Another excellent video and tutorial. I’ve been a woodworker for 40+ years and learn something new all the time. Videos like yours are a prime example. I look forward to your next one. 감사합니다 Taipan Woodworks
Absolutely killed it! The American “influencer” woodworkers like to steal ideas and claim their ownership, they also just talk about tools and want you to buy their 3D printed or cnc machines jig or plans….my point is…they don’t actually ever build anything! They mainly use “woodworking” as a “content” subject and scan views/clicks and make love to their selfie sticks! I watched this entire video and could just tell! You’ve got skills and what looks like an open shop or school?! Anyway, just wanted to say keep up the master craftsmanship and no bs content! As a 1/4 Japanese over 15yr carpenter/builder just like to say hello and show my respect to someone who deserves it! Cheers my brother!
Very nice jig setup and it looks so easy to use. But as with any wood jig, I'm sure some trial and error existed until you got it all perfect. But now it is very successful to use... I have to say, I actually like finger joints (box joints) better than dove tail. But that is just me. Thumbs Up
Love your work. Very technically solid, and yet not overly complicated. With a little care and maintenance, that shelf while last a hundred years or more. I also enjoy seeing how you build and use your jigs. Very cool. Can you recommend a high quality block plane made in Japan, but available to buy from the US? Thank you either way. Peace to you from California USA.
@@HammerSound-1 Of course! But, someone's hands held that trimmer. And someone's mind came up with the whole structure and its details. Don't be too modest. 😀😀 The idea of using a trimmer is great and deserves recognition!
Amazing!!! I always said the router is a very nice tool if you know how to work with This is working with brains!!! Greets from the Netherland Your haygwai brother💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
I like this. I’ve seen a lot of woodworking videos and never seen this before. One question, why not do the entire depth on the first pass? Why come back for the second pass for depth? Is it because the length of the bit is too short?
I found your short and then watched your video. I'm glad I found it because i need to make a rectangular collar with the same finger joints. I wasn't sure how to go about it since my boards are long, like yours in the video. Looks like I need a jig like yours. Did you make the jig and do you have plans for it?
@@HammerSound-1 get someone to help you with affiliate agreements etc. there is no reason why you shouldn't benefit by sharing your incredible ideas and skill. people would buy your jigs and certainly plans for them. loved watching you assemble this. impressive and satisfying seeing all of that fit together so perfectly.
From a simple carpenter that still employs simple rabbets and dadoes, the accuracy and hand skills are a pleasure to watch.
Thank you for your kind comment. Thank you for watching.👌😌
No screws just simple but strong joints. What a brilliant design and technique.
😁👍

Absolutely stunning!
The way the dados are aligned there's no room for any wobble or movement - SOLID construction!
👌👌👌
One of the best methods I’ve seen it’s fast and accurate cheers mate
👍😌😌
Great craftsmanship. With how precise the joints were made, I'd have trusted the project to hold together without the glue
Your understanding of joinery is unmatched, thank you for teaching what you have learned.
U r the best carpenter I’ve ever seen in my life. I always watch your videos. I enjoy your videos. I don’t want to finish.

I also like the finger joints. This time I thought more about productivity.😊😊👍👍

Trop bien la technique d'assemblage, Merci.
I've made a double blind dovetale in the dark while it was raining!
A-freaking-mazing! I read korean turtle ship was built without any metal nails or screws, and this shows such thought process was considered!
The best cards from the textbook titled: "Asian School of Carpentry"!!!!

Wow. You're the best.

Прекрасная работа специалиста.
Parabéns, excelente trabalho, com se chama essa madeira que Você usa nos seus trabalhos.
No need for pocket holes , biscuits or any fasteners.
Love old school reliable dados joints and box finger joints.
Beautiful !
Slow down just a bit… you will use less bandages 😅
Very nice ideas 👍🏻
Great workmanship. Could a pair of loudspeaker boxes be built using the corner joint technique?
nice tecnique :)
Very nice. As we say here, more brain than brawn. Thanks!
The trimmer did the job.😊😊
I like this. I’ve seen a lot of woodworking videos and never seen this before. One question, why not do the entire depth on the first pass? Why come back for the second pass for depth? Is it because the length of the bit is too short?

Do you have any plans for the jig even if the plans are for sale
It's a jig with a simple principle^^. You won't even need a drawing.😊
