There is too much obsession with having the latest. I’ve got two old systems.
My main system has an i9-9900k on a Z390, 32GB DDR4, and just this week upgraded GPU to an RTX 4070Ti Super from the 2080Ti I had in there for about 5 years. I play at 1440p and it does everything I want it to and is enjoyable, which really is the unquantifiable metric of when to upgrade.
I also have a much older one which I use for older games that has a 4790k at 4.5Ghz, 16GB DDR3, and an RTX 2070. It gets the job done comfortably at 1080p.
Funny thing is I build and upgrade PC’s for friends and family, and they get newer.

    My recent build:
Video Card: Sapphire Pulse 6650XT - $200 - 9% slower than the 6700 for $200 new is a steal right now.
(all 3 items below were $240 total)
CPU: 5600X - CPU isn't the issue with games at 1080p on this gen - cheap as possible as this isn't the final CPU it will have. The MB has plenty of future upgrade path for later on.
Case: Cooler Master Q300L v2 - took the screens off to improve airflow. Easy "fix".
Power Supply: Corsair RM750x. - modular.
Thermalright Burst Assassin cooler - $20
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB kit - $48.
ASUS 550M-A - $105 - This board can handle the latest previous gen X3D CPUs, so a good future upgrade path when those are cheap.
    SSD: Crucial P3 Plus 1TB - $68
$681 and no used parts. The case is black on black with the RGB ram being the only color in the build. It also is a much smaller case. FPS in games is only slightly slower than his setup. The most expensive part aside from the CPU and video card was actually the power supply. I splurged here to get a clean case layout/look. $650 should be easily doable as the system only needs a 450W power supply. (CPU and video card at max draw is barely 300W) 750w was me future-proofing it.
FPS in Cyberpunk is about 5 fps less. Hardly worth noticing at this price.

Very interesting video. I have a 5700X cpu and had a 6700XT gpu until very recently when I swapped out the gpu for a 7900GRE. That pairing played everything at 1440p very well and the gpu upgrade has given some good additional FPS. Should keep me happy for another year or so until I jump to AM5.

I bought a new pc this week. If you can rate this I would appreciate it.
    My build :-
    Ryzen 5 5600g
    Stock cooling
    A520M pro motherboard
    DDR4 16GB RAM
    1TB NVME SSD
    RTX 2080 8GB VGA
    650w antec psu 80+ bronze
    Gamdias AURA casing
    Total build cost = $716.00
All are brand new parts expect for the VGA..
I learned so many things from ztt and I bought all the parts and build this bad boy with my bro.
It's rocking good performence in games and everything. I'm still missing a good keyboard a mouse and a headset for the build. Also a better monitor. If you can recommend me anything you think is the best, I would really appreciate it.. Thanks again ZTT..

Three months ago, I built a gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 5600G, 32GB of RAM, an MSI B550 Pro motherboard, a Crucial P3 1TB NVMe SSD, and a 550-watt PSU, which cost me 45,000 INR (535 USD). A few days ago, I bought a pre-owned RX 6600 for 14,000 INR (160 USD). I'm a bit confused-did I make a good decision by buying the Ryzen 5600G, or should I have gone for the Ryzen 3200G instead. 🙄

I played star field with ultra settings with my rtx 4060 and i5 12600k and managed to get above 70fps constantly. I’m surprised at your benchmarks for star field because I would assume the 6700xt is better than my 4060 in that game because I thought it was optimized for AMD hardware.

For this build, I would probably go with a 5600 instead and invest that money into either the 7700XT or the 6800. 6800 for the vram, 7700XT otherwise.
