Haven't picked up a chisel or hammer in over four years. Since I started watching your vids I can't stop sketching projects. This project is truly beautiful. I can nearly smell the saw dust from it. Keep bringing us these videos jimmy!!
12/1/23 0:02 Started off with a great way to get a flat reference point. This is one way to not need a jointer 0:50 I’ve always remembered you making framed pieces with the domino 1:22 the up down router trick 1:39 I notice you do trick to on the table saw for thin cuts across the insert 6:39 the wedging trick I’ve used this a lot to 8:04 full of little trick in the video. I really liked it back when you and David worked together a lot 15:43 I’ll never forget the stories you told about you and Dave installing
Im amazed there is so many dislikes for a great mobile bar and display station, why would you dislike great craftsmanship like this, unless they happen to be disgruntled Crown Royal ex employees!
So many great details in this project. I like the fluer de lis and cutting the grooves in the faces of the vertical supports. I'm building a fireplace mantle really soon and this is really inspiring. Very nice job Jimmy!
I have been home from an injury for almost 3 years now and I love woodworking but it's hard to get up and go into my shop were my tools have been collecting dust watching your videos have made me fight through the pain and get back into my shop and do what I can great work sir
this blows my mind. i'm glad that you show small builds more often. It makes it seem feasible to become a maker, like you, after decades of experience, especially when you build something this immaculate and so well thought out. Thank you so much for sharing your work, Jimmy. David, you should post more often on instagram love your stuff.
Even though I'll never reach your level Jimmy, just watching you work gives me the inspiration to get out to my garage "workshop" to try something new. Awesome detail and craftsmanship as always Jim. Thanks for sharing. Bob
If Jimmy doesn't get you inspired no one will. Jimmy the first vid I watch of yours I think my mouth was open all the way through it. Thanks for sharing.
You never cease to amaze me jimmy! Man you inspire me to get out there and get my hands completely filthy every time I watch one of your videos! The amount of detail and attention and just SHEAR SIZE of this build is mind blowing! Congratulations sir on being hands down the best builder in my opinion on UA-cam.
Logical planing and accurate working, right tool choice, correct cut, super design, good texture selection. Love the style of making this set of items. wow, wow, . you are best.
I don't normally comment on videos but i watch a lot of yours and Im just blown away. Your imagination and how you pull it all together and everything you do has so much attention to detail. Everything you do has a purpose. Your truly inspiring and I hope to be half as good as you one day.
Wow what a build Jimmy. I have to say the same thing as others have. It's a beautiful piece and I should hope Crown Royal is well pleased. Masterpiece one more time.
If there is anyone out there that combines creativity and craftsmanship the way that you do, I have yet to see yet. I don't usually comment, however when brilliance is achieved it must be recognized. We all marvel weekly I am sure at your ability to combine various mediums in to a project. What you have done here is well quite frankly left me speechless. You've done some pretty cool stuff, but this my friend is simply amazing. I'm sure you hear it all the time Jimmy, cause what you do is magical. But I know I speak for thousands when I say you are a true inspiration and original, and I know you make a lot of us better. Thank you sir for what you do and thank you for the positive impact you have had on my life. Perhaps one day our paths will cross and I can explain. Until then my friend take care and again...THANK YOU.
Very impressive. I think it's more fun watching some of these videos after having been listening to the Making It podcast and hearing you talk about making the bar. Love it!
True work of art, well done Jimmy. I know I speak for the amateur woodworking community when I say I wish I had the skills both woodworking and artistry you possess.
Who needs a router table when u can put it in a vice. NICE! & I like the sanding pad. Another great idea.. I see where matt gets it from.must run in th e fam.
Like with all your videos, I sat stunned after it was over. Watching you work and seeing the end product emerge from what seem as random parts and actions is amazing. Incredible craftsmanship.
jimmydiresta Love these build videos, Jimmy. I'm always in awe of the planning it must require to take something of this scale from an idea to a completed project - and us amateurs out here on the intarwebs can pick up such great ideas watching your channel.
Wow, as a Craftsman too, i have to say BIG RESPEKT. I follow your videos since about 2 Years. And a lot of your techniques inspired me to solve some problems that i have due to a lack of space. I almost wait like a junkie for the next video coming up. Your work is mind blowing from a video to an other. Greetings from Luxemburg
Wow, incredible! Noticed a few cool tricks in there that I hadn't thought of but the finished product is amazing. From a small shop in a LES basement! Crazy man. You just prove that talent beats toys.
Jimmy you never cease to amaze me with your creativity and ingenuity. Thank you for continuing to make these videos as it helps inspire me with new ideas and ways to honing my own craft.
While I don't believe that a project has to be big to be impressive, I still find this to be one of your most impressive videos. The attention to detail, the combination of so many of your skills, and of course your artistic eye make for one amazing end product. On top of that, the assembly of the bar on location serves as a reminder of the hard work and versatility it takes to be a freelance artist. Amazing work Jimmy!
Ah yes, Crown Royal. They make this in my home town. I remember seeing the huge warehouse full of barrels when I was a kid. That place employs a lot of my friends. Great to see you working on something so close to home for me. It was a real pleasure watching. That was a huge project I assume. Great job Jimmy! Hey, if you like The Stones, check out my paint it black cover. Thanks man for the great videos!!
Mr d, I've been watching for a while and love the way you dig into a project! I don't usually comment, but when I saw the brass edge-banding I Clapped Out Loud. Bravo! You are a clever designer. oh, and brilliant marketing with the competing whiskey companies! Make 'em pay dearly to keep their name in front of our eyeballs for 18 (!) minutes.
Jimmy DiResta you really are something else. Magnificent. Simply magnificent
Haven't picked up a chisel or hammer in over four years. Since I started watching your vids I can't stop sketching projects. This project is truly beautiful. I can nearly smell the saw dust from it. Keep bringing us these videos jimmy!!

Your abilities at such a young age leave me speechless. It takes many of us a lifetime to develop a fraction of your talent.

Mobile or not, that is one fine bar. If the local watering hole in my little town looked like that I'd visit more often.
