I agree, very clever use of geometry ... I'll have to remember this. I've used intersecting lines to find the center, but I've never considered just making them parallel to find the exact spots that quickly.
Hey guy, I just wanted to let you guys know that I just checked my Subscription box and I seen that Jimmy DiResta uploaded a new video. I just want to tell you guys how happy I am. I have been bored and lonely searching the youtubes for something to watch, and when I noticed that DiResta had a new project for me to enjoy my boredom faded away. Let's all enjoy this video together.
Awesome work, as an old tradesman who's been off the tools for years, your channel inspired me to get into my wee workshop and have fun. love dirty money too . Thank you Mr Diresta.
I have said it before, and I am sure I will always be saying it: You are awesome! I totally love your woodworking projects, and you have a great eye for mixing metal and wood.
That trick to finder the centers for the drawer pulls is f'ing mind blowing. I had to go back and put that at 1/4 speed to see what you did there. Thank you for that incredible nugget of info.
10:46 I have never seen this way of marking out drawer handles. I have installed at least a few thousand drawers with the same D handle used here, Genuinely amazed Thank you i will try this, and will probably use that method for the rest of my life,.
I loved the method you used for lining up the drawer pulls Jimmy, I'll have to remember that one in future. The desk looked great too, with a lovely solidity to it. Thanks as always
You never cease to amaze Jimmy. (And your watch is still pristine!) The trick for centering the handle is great...going to run to the shop and try that out!
The centering method is great, so much easier than all the other times I've done it. Had to pause it a couple times to see what you're doing, but I got it. Thanks!
It would be awesome to see a video with Jimmy and Jody working on something, a collaboration of some sort. That would be an awesome video. 2 amazing craftsmen.
That was impressive. The engineering to be able to get that monster out of the shop was impressive. The finished product was beautiful. I'm sure the customer was thrilled.
Dear Jimmy, you keep surprising me with your craftsmanship. Another piece of art from you. I can watch your videos all day long, and some of them I have been watching more than one time I can tell you. I have learned a lot from your skills. Thanks a lot bro, and keep it coming. Respect and Love from Denmark.
Very impressed with your craftsmanship and level of knowledge of all of projects. This project was very beautiful, rustic and industrial fill to the reception desk. Awsome 2 thumbs up!👍👍
I had to watch the handle install a few times to figure out what you were doing. Brilliant technique for locating the mounting holes. I'm writing that one down. Thanks!
It´s great to see you working with diferente materials like steel and wood... nice finishing in both... and your skils to weld... it´s a pleasure to see your vídeos... Regards from Portugal...

idk what it is but my thing recently is drinking beer and watching woodworking videos. the combination is just euphoria for me. I wish I had a shop like that. haven't made anything since high school wood shop class but I miss the smell of saw dust.
Beautiful result. I really like it and im not into rustic furniture in generel. Thanks for the tip with mounting the drawer pulls. I did not know that one :) Obvious now, you showed it :D
You are a genius a master craftsman I have seen every single one of your videos the two now it is my favorite video I watch it over and over how simple of a creation and how wonderful of an art piece but not to sound weird or nothing but how do you create your ideas can you make a video on how ideas come about or create something on how you make your ideas come true thank you you rock
That turned out great Jimmy. I love your method of lining up those drawer handles, I filed that away and will try it the next time I install handles.
Absolutely. Amazing how the smallest things can still blow your mind!
It was epic. I would have never thought of that. I always learn something when watching Jimmy's videos.
I call myself technically inclined, but I wouldn't have thought of this method in a million years.
I agree, very clever use of geometry ... I'll have to remember this. I've used intersecting lines to find the center, but I've never considered just making them parallel to find the exact spots that quickly.
