How do you solve problems with conversion of metric units (also known as SI units). These are units like cubic centimeters, cubic millimeters, cubic meters, cm^3, mm^3, m^3, and milliliters (mL), and liters (L). One cubic centimeters is the same as one milliliter, and one cubic decimeter (dm) is the same as one liter.
I have spent a week crying over Chemistry. This class is fully online with zero face to face lectures and to say I have been struggling is an understatement. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. These are some of the first videos that have actually helped me. Plus this one deals with exactly what I was struggling with... CUBIC THINGS. You rock.
Hey everyone, I'm here to help. If you have any questions or just want to learn more, click on the link in the description above. It'll take you to a page where you can ask me questions.
Hey how I can convert this 1.4 ×10^9 km^3 to m^3

(1,50m)(2,50m)(5,00m)=18,75m3..............where is 18.8m3 coming from?, please crarify
@@notinuse90 I know right
Dude, thanks for saving my grades! You explain things better than my professor does
Usually how it goes...
fantastic explaination and presentation. Iam already 50 yrs old, and it still help me with my trade. Thanks man keep going you doing a very good job.

Thanks Tyler, you are making my Chemistry Journey easy. Even after 10yrs, your video is still the best. Thanks once again.
Tyler, thank you SO much for this easy explanation! I was stuck listening to a chemistry lecture that had a very long and complicated way to get to the same answer, and I figured out how to do conversions through your video in 1/4 the time! You're an excellent teacher, and you've gotten me more excited to learn chemistry. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
You have simplified ALL math for me. I will be eternally grateful to you.
You are the best!!! back in school after 28yrs and just started chemistry. You have been a blessing
Visited this channel for high school and now visiting again for uni. Thanks so much
yes, that's right, and i'm rounding to 3 significant figures, so it comes out to 18,800. if you're still confused about this, you should watch my videos on sig figs, starting with "significant figures made easy!!"
I wish you can teach all my subjects, all my life I thought maybe I should be the one that takes the short bus home, but you teach in a way that makes me feel less mentally challenged than I already am..thanks
Taking a Chem course in college, needed a refresher. This video/problem was by far the best. Thank you, sir :^)
Dr. Dewitt is there a video you have the explains converting within the SI system?
Thank you Tyler.Well explained .Excellent teaching.Keep it up.
Thank you Tyler, didn't know how to convert a volume in m³ to Litres.I didn't even know what is DECIMETER. Benefited a lot☺️.Great teaching Tyler
wow the way you deliver your lectures is effective.
thanks so much men, I have advanced chemistry and the teacher never clearly explained how to do this, and put it in the study guide
Very useful, learning for my nursing math test - many thanks for taking your precious time to do this
Good explaination thanks!!!
So helpful especially for those who has a Chemistry subject!
Ur better than any science teacher I've ever had, thank you
Thank you so much! You explain this so much more clearly than my textbook!
It helped me a lot, especially since we have a chemistry subject 😇 well explained 💯
Very informative it has a big help to me, to understand how to convert metric units of volume. Thank you for this
Glad that i was able to watch this very informative video 🙂 Well-explained💯
whelp... i think i can pass chemistry finals now! arigato!
Thank you . I was worried about my chemistry final
Sir you teach in a awesome way . Hats off ! Thank you
you are the most amazing chemist, thank you so much please add more videos for us
I just discovered that cm³ is equivalent to mL. Great 😊
Well explained! Really a great help❤️
thank you for the imformation. the explanation was clear and good delivery 😍😍
Thank you for the clear and very well explanation. Nice one😍
Thank you for this video. This will really help especially "if you have one of those picky teachers"😊😊
With the help of this, you can show your solution.👍👍👌👌👏
Tyler you just saved my life!!!!! Thank You!!!!!
you have helped me a lot
thank you so much sir
we r facing problem in material balances
if u can explain so we will be thankful for u sir
Excellent presentation style!
YOU ARE AWESOME, TYLER! THANK YOU
Awesome lesson. I like the second method.
This helped me so much. Thank you 😊
Nice video. Perfectly explained, thanks Sir.
Thank you! and thank goodness for you tube. I have exam on Monday and my main worries is how to convert units to metric. I am ready :)
thank you for this video, well explained ☺️
I like your explanation.Good job🧠😀
I enjoyed your explanation. Thank you.
Hi how do we get percentages from whole numbers
Great explanation! Thank you so much. 😊
So how would you convert from cm^3 to m^3?
witchgirl67 100 cm = 1 m. You cube this, just like he did in the video. (100 cm)^3 = (1 m)^3. 1000000 cm^3 = 1 m^3
You could also convert cubic metres into kilolitres and then litres e.g. 3m^3 = 3kL = 3000L
Excellent teaching video. Thank you so much!
Well explained, thank you so much.
Thankyou for making it so simple,:-)
great video. It almost makes converting easy
This video is a lifesaver
how do that 1ml=1cm^3?
Thanks for information.. it will help me a lot..
youtube universty, god bless your work
I survived grade 10th chemistry because of him. Thank you sir
any good videos on open manometers ?
please explain why the conversion factor is written the way it is. I do not understand why we are dividing it by itself just written in a different way.
bless you man these are the perfect review videos for finals
Whats up with your name?
Geez 😒
I have a question, how would you use dimensional analysis to show that 1L is equivalent to 1dm^3? Or 1 mL = 1 cm^3? I know this sounds like a silly and simple question but I have issues trying to convert units.
Hello! I would like to know what level chemistry your teaching. Is this basic college chemistry?
9:15 Lol i thought he's gonna say " Sh*t your talking about" i was like...seriously !!
anyway...thank you so much
Mohamad Hanan AHAAHA
I wish he was my chiemistry teacher you're a life saver
mine too 😓
Same
Thank you so much. My teacher is super picky.
Nice explanation.
Very informative video thank you..
Thank you for the information sir. 👍
you are
really awesome i m your fan
ayyy eat kurry
how about 1.0 m by 5.6 cm by 2.1 dm to liters and cubic meter?
To liters:
10 dm * 0.56 dm * 2.1 dm = 11.76 dm^3 or (rounded to) 12 liters.
To cubic meters:
1.0 m * 0.056 m * 0.21 m = 0.01176 m^3 or rounded to 0.012 m^3.
Is it okay if the meter is convered into cm because 1cubic centimetre is equal to 1 ml and I convert it to L ?
Do you really think he is gonna answer your comment now when he made this video 8 flipping years ago?
THANKSSSS!! I have been using your vids quite a bit lol there's no breaking it down in class which makes it very difficult, so your vids have been of great help to me.
You are just outstanding
Thank you sir. You're the best!!!
Hey you are the Greatest!!!
so,why 1 cm ^3 =1 ml
Thank you for the help!🥰
Great! Thank you so much sir🥰
Great video
I don’t understand why you have to use decimeters?
thanks a lot. This helps a ton
Nice video! Thanks 🥰
thank you for this, because i learned something
Thank you for this video👌
You are a lifesaver
Thank you so much sir😊
Thanks for this video ☺
so how would you solve 2500 mL to L
divide by 1000 = 2.5L
Thank you
Why can't you just convert meters cubed to mL >> then >> convert mL to Liters? Giving: 0.019L (after Sig Figs)??
15.47m^3 = ? km^3 ??? please help
u sir r a genius
The Seahawks should have run the ball on the 1 yard line
Are dm3 cm3 mm3
Si units ?0
Great video 😊❤️😊❤️
You're awesome I got the clear
Thank you so much 💓
How are we supposed to know off the bat that 1 mL = 1 cubic centimeter and 1 L = 1 cubic decimeter? I know theres a way to figure it out but how is this common knowledge?! Thanks!
thank you !🤌🏻🥲
Thank you!
