But I thought we didn't need optics or lights, and that appendix carry was dangerous
Fudd stuff 🤠🤘
Wilson needs to evolve.
Well you don’t. And it is compared to other positions. But businesses tend to sell things people want even if they are useless.
@@argoshikan How do you decide what someone else needs?
@@kennethbaker5223 well, John and his company over at active self protection have reviewed somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 taped gun fights, many of those of civilian ccw holders/defenders. None of those civilians used a gun light or had a use for one. Bad guys tend to attack you where there is enough light to see their victims.
And red dots are great but you don’t need one, meaning the pistol works without one.
If you are an active duty LEO, then a red dot, light mounted Glock 17 with five reloads is great. But most folks are just trying to live a fantasy with these attachments.
@@argoshikanlights are good if someone breaks into your house at night. Just because it doesn’t happen often doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Get a light
Ain’t NO got dang way Bill and Hackathorn ok’d this 😂

Love the light you don't need 😅😅😅

Lol, I had exactly the same thought, but I guess not everyone is aware of that previous comment on weapon lights.
Until you do.
Ok. So what’s new and improved about it from my EDC-X9L I already have? Changeable grips? Not a reason to purchase a new one. Give me something here.
Optics compatibility
It might be thinner than gen 1, but I'd assume not as thin as the sfx9 because of the grips this one has. It seems more compact overall though.
@@jesse5167 you can get that with the “1.0.”
Here’s how self-centered some people are.
Poster: “Why don’t you build something specifically for me for my situation today?”
Wilson Combat: “We’re happy that you enjoy one of our previous products and that you seem to be enjoying it. We as a company apologize to you and you alone for not seeing a need to purchase this product that we truly feel you would enjoy well.”
@@84jdgregory I think you missed the point of my comment entirely, and if you use quotes, it means you're directly quoting exactly what was said, which in this case, is not a direct quote, what you’re saying is false, and completely inaccurate. My question was, what's new and improved with this 2.0. Is it the changeable grips only? Did they add a new feature? They're calming increased accuracy. Ok, how? There add is so vague and gives no information, leaving everybody with a blank look on their face questioning about what they just saw. It's a 2.0, so that would imply they made improvements. What improvements are there!? Changeable grips!? Who cares. What else? Give me a reason to add this pistol to my collection. It's not an iphone, it's a high end, high performance pistol. Give me a reason to spend another $3,500 because all I am getting out of their add is changeable grips which is not a reason to purchase one.
HELL YES. I absolutely loved the gen 1 so I can only assume that this will be excellent.
Why would you put a light rail on it?😂
For a light
@@DocHudson420 He's making fun of the recent statements made by Ken Hackathorn about a light on a pistol being a bad idea/unnecessary.
@@geekofsteal might not be actually. There are actual fools out there that honestly think having a light is pointless.
Really love the retro futuristic look, too bad it’s way outta my price range like way lol
That tool is a work of art. That will be at the top of my grail gun list, only because it is a Wilson Combat. Hopefully someday.
How’s the grip of the edc x9 2.0 compared to the SFX9?
Hi, i am a new subscriber and was wondering if you guys could ever talk about guns for people with hand tremors? Massad has mentioned seniors with arthritis and his gun tips for that previously. I am a young woman who is physically disabled and I'd like to be able to defend myself, but i dont know if that's an option for me because I have weak, unsteady hands. I used to live in a west coast city and have had too many bad encounters 😔 Anyway, love your content, thanks!
Try the Smith and Wesson Equalizer, easy to rack, smaller grip/handle for ladies.
@@e.g.flores2819 Noted, thank you!
I know i'll never be a good shot, and I accept that just as i've accepted a lot of limitations my condition has given me. But even the ability to confidently say "I have a gun" goes a long way. Predators can read weakness and prey on it, especially those that target women and the disabled.
But wait Ken.....it has a flashlight? 🔦
This is disorienting, on purpose. Puny?
Very Nice Pistol from a Top Manufacturer! I own 5 Wilson Combats Pistols currently, perfect pistols as you would expect from Wilson Combat!
• How many rounds does it pack?
15+1
I like Wilson, but they absolutely don't give a sh!t about LH's.
Very nice pistol
Minus the red dot and the light.
Glad to see further refinements to the EDC X9 line! Looks like a great balance between the flatness of the SFX grip and the roundness of the original EDC.
so why sfx9 exist ? only for grips?
You can keep the stupid red dot and the light. Now you might have something there, other than being too heavy. Eventually another night stand gun.
The fudds are crazy
@@DocHudson420fudds have no understanding of force multipliers.
Where is the 4 inch SFT9 or other SFT9 variants?
I'll never get used to gun-in-the-junk. It's a psychological thing.
LoL the flagship pistol mounted with everything WC reps shit on to sell. Make it make sense. I've shot a few of these and not a single one has left me anything other than thankful I'm not oblivious enough to let go of 3k for one.
I have 2 gen 1 EDC X9's That's how much I like these pistols. The only difference I see is the optic cut. BTW, Wilson discontinued the gen 1 as of today. Unless the gen 2 and gen 1 share the same internal components, it's time to start stocking up on parts. And yes I do carry them.
The grips the gen 1 had screwless grips but it’s still the same size in width. I’m assuming it’s similar to sfx9 in grip feel.
Mmmm hmmm.
They all fall to hardball mmm hmm, 2 world wars.
Did you see that snow flake stuff that gun next to his jimmy?
Mmm hmmm, just like my millenial son, that carries some Turkey gun called a Canik.
He listens to Coldplay sometimes...
Yours for only 50000 dollars 😂
That’s without the light and dot you don’t need.
If you are carrying this, you are plan stupid. A very expensive gun to EDC end up shooting someone and never get it back. Think long term.😂😂
Now should I just eat ramen and canned goods for a whole year to afford this?
WHY IN THE GOD DAMN HELL IS THERE A FLASHLIGHT ON THAT GUN THAT YOULL PROBABLY NEVER NEED COMING FROM A CHANNEL THAT SPECIFICALLY SPEAKS ON GUNS AND GUN RELATED THINGS, AND A COMPANY THAT MAKES GUNS WITH THE OPTION TO MOUNT A LIGHT AND RED DOT THAT YOU’LL PROBABLY NEVER NEED COMING FROM A COMPANY THAT GIVES FIREARM LEGAL ADVICE?!??!?!
I wish the markings were more subtle. It’s a lot of money to be carrying around a WC billboard.
Sweet pistol, but enough with the branding. That’s plastered like a walking talking advertisement
Perfection... I'm calling you all as soon as the gold angels sprinkle me with their unicorn dust. But seriously, fantastic pistol. I will have one.
When will the double stack 1911 be offered with a full length grip?
Plate mounted optic and still needs suppressor height sights, so close.
Is it drop safe?
$3200??? Imma stick with my $300 Glock 43X MOS.
Grip width is 1.4 inch. Same as EDC X9 1.0 right?
Does that mean the price of the original is going down? Would love to own a WC.
Beautiful made machine
Anyone else notice the hair fiber on the front sight! I’ll give Bill a pass on that one thing.
this one or cz shadow 2 compact?
K footprint for the optic system, please!
Looks great but I’m not spending 3-4k on a carry gun that will be taken away if I’m involved in a legal shooting and may never get it back.
If it's justified why wouldn't you receive it back?
@@GiveMeThatCake Some states don't care about your rights, or even the letter of the law.
Naming it EDC is so cornball
What Is The Capacity.??
Love the design but I’m not a fan of the front sight post with the optic fiber rod. I have a pistol from Springfield that the rod keeps breaking.
You can get different sights.
The way these are designed you can easily switch out the front site yourself.
Does it come with an AI
Anybody want to buy me one?
I may very well be the only one, but I think an EDC X platform in .45 would be about as close to a grail gun as I could imagine. Even with the limited capacity, I’d still go for it.
man all those gadgets and gizmos are not needed. A light? when was the last time anyone needed a light?
The last time a light was needed was when it was needed.
@@thatguy3139right? My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately Wilson Combats buddy Ken Hack attack made a video saying that exact thing.
Crotch carry lol
So what’s new on this that the gen 1 doesn’t have
This seems to have a smaller grip radius while still giving the option of having grips.
I want to get this
Sweet!
Nothing else like it.
Only those who owns one really knows 🫡👍🏼
Grip thickness between sfx9 and this edc 2.0??
Sorry, wilson! Ken killed you guys!
UH when’s the last time you needed that TLR-7? 🤨
Nice
Looks like something you'd get fir pre-ordering a video game
I was looking on the Wilson Combat website to build one on the dream builder but did not see it!
I want one!!! I’ll trade my old X9 and my wife for this!!
What a great looking light , wait is that a Wilson combat as well ? I thought Wilson just used the flash to see at night ?
What's actually different?
Ordered mine :) waiting with anticipation :)
I'll take it.
It has everything i am looking for .
What's the price point?
I love the ambi safety
Fantastic, amazing ! I need one.
Super interesting.
Looks amazing, but you guys are killing me with the no grip safety. At least make it an order option on the edc
I hate grip safeties and if it had one I’d be far less likely to buy one especially if I wanted to carry it
@@AngleFan1 yeah I understand, I have a few carry guns with no safety, but for whatever reason the 1911 styles I feel like I need it. I went with a staccato and love it and I’ll probably get a Wilson soon just for fun, I just don’t know if I’d carry it.
I’m interested, but what’s different about it?
Pretty sure just the grips, it will look great on the sft line though. Very classic look.
Definitely grabbing one
Looks great!
One day….
Nice 👍

Idk why UA-cam decided to automatically sub me to your channel.
Pistol looks like literally every other pistol your company has produced. I get staying in your lane but you’re basically just releasing the same pistol over and over again at this point.

@@glennrishton5679 same here. everything i see is fuzzy. i shut my non- dominant eye and aim in the middle of the fuzz.
(EDIT) i was just trying to make the point that wilson combat (quality guns, one complaint) make you pay a premium. even though i've paid it. a few times. an inexpensive ruger goes bang just as many times out of a hundred as a w/c. it's just not as refined, and the extra cost seems hard to justify.

Will it survey letting the slide drop?
I need a flashlight for the same reason why i need to carry a pistol.
Now please partner with JM custom Kydex so we can have a good awib holster for this thing. No one wants to carry this in leather. And Ultra precision sucks!!!!! I own every type of holster on your website. Partner with jm or dark star or someone good.
Thought you don’t need red dot and light 🙄
Is it better than the Glock 19 though?
Lol, as the owner of a 19 , a Gray ghost, and a Shadow DR , you buy this Willson and if your not satisfied I'll trade you all three for one.
And if your curious, the Shadow Systems is hands down better than a 19.
Hammer fired guns are generally better than striker fired guns in almost every aspect. Striker fired are affordable and convenient, which is why I carry a Glock 19. I also have Beretta’s and 1911’s that are more expensive better performing firearms and I am willing to bet this new Wilson Combat pistol is no different.
"better" is subjective. It's more precise, exclusive, has higher grade materials, better workmanship, etc. Is it "better" at protecting you? Probably not. Does it provide "better" pride of ownership? Probably.
I would argue that the pet rock is better than the Glock 19
Wish this would come in 10mm!!!
Who TF wants 10mm?!?!
Just dont drop that slide on an empty mag. The gun will break .
At a price tag of $3300, it’s not worth it. WAY overpriced for a EDC. Wilson makes great handguns, but not at that price. As a police officer and instructor, don’t buy this for a EDC.
Lights ? Never ! ! Why do you want the enemy to see where you are, especially before you even fire a round ?
Wilson Combat is a walking contradiction. Am I allowed to carry this appendix? I wouldn’t want to upset any of the fudds.
Youre sensitive eh
Any other grips? Cant stand the wooden grips. They reek 1960.
They're G-10 and you can get them in 4 different colors.
