This video, like the others, is just so good. Previously mystifying concepts become sensible and easy. Love the opening line "some people call this dimensional analysis, some people call this the factor-label method, but you're going to call it easy" - ha!! Great!

Hey Tyler ! I'm really confused on how you got 1,560 as you answer. You said I needed to multiply 3.45 by 453.6. I did and I got an absurdly large number( perhaps I did the multiplication wrong), so I put it in a regular calculator and I got 1564.92. How did you 1,560?

So with conversion units do we still write the answer with significant figures in mind and use scientific notation? For example a problem (simple) I am working on is 4.45 gallons to cm^3 or cc's. The end result gives 16843.25 cm^3. Would I write this answer as is or 16800.00 or 1.68x10^4? The least sig. fig.'s would be the 4.45 so that is why I only included 3 sig. figures. Thanks.

My teacher is so bad that when she teaches she does the problems wrong and then after we write it down she’s like “OH WAIT I DID IT WRONG” and she confuses everyone by doing this and then she’ll be like “OH I FORGOT TO TELL YOU SOMETHING” and goes back to something we did 20 minutes ago and it confused us even more. And then she asks for the answer to a problem and nobody says anything because she can’t teach

When he says the number should be (sample): 34 x (1/52). that is completely wrong. I would do: (34 x 1) / 52. I get a completely different answer if I do it the way he shows. If you follow proper BEDMAS it would be the second way to get the correct answer. Unless I’m wrong then feel free to argue.

Answer this question for me, please, is a head scratcher:
1.0 cubic centimetre (cm^3) of a solution contains 0.010g of salt. What is the mass of salt contained in 1 cubic decimetre (dm^3) of the same solution?
Textbook says 10g but I disagree, my answer is 0.1g
Which answer is correct and Why?

This dosent really help when u have questions like “An average Bic ballpoint pen can write for approximately 2km before it runs out of inc. The 100 billionth pen was sold in 2006. If all of those pens were completely used up, for the sole purpose of drawing a single line following the Equator, how many times would that line be able to circle the Earth? (The circumference of the earth is 40,075 km) 🙃😕

Great vid! I'm sharing this with my students. One quibble... must we use "x" for multiplication? It trips up my little algebraists.
