- APL aka: Celebrity chef Adam Perry Lang had a vision for a mobile spice kit. We went over his concept sketch and developed this prototype. I use solid walnut for the box and mix of solid and walnut ply for the interior. This spice box will be used to create and store spices at his live cooking events. Learn more about Adam here:

Jimmy, all the compartments and drawer just blew me away! The beauty of your craftsmanship above reproach and inspiring! Thanks for sharing your creative genius with us all these years!
Thank you for the love and support !!
Your attention to detail, level of care and craftsmanship that goes into everything you make never ceases to amaze me
I see a lot of comments about Jimmy being The Flash :p
But did you know that all his videos are actually shown in reverse! He doesn't build stuff. He very elegantly takes stuff apart! :D
+Scott ` we need to research into that.
CJAwesome83x well cutting wood back together is a crazy talent.
I can't say how much I love watching these accelerated videos. The sounds of music, whirring saws and the tapping of hammers sped up is oddly pleasing.
I am not kidding. Every clip of yours I watch, I am quiet with a big smile on my face.
Jimmy was the best part of Trash to Cash. I watched each episode just to see what cool stuff jimmy was going to make next. One season wasn't enough.
The sound of the machinegun speed hammering with the occasional squeaky jibberjabber of people talking in the the fast-forward video mode. Love it! LOLOL
A lot of talented wood workers on UA-cam, but Jimmy is the best.
That finger joint jig is the best and simplest I've seen. It's great to see someone utilizing efficient, no frills carpentry techniques to produce great pieces. Most guys only have hand saws in their shop as wall hangers. Thanks for keeping it real, as a result your pieces have character that can't be replicated.
Клёво! Всегда слежу за всеми работами этого мастера. Руки золотые, да и мастерская супер!!!
The Bob Ross of making stuff!! Always entertaining! Waiting for another season of Dirty Money.
Nice, Jimmy! Thanks! Funny thing is.....I heard my two young daughters asking their Mama "what are all those weird noises coming from Daddy's office late at night Mom? I laughed my ass off because I realized that I usually watch your videos with the volume way up when I am in my office late at night. They have been hearing the super speed sound effects from your various power tools and such......funny!
hahah thank you for that !
Vigil Ante Tell them you're learning to speed read.
I want to say thank you very much Jimmy.
When I would be ill and could not go out, I watched your videos and they helped me escape from the disease.
Thank you so much for the interesting video.
Apologies for the poor knowledge of English, but i think you understand me.
Watching you makes me wish I'd have taken an interest in the weekly woodworking periods while I was school. Thanks for sharing more of your top-notch work, as the videos you produce are absolutely magnificent.
Wow that is probably my favorite build I've seen on UA-cam in a while! That walnut looked great! Jimmy, you never disappoint!
I'm worn out and all I did was watch a video. Excellent craftsmanship!!
I like the way this video was filmed. I think that the static camera positioning looks better than having someone filming by hand.
Great build as always! Happy to see all the new videos pouring in!
What a neat trick cutting the dovetails by having the little block grab the previous cut for perfect spacing. Kudos!
I love how you completed the box before separating the lid from the base. Fantastic work!
I can't understand why there are even thumbs down on videos like this. I get that there are haters everywhere but seriously how can you thumbs down craftsmanship like this! Jimmy if your ever in Houston Tx. Id be honored to buy you a beer.
Jimmy DiResta it's just a pair watching you work man..love when I see your videos pop up. You need to get back on TV.. you rock man
Just rewatched this after years, and it is still awesome.
HOLY COW! I love it. Any grillin' man would give his right arm for this spice box. Great work, Jimmy...that box would make even the most discerning Italian grandmother proud!
yet another inspirational masterclass from the legend that is Mr Jimmy Diresta!!
Now that's a spice rack worth carrying around! Very nice work!
Just watched this video with my 6 year old twins hanging over my shoulder. They loved seeing everything in fast-motion and guessing what it was going to be before the end (I didn't let them see the description.) When it was finished, my daughter exclaimed, "AMAZING!" Love it, Jimmy. Thanks for sharing your talents with all of us.
Josh B.
Man, that is some 10 levels above next-level work. Just fantastic.
You are superb at what you do Mr Diresta, I can't help but be amazed at your work. I love the woodwork and the metalwork but the biggest thing is that you don't have a huge workshop full of multi-thousand pounds/dollars worth of machinery. Truly an inspiration for someone like me.On another note, have you ever done a video in making your box joint jig? It looks very useful.
Great project Jimmy! I think my favorite idea was how you cut the drawer front. Clever. :)
DUDE IT'S THE DIP IT GUUY
The oscillating saw jig is awesome! Wish I saw that yesterday. Thanks for sharing.
DiResta, you are a natural at this.
He makes it look so easy.
I learn every time I watch a Jimmy Diresta video....Thank you brother!
love everything about your videos broski! the editing is exactly what i like and it keeps me engaged. You speed up and slow down the right parts to keep me watching. Love your style, skill and innovations, keep making videos man because i love watching them!
This is my favorite video because it is what I want.... I going to build something like this for my kitchen... little different, but my spices mortar pestle, my own custom kitchen knife, cutting board and bamboo spoons..... Thanks for the Idea.
Gorgeous!!! My favorite project of all of your videos.
I think this may be my favourite creation you've shown us so far...thanks for the entertainment Jimmy.
Charred and Scruffed is a great cookbook. Took one of this guy's cooking classes, great dude. Nice work Jimmy!
Now I see the need for me to get one of those vibrating blade saws.
Always learning something new when I watch.
That is one sweet spice Box!!! Awesome!
Once again, top notch project and video. Jimmy DiResta is great.
Wow, that is insanely well crafted and beautiful! Excellent work!
Wow...!
Dear Jimmy, I really love your works and videos!
Thank you very much!!!
Great design and execution - it looks fantastic.
Very nice!
I have no idea why I never thought of taping hinges in place for drilling and fastening.
and affixing a piece of sand paper to a board for cleaning up the edges at the corners, genius!
this is one of the most beautiful builds you've ever made *~*
Fantastic once again. Always inspires me to get out to the shed and have a crack. Thanks mate.
Dude, I was so mezmorized by your work that I started pushing my mouse across the desk like I was feeding the table saw. It wasn't untill I saw the little arrow go across the screen that I snapped out of it!
I have watched a few of your videos now, and for some reason i feel as though i'm having an acid flashback as i'm watching.
I love your projects by the way they are second to none!
That's just beautiful, man. I had to watch the video twice just to take it all in. Now I have go and build on fir myself.
Just wow... miracle hands.. Respekt to you and yours works.
Beautiful Jimmy, Just Beautiful
I dig the photo of Hank Sr. too...
Hi Jimmy,
I've been a fan of yours for a long time mostly because you think inside the box sometimes but out-of-the-box just enough to keep people talking about you! I wish you and yours the very merriest of Christmases and a happy and safe new year.
I like watching his vids at 2x playback speed! I can almost see the future when I do!
Incredible craftsmanship and your experience really shows in your style of using tools
Every time I watch one of your videos, you do something in it that my brain instantly goes "nope, ruined it!" and every time, my brain is wrong! Dude you make some amazing stuff. I wish I had the space to have even a small work shop. Sadly a mid terraced house in England doesn't grant you a lot of room. I need that BBQ kit mind!
Awesome I love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to record and post them.
Classy product... Things like the name plate and using a strip of brass long the front of the jars really adds a unique custom touch. Great job!
Amazing work like always, I envy your shop.
Loved that. Brilliant!
Awesome! Can't wait for the next vid!
Good job! Looks great as always. Keep the cool videos coming!
Because every mobile spice rack should have a spot for some good old George!
Another stunning box. Excellent work as per usual.
JIMMY. WOW!!!!!!!!! WHAT A GREAT BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know a few chefs in my life that would appreciate this box. Looks like I better get to making.
Dang, all the time you were building this, I thought "what's a splice box". Great job.
wow amazing craftsmanship this is a beautiful piece wonderful job!
Hey Jimmy, this box is great. Excellent job.
I love this box, this is probably my favorite DiResta video!
What a beautiful object. Well done, brother man!
I'd just like to say Thank You. Your videos have helped a lot with the projects I have done.
watching your videos is like opening christmas presents!
Wow! Beautiful!
That is some serious table saw skills.
+christschool As you cut the 3rd board into stripes with the tablesaw, you soon realize the power of just one blade poking out of a breach going at least 3000 RPM
Awesome work, i enjoy so much seeing your videos.
Very nice bit of woodworking there expertly made.
One of my favorite builds yet! Nice work Jimmy!!
He who controls the spice, controls the universe.
I got your reference, but just for fun, I thought I'd mention that you can rearrange the word Atreidies into Diresta (with a spare E left over).
That´s the spice box level ultimate! Thanks for sharing.
One of my favorites of yours, great job man!
