@@p0rfavxrNah looking it up Geto couldn’t take the curse because it was bound by a master-servant relationship. Just like with Rika and Yuta, that’s why Geto was trying to kill Yuta first.
@@christofferj.c.s.5476 Bro the anime is even more clear about that, there's an explosion of sparks and a zoom in the hand of Geto with no intervention from Toji whatsoever and the pose they are in it's the same in the manga
If you look at Gojo’s actions towards Yuta, Megumi and Yuji, you see how he continuously works to gives these kids the option to take charge of their own life. Saving Yuta and Yuji from execution, keeping Megumi from being sold to Zenin, Gojo is doing what he failed to do for Riko, the girl that wanted to live.
Which is ironic as Gojo said he didn't want to baby sit anymore brats after bringing Riko back to the school. So a set up for his later development as a mentor for students.
Tbh, I don't think it's only about Riko. I think he also talks for himself, for Suguru, for Haibara, for Nanami, for Shoko, for all of them. Children shouldn't go through what they did. Especially, as unprepared as most of them are, he wants to raise strong people so they can lean on each other, something Suguru couldn't do because when Satoru was off doing missions still a little drunk on hubris, Suguru couldn't lean on anyone else, because the rest were leaning on him, as the 2nd most powerful sorcerer. It's really sad tbh.
When Toji said, “Something’s off” it was fear. In the manga, it was translated as, “This uneasiness”. Gojo made him feel fear. He knew he was gonna lose at that point but his pride wouldn’t let him leave. Toji def cared about Megumi seeing that he indirectly told Gojo to help him before he’s sold to the Zenin clan.
@@enjoys.trollingshittyreactors I didn’t say anything about his pride not stopping him from selling his son💀💀 His pride to prove himself to the Zenin clan/jujutsu world that even without cursed energy, he can still be strong. Zenin clan despises non sorcerers so they hated him too. Reason he wanted to sell Megumi is that he knew he couldn’t take care of him knowing he doesn’t have cursed energy but Megumi does so he thought it would be better to give him to them. Mom died after his birth too. In the end, he screwed up because of his pride. He could’ve just ran but again, wanted to prove a point that non sorcerers can be strong too.
@@enjoys.trollingshittyreactors I believe his pride is in the fact that he made something of himself without cursed energy and the zen'in clan. He said so himself that he wanted to kill the pinnacle of the sorcerer world (gojo) because it'd be like a slap in the face to the Clan that rejected him. If anything it'd be like he had a change of heart trying to give his son to someone who he now confirmed himself was the best, because Gojo had been able to defeat him.
15:55 the reason that they were clapping is because of Riko's death, they were celebrating Riko's death and the reason why Geto didn't kill them there is because he's still a Jujutsu Sorcerer and it's against the rules of the jujutsu world to hurt or kill non-sorcerers
Not just that, but they mistook Gojo and Geto for being responsible for Riko's assassination, as in they thought they were the ones who had killed her and thus they celebrated it.
not explained in the anime but tojis chain is also a cursed tool, called the chain of a thousand miles. The chain is able to extend infinitely as long as one end of the chain is not visible. So Toji keeps one end of the chain inside his worm keeping it invisible allowing it to extend as far as he wants.
I read the manga and dont even remember that lol, I wish they went into depth a bit more about his cursed tools. Its literally called "hidden inventory" and we only learn about 1 piece of equipment in the show.
Fun fact: Megumi's name means "blessing." So if Toji did name his son "Blessing" then I can only presume he was a loving and passionate dad. . . Until the mom died 😅
Yeah, parenting standards should be a bit higher than giving the kid a cute name. He most likely named him Blessing, because Toji's existence was seen as a curse
@@7daimeHokageI believe in the data books it's said that, toji was kinda batshit crazy due to what the zennin clan did to him. They literally threw him into the pit filled with cursed spirits for fun back when he was a kid, the same place mai died. Apparently his wife was the only one who managed to ground him to reality. But after she died he lost that linch pin that kept him sane and he discarded his pride just to get back at the jujutsu world that denied him a normal life
@@zaee.. He woulda been pretty different. His words to geto were "do we need a reason" so if geto said yes, he would essentially be telling gojo he doesn't need a reason to kill people which would be a very VERY bad thing to tell gojo at this point in time lol
@@zaee.. At that time, Gojo was holding on to his sanity by a thread. He was using Geto as an anchor, because he believed Geto to be the most morally upstanding man. Had Geto decided to fall into depravity right then and there, Gojo would have followed him, no question about it.
The reason Toji looks sad after Gojo put a hole in him is that he wanted to let go of his pride that people without cursed energy can become the strongest, but when he stood in front of Gojo the "Strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer". He let his pride get to him and wanted to kill him so he can show the Jujutsu World that people with curse energy are inferior to people without cursed energy.
Based analysis! To add, he also wanted to prove to his clan, the ones who caused him a lot of trauma, that they were wrong. Someone like him, a man born without curse energy, can defeat someone blessed with the most powerful technique, Gojo Satoru.
"Any last words" too, from Gojo PLUS: the weapon that Geto uses and loses in the movie, is the same one that Maki and Todo use in season 1 to fight the curse at school. Which was originally Toji's before he died
To put into context how high on his own power Gojo actually is here: "Throughout heaven and earth I alone am the honoured one" is a quote that was (allegedly) first said by the Buddha Śākyamuni. Gojo is basically calling himself enlightened and that he thus stands above everyone else.
That's the cult that didn't want riko merging with tengen, so they're clapping because she's dead. Pretty brutal and a real slap in the face to geto and gojo who go to retrieve her body. Also idk if it's just me, but when geto is explaining why they don't need to kill them it's interesting that he keeps talking wven when gojo walks past him. Almost like he's trying to convince himself to not kill them. That stood out to me after watching a few reactions
Yes you’re spot on. The clapping is them simply praising the girl’s death. Geto, who is the morally positive one between him and Gojo, was basically telling Gojo that life is still precious even if it belonged to those that deserve death. He was still speaking because he had to convince himself as well, but the shadow that emanates shows Geto falling into darkness where life no longer matters and the reasoning for taking it matters less.
@@A_T88 hmm yes, but i don't think he feels the reason for killing loses importance to him, but more like he's wondering who's life deserves that importance.
Everything you said was true except they were applauding and cheering for gojo and geto because they thought those two were the ones responsible for her death, preventing the assimilation. But yeah, I'm surprised Gojo even had to ask if he could waste them all and that the two of them were able to contain themselves in that moment walking among a group of sickly people with absolutely no regard for an innocent young girl's life

honestly can't blame him, a room full of people are so overjoyed at an innocent girl being murdered that they are applauding her corpse... and he's supposed to protect these people no matter what? it's admirable he was even able to hold himself together enough to dissuade Gojo and be his moral compass in that scene
@@easybreezy8436 Geto is trying to rationalize a logical reason to keep to his morals even though his gut is screaming at him to murder all these people. Honestly, hard to say I wouldn't have killed them. They are evil.
It’s crazy how Toji affected these two Gojo inherited his “blessings” ie Megumi (which literally means blessings) and Geto inherited Toji’s “Curse” ie the Cursed Spirit from Volume 0
It was more so that Megumi was his blessing because of his wife. When his wife passed away, Toji stopped caring about everything and he pretty much lost his will to live except for Megumi who he was planning on using to destroy/control the Zen'in clan.
@adicusdeathreaper I don't think he planned to use Megumi to destroy/control the clan but he thought that the clan would take better care of Megumi because he was gifted
To clarify: the reason Geto wasn’t able to take Toji’s curse is because his ability doesn’t allow him to absorb curses that are already linked to someone else. Hence why he was trying to kill Yuta in order to take Rika instead of just absorbing her. This was the instance in which he learned of that limitation.
He's literally explaining in the movie that he was lying about that the whole time. The reason he couldn't just take Rika is that she's too strong to take without weakening her first.
@@hannessteffenhagen61Geto was explaining that he can take any curse he wants as long as he kills the individual it’s bound to. The people that were clapping are apart of the star religious group. They were the ones who wanted Amanai dead because they didn't want such an ''impure'' soul merging with Tengen (As they see Tengen as a god deity). The higher ups of the star religious group were the ones who orchestrated the hit on Riko by paying Toji to kill her, but the casual members of the group (Such as the ones clapping who also can't use cursed energy) don't know that. So they assumed that Gojo and Geto were the ones who killed Amanai, therefore applauding them
That face when you remember that Toji said he has trouble remembering the names of guys. And that Megumi is considered to be a girl's name. Toji remembering him when he thinks about blessings. Peak. If you slam your blade through someone's skull and they don't die from that, they can just take the win. Toji was clean. He put the hands on two of the strongest sorcerers out there and completed his mission. But, Gojo evolved on the brink of death and ascended to being the honored one. Even then, he still kept fighting. Toji remembered his son and died on his feet, leaving everything to Gojo. Goated antagonist. That after credits scene. All those people clapping at seeing Riko's dead body. Crazy how Gojo was just like, "Should we just kill everyone here?" And Geto is opposed to that because there would be no meaning to all that death. Their perspectives are truly and utterly flipped right now. And that makes it all the more tragic where they end up. A world with both Geto and Gojo as enemies to mankind would be a scary sight.
I believe that Gojo did say back in season 1 that the best ones are a bit crazy. When choosing his apprentices, he was probably thinking, "They're just like me fr" 😂

So Megumis name means blessing and that’s why Toji suddenly remembered him while taunting Geto about blessings. The flashback Toji has is also of his dead wife and baby megumi. The religious group at the end were clapping because they wanted Amanai dead and believed Gojo was the one who killed her.
I love the end with Geto coming from the red (positive color for Gojo's cursed energy) over the Blue (Negative side) and Gojo carrying Riko's body swapping sides morally. I think Toji is the real reason why Gojo is so strong in the current timeline. He awakened Gojo's full potential.

As a manga reader Toji easily became my favorite villain in the series, this man with no curse energy just created chaos and destruction with so little time and brought down two of the strongest sorcerers. Completed his mission killing Riko, humbled Gojo and making him the sorcerer he is today. Sent Getto on the path to becoming a villain. He is ruthless but he’s an intelligent fighter as well and unfortunately he let his pride get in the way but still a well written character. Within the most recent chapter, while the author is speaking on the spectators having an image of Gojo losing in their mind he then states "Gojo himself was aware of that prospect." As Gojo then states "When was the last time... Obvious answer", after a panel of him thinking about Toji. A person who sees it as impossible for themselves to be bested, gets bested and then continues to acknowledge that opponent has officially been humbled by definition.
The scene with the person holding megumi is not toji by the way, it was megumi's mom. She died shortly after megumi's birth... In character's description she is told to be "the only person toji devoted himself wholly to", then after she died, toji took on this path... And that's why he thought about her and megumi before dying.

Honestly seeing Getou in JJK0, I kinda see why he ended up that way. Having to swallow Curses everyday that manifest from the worst of the world that taste horrible + witnessing all he did in this arc would be enough to push most people over the edge.
I mean they gave him plenty of justification from the movie alone. They were literally beating on and imprisoning lil kids for being able to see curses and geto came across that. @@nullakjg767 We didnt actually see who, what and why they were doing that to the girls in 0 though. We just got brief glimpses but even then you could tell what was happening by just the looks on their faces
The whole reason why Toji wanted to smoke Gojo's pack is cause even though he acted like he didn't care, and he'd thrown aside his pride, he actually was upset that the Zenin clan rejected him for his lack of cursed energy, and so he wanted to take down the pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcerer's in order to stick it to the Zenin clan in the biggest way possible. All for pride. It's sad that he felt driven to do that for the validation, but also, yeah Toji was not a good person lol.
Honestly the little nod up Gojo does when Toji decides to say his final words are so impact full to me. 12:25 It's like Gojo's sign of respecting the man that made him, him. Like he was going to hold up his head to the guy that humbled him for the first time. And not only that but he also honored Toji's wishes. In the latest chapters of the manga (slight spoiler) We can see that Gojo is wearing Toji's outfit to battle against Sukuna. All this goes to show how much he respects Toji. Toji was the man that started it all and he'll never know.
they were clapping bc the god that they worship was gonna fuse with a human vessel, which is why riko was the star plasma vessel. the believers thought that it would taint their god’s power, so they didn’t want that. they’re basically clapping that riko was dead, which is why gojo asked if he should kill them for pretty much being happy about riko’s death.
Geto summoned that huge cyclops in the movie too 😂 Gojo also asked Geto " Any last words" like he did Toji😅 Gojo also said in the movie "No one should take away a kid's youth" Riko really traumatized them damn
Near death experiences, are enlightening experiences in JJK. We've seen it already 3 times now. 1) Mahito learns Domain Expansion moments from death in his fight against Yuji and Nanami. 2) Megumi also learns Domain Expansion nearly dying fighting the Special Grade last season. 3) now we see Gojo had learned the foundation of Cursed Energy and Sorcery and became the invincible hero we see today from his fight with Toji. Its very interesting how this series works. It also reminds me in a similar way to how Todo told us that Sorcerers have to maintain their calm in fights, as sorcery is unstable, and how anger can disrupt your own flow, or it can even enhance it and cause you to lose if you enrage your enemy.
It’s really sad that Riko had to die last ep, she no longer wanted to assimilate with tengen, meaning Toji’s work was already cut out for him, as the assimilation they paid for him to stop never would have happened anyways
3:49 THIS right here is why I always say that Gege Akutami is one of the greatest manga artists of this decade 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Toji's Heavenly Restriction functions in the same way a Binding Vow works. And the whole idea about how a Jujutsu Sorcerer can create a Binding Vow with themselves where their technique becomes more powerful if they reveal information about it, is an ingenious way for the author to give the characters a logical reason to explain their abilities so that the audience knows what's happening, instead of having us go "NOW WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU TELL YOUR OPPONENTS ABOUT YOUR ABILITIES?!?! Should have had the choir physically in the back I would be singing my heart out cause Gojo turned into God for a moment ready to bless Tojo with the ass beating 😂.
Geto couldn't absorb Toji's curse because it was bonded to him. It's the same as why Geto needed to kill Yuta in order to absorb Rika. Geto needed to kill Yuta before absorbing Rika because she was bonded to him so wouldn't submit to Geto while Yuta was still alive.
Toji gave both Gojo and Geto their respective character development and without knowing he became responsible of every fucking mess we are seeing in the present JJK.
Just some additional information. Toji view and attitude is the result of him being raised in the Zenin clan. He's the black sheep of the clan and growing up was usually treated badly by everyone around him. Despite this is spent his time training to get better and prove himself. Even though in the end he could beat everyone in the clan no one acknowledged him due to his lack of cursed energy. Which is why he holds the view of not respecting anyone, not even himself. Then when he met Megumis mum he started to change for the better (him changing his surname shows how much he respected/cared for her), but her death caused him to go back into old ways. I wouldn't say he doesn't care for Megumi. He's similar to Kenny from AoT. Just depressed and full of self-loathing. It's explained later on that him selling Megumi to the Zenin clan is seen as a good thing because Megumi has the Ten shadow technique and Toji believes that Megumi would be praised and treated well at the Zenin clan because of this. Toji telling Gojo about Megumi in the end is him realising it's wrong, because of the horrible attitude and believes the Zenin clan has. Also the reason he doesn't remember Megumi is because he's trying to actively forget and act indifferent about him because he sold his son. This ended up being more long-winded then I expected, but a lot of people don't understand Toji's perspective and this is my interpretation of it. Edit: I found this on reddit recently and it sums up the point I'm trying to make: 'Toji was beaten down and broken by a society that viewed him as garbage, to the point he was unable to function in any sort of healthy manner. There are implications that the reason he was going to sell Megumi, his "blessing", to the Zenin was because he believed that was the best life he could give him, because he knew he was incapable of something that required care like fatherhood. He didn't think it was a good option, but he felt it was the best he could do. Toji is someone who tried to give up on respecting himself or anyone else, an empty shell of a man who lived for fleeting pleasures because there was nothing else in his life.'
the ordinary ppl that were clapping were part of the star religious group that wanted the vessel (Riko) dead so that Tengen would go crazy. they’re basically celebrating the death of a girl who was a part of the jujutsu world when ppl like her are the reason any non-sorcerers are even alive. and for Gojo and Geto this realization was their breaking point.

"No one should be allowed to take youth away from young people" :')
It's amazing to see how everything is connected and it's sad as hell to realize that one couldn't be saved
Which is ironic as Gojo said he didn't want to baby sit anymore brats after bringing Riko back to the school. So a set up for his later development as a mentor for students.
@raec5426 her premature death (as this part is called) was that impactful. That and he himself grew up.

Yes you’re spot on. The clapping is them simply praising the girl’s death. Geto, who is the morally positive one between him and Gojo, was basically telling Gojo that life is still precious even if it belonged to those that deserve death. " 😂🤌🏾 also this is one of those moments where you can see Gege Akutami's love for Hunter X Hunter. Because Binding Vows in JJK are basically the same thing as Nen Restrictions in H x H

@@deveous8629exactly! As I stated earlier, Gege Akutami (the creator of JJK) is a huuuuge fan of H x H and the previous generation of animes like Bleach😌
@@Name-q5v gege=goat
Yup, and some people are still saying that Gege's JJK is a rip-off Naruto, when in reality, it's more like Togashi works, plus Gege himself stated that he even wants the same art style like in HxH.
@@richogarden people are tripping because JJK has nothing in common with Naruto other than the bright haired protagonist has a demon inside of him...and even when it comes to that, it's still not the same shit! 🙄Because even though Kurama hated Naruto, he didn't live inside of him rent free. He would always bail out Naruto by giving him random power-ups. Meanwhile Sukuna would team up with the enemy and start clowning on Yuji as he did with Mahito 😂😂
Not even lying when I say that seeing mappa add the part of toji reaching for his missing lower body immediately made me hype to see Lupas reaction to it 😭
“THROUGH OUT THE HEAVENS I AM THE HONORED ONE”-GOJO
After unlocking RCT/ red 🔴 and purple 🟣
you mean buddha ?
@@projektava9385 Buddha or Gojo?
@@Mr.WestcottX the guy said ,,gojo,, but its a buddha line
That duality shot near the end with Geto and Gojo was 🔥🔥
When watching this episode, I never caught that Gojo got Toji’s blessing, and Geto got his curse.
Also, for everyone else, what do you all think of the honored one scene?
took a bite out of him is a good way to descibe it lmao
9:00 Gojo really said you should've gone for the head lmao
The goddamned YuYuHakusho background music! Y’all funny af. That was ducking good😂😂😂😂 3:17
Ace became a donut
Toji became the Apple logo
me realizing that the whole arc name is about a fkin curse worm that stores weapons
Should have had the choir physically in the back I would be singing my heart out cause Gojo turned into God for a moment ready to bless Tojo with the ass beating 😂.
Even in death he still stood on his own 2 feet!
Toji went out like a OG, mad props to him 🙌🙌
The funny thing is that gojo didn’t kill toji for Amani, he only did it just to prove he’s that nigga 😂😂
Toji didn’t forget he had a son, he forgot that he named his son Megumi, which is a female name 😂
Watching anime and reading manga is always so exhilarating
This episode was stunning 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The unravel and zoom in on dio lmfao your editor is goated.
My Man Toji became the Apple Logo for a Second 😂
Toji gave both Gojo and Geto their respective character development and without knowing he became responsible of every fucking mess we are seeing in the present JJK.
Editor slipping in that 'Unravel' subtly...
10:13 He really just manifested the meme with this line, with Toji being the dog and Gojo being the fire!
"It was me, Dio!" ICANT.....😭
Edit:
I found this on reddit recently and it sums up the point I'm trying to make:
'Toji was beaten down and broken by a society that viewed him as garbage, to the point he was unable to function in any sort of healthy manner.
As a Gojo fan you gotta give respect to Toji mans giving Geto and Gojo the fades before he lost this round. Idc what anyone says if Gojo hasn’t mastered his techniques yet. It is what it is 💁♂️ accept he lost the first round.
Toji is dope, but Gojo was weakened, and hadn’t mastered red and never used purple, and Toji had huge prep time and stealth advantage. Odds were hella stacked against Gojo in first round
@@iAronn But just being gojo satoru is auto odds stacked up against his opponents.
@@iAronn And Toji stacked the odds, so you gotta respect that
@@TechnoArpan And I absolutely do, Toji is a demon and deserves all the respect you can give. I'm only saying you can't really say "idc he hasn't mastered this or that" well it does matter as we can see lol. That and Toji set up a huge trap specifically for Gojo and there was realistically nothing Gojo could do about it. Toji nerfed/drained Gojo so he could take him on lol. Gojo sensed his presence when he was a kid, Toji probably wanted to be safe and get as much of an advantage as he could over Gojo and just get rid of him any means necessary. For this Toji does deserve respect, and would mop up anybody aside from present geto/Gojo up to the present time (Anime only). I really wish we got more Toji
sure he lost the first round and toji is goated for having batman levels of prep but you cant say you don't care gojo hasn't mastered his techniques or whatever when it does play into why toji was able to beat him
He turned his ass into the Apple logo 😂
