I have a Quest 2 as well as an i7 8700k and GTX 1060 6GB which, while on the lower end of the VR spec requirements, is enough to play VR games on a PC with Steam VR. You don't need to spend a lot of money in order to play VR titles on your PC.

Yeah, it's a great, cheap build for 1080p. If you haven't built it already, here are some tips. The B550M motherboard is unnecessary as a B450M can support the CPU and it is cheaper. I'm unsure if 3600MHz RAM will work at full speed though cause its only a Ryzen 3000 instead of a Ryzen 5000. So you can save money by getting 3200MHz CL16 instead of 3600MHz CL18. Nowadays, 256GB of SSD is not enough. At least 500GB is recommended, but 1TB is ideal. You can use the money saved on the motherboard and RAM to upgrade to a 1TB SSD like the Kingston NV2 or KingSpec NX. I don't know much about the APEVIA Captain, so to be safe, I would buy a PRESTIGE 600W or a MAG A550BN.
Would be fine for e-sports, but the motherboard is a bit excessive as another reply said. If you want to play games that are more heavy, that CPU is going to be a big limiting factor since it only has 4 cores and 4 threads that aren't very fast.

Igame Rtx 3060ti dual fan
Which I bought secondhand from shop here in Malaysia for about 530 ish USD. All the parts still under warranty 1 to 2 years.
Now I'm thinking to upgrade my GPU to Rtx 3070ti igame Vulcan OC for about 138 USD after I trade in my Rtx 3060ti from the same computer shop. The RTX 3070ti they give warranty till 2027.
I know most of you guys will come at my neck for going to 8 gigs vram but I'm playing at 1080p with 240hz. Plus it's hard to find the Rx 6800 or 6800xt even 3080 10gb will cost more in Malaysia. After considering the price after I trade my old GPU and the warranty, am I taking an L or W?
Im debating wether or not to Change up my Mobo and CPU from the LGA1200 to an AM4 platform as i dont plan on using it more than a workhorse/playing older games that are more CPU focused as i have an RX 580 woth it that may be fried, not sure. Im building a R5 7600x with a 7700XT at the same time as i have taken the promo AMD is doing RN in the States where you get them both for under $500. The 580 build thoigh might be able to keep chugging with its current I-3 10100F (i know the shame that CPU brings me is immeasurable. )
