    you can shift a point or you can shift your brain
    The advantage is that the number does not change in the metric system, only the point is moved:
    in meter: 12m
    in decimeter: 120dm
    in centimeter: 1,200cm
    in Millimeter: 120,000mm
    and it is scalable from the smalles part of an atom to the size of the univers without any rounding error
    all units are connected with factor 1:
    Water: 1kg is 1dm³ is 1 liter
    or 1000: 1kg=1000g=1,000,000mg
    1N=1m/1s²
    push the point instead of multiplying by 0,000568182 or 1760,0005632

    Dude thank you so much, this is really going to help me for Chemistry and AP Environmental Science! Also a quick suggestion, use B instead of U since its easier to remember. So you would have: King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk. Rather then: King Henry Died Unexpectedly Drinking Chocolate Milk. The "Unexpectedly" part is too much to remember I would cut that out with By instead, hope that was easier to understand for some of you guys.

    If you follow the SI units, kilo must always be written with a small k. Milli must always be written with small m, otherwise it is Mega.

      Case is important in quite a few of these multipliers and units. M mega, m milli and metre, k kilo, K Kelvin, S Siemens, s second, C Celsius, c centi. MM is mega mega not millimetres which is mm.

    • @flyakwa
      @flyakwa Рік тому

      They are base units. Gram for mass, Meters for length and Liter for volume (Liter is not a base unit actually, the base unit is m^3, and 1L = 1dm^3).
