gives him the same kinda conviction of a main character
Lupa building up energy for that Domain Expansion Hands Intro when this JJK break is over. Roshi is going to get clapped into a childhood flashback
Just remember that the flick is the hand sign for Hollow Purple. Gojo was really about to fire his most destructive attack on a crowded street.
Would’ve proved Geto right.
@@Anon-qp3kthow?
@@calvintyler9281 that Gojo could easily sweep humanity in the span of a week
I just noticed that when Gojo was talking to Megumi about his dad at 11:32, the camera angle was through a big hole in the fence. Wonder if they were purposefully alluding to the hole Gojo made in Toji.
If... He didn't get the Idea from Yuki and Haibara still alive he might have gone a different path. Of course the last year mission made him miserable but still if Gojo can recover He can too... It just.... Bad luck drove him mad...
I think Yuki understood the dangerous state of mind Geto was in because she approached the option he proposed from a logical standpoint and said that while what he said would likely be the quickest way of achieving that goal, subtly warned him that going through with it is something only an insane person would do. She also said that the conflicting feelings that were generated from his current hatred and altruistic beliefs weren't his true feelings and that he should decide for himself what should matter more, which, I believe helped him try to calm himself down. It wasn't her fault that he went on a mission that forced him to make that choice after witnessing the death of a good person and abuse the girls suffered by the very people who requested their help.
@@9Godslayer yes it wasn't her fault, it just gave him the idea that's all... But what I think has more impact besides Riko's death is Haibara's death. Like adding more salt to the wound.
@@unknownbenefactor8029i don’t think she gave him the idea. that was clearly already in his mind for a long time. he asked her about it, not the other way around
@@Lari_A hmm yeah... Maybe not an idea he got from that conversation. It was more of a confirmation than an idea but even so I think he can be turned if someone gives him a closure. I don't know, I just think he can turn back that all.
After killing 112 people and his parents, there’s no turning back
in the last episode he heard the strongest person he knows in the world(Gojo), ready to merk non sorcerers over Gojos own beliefs, Now, he is no gojo, but he is willing to do as much as he is capable of to turn his desire into his reality basically, even with not being the strongest, even with a 99% possible death whilst trying to achieve his desire/dream. He has given himself over completely to his desire, both consciously and subconsciously. He's given his whole life over to it, wherever it leads him, it is what it is, is basically what he saying, but y'all probably already understand.
Remember last season, Gojou said that Megumi has the potential to catch up with him: apparently a sorcerer with the same techniques as Gojou was evenly matched with a sorcerer with Megumi's techniques in the past. So him telling Megumi to "keep up with him" isn't as impossible a task as it sounds. It also sounds like heavy foreshadowing if they keep bringing it up like this
Not evenly matched. Just that both killed each other off
Tbh it is implied that the 10s user used mahoraga to end the fight despite not having tamed it , which technically means he proved to be no match for the limitless user by himself so in the end he was forced to rely on a suicide move in the hope to atleast push the fight to a draw somehow even if it means they both die since it was obviously his last resort
So in short , yeah limitless users are f-cking broken and gojo is clearly leagues above that old limitless user since he easily lost to mahoraga while gojo could literally one shot mahoraga if it was on it's own in a 1v1
@@kcknowshowtoplay4302 are you currently reading manga.mahoraga can adapt to infinity technique.
@@sakthivel-ip3mb and it takes f-cking long to adapt to it compared to the other techniques cuz gojo's limitless is a complicated technique, it takes more than 4 turns to actually adapt to the infinity (probably just for the neutral barrier) and it took 2 turns for just UV , then he has purple , red , blue , teleportation and who knows maybe some other techniques aswell
That much time is way more than enough for someone like gojo to clap mahoraga with one strong hit like purple or red and that's exactly what gojo was about to do in the fight and that's EXACTLY WHY sukuna doesn't have mahoraga constantly out in the fight and is keeping the wheel on his own head while keeping mahoraga hidden in shadows instead to get the wheel adapted to all of gojo's techniques first and then return it to mahoraga and call him out cuz he knows otherwise gojo would just straight up blow him into oblivion in one or two hits before he even adapts to any of his techniques
That's exactly what he himself did in shibuya too and sukuna only had like 15 fingers at that time at that
Bruh “had to do it to em” @ 3:09 almost missed it 😂
I literally cry everytime I see how their amazing and beautiful friendship was destroyed by Riko's fate😭
tsukumo didn't say or give the idea to geto, she just made him have the reasoning to kill all non-users. but she did something much, much worse than that
she gave meaning
before killing non-sorcerers, like those bastards who contracted toji, it would be something unimportant, it would only be meaningless deaths coming from rage.
but now? the geto has a meaning and a meaning to kill.
a person with sense is just as dangerous as someone without sense
Remember when Yuji joined Jujutsu High and they said he couldn't become a sorcerer if his reason was just to help other people or for someone else. Well now we know why.
Nooooooooooo 😭 I love looking at comments to see if there's more facts others can supply, but sometimes y'all just make me sad
Oh shït, I never pieced that together...!
the guy who is crushed by the geto's curse was the sect leader (the old man who talks to toji and his mediator)
The thing that happened with the little kids is that.even though geto cleaned up the curses, the fear of people is creating more curses and they are just blaming the 2 little girls. So geto got pissed and killed them all.
3:05 got me crying
3:08 this shit got me so dead bro 💀
bro that transition was so damn cool to Yuji and the others with Gojo waking up
I love how Geto looks way better and way healthier after killing a whole village 😭
fr lmaooo
the way she just casually asked, "did you do it?" and then called gojo like they were just some palls catching up though lol
So excited for the Shibuya Arc at the end of the month!
it wasnt weird, it was an artistic choice. This episode kinda reminds me of how trigger animates (some shots)
Are you sure? I was hoping the same too but yuki’s face and geto’s face in the bathroom ruin it for me. It feels so off. Their mouth movement not even match their voice anymore. Art off from the background. To me, this is running out of budget more than artistic choice.

Geto's is the deffinition of “You Either Die A Hero, Or You Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villain”
Geto is really not bad at all if you think about it,curses is becoming stronger and more of his comrades are dying so he snapped, riko's death is the first reason why he snap.
Not her death. It’s the reaction of the Star Religious Group and the Jujutsu Society as a whole.
Riko’s death was meaningless simply because Tengen was stable and she(Tengen) had a replacement already (and that replacement bailed on the responsibility)
@@Anon-qp3kt i think her death and the star religious group,is connected why he becomes evil

After seeing the reaction of the reactors to this season's Jutsu Kaisen, I was reminded that Jutsu Kaisen is a difficult anime for foreigners to understand.
I also checked the English subtitles, but there were a few things that I wondered, "Is this how it's supposed to be understood?" I was a little concerned about the English subtitles.
It is difficult to understand everything in the anime.
But that doesn't mean I can't be spoiled in the comments section.
I am sure that Jujutsu Kaisen will continue to be a difficult anime for reactors.
Few people understand words like bind, open curse technique (revealing information), reverse cursed technique, domain.
Not just foreigners, it’s a difficult anime for everyone. Just wait until Hakari’s Domain Expansion hit the anime, sh*t is wild.
@@Anon-qp3ktI think his domain development is also easier to understand if you know Japanese.
The word "shibari" is easier to understand than the word "binding.

Geto Suguru is my favorite character, he is very complex in all his tragedy.
Something I haven't seem people mention is that the clothes Suguru wears in the end and currently? They're called Gojo-Keza, Gege only chose it because it had the word Gojo in it.
