Loving it already, it is big and bulky, the seating position and the handle already feels comfortable. Good one RE congratulations & Best of luck.
I had Bullet 500, Forest green color, loved it, but it had a lot of vibrations after 100 kmph. After seeing this 650 twin classic, I am tempted to buy it
@paaaaritosh Have you test ridden Goldstar? I've done it two times before ordering one or myself. It has two counterbalancer shafts and it shows, no vibrations. For example you can do 70kmph in 2nd Gear and 100kmph in 3rd Gear while still be able to identify the vehicle in the rearview mirrors. Try that with RE.
I have back issues, was thinking about supermeteor as well but didn't go forward because of bad suspension. Looks like this also has a bad suspension as well .
I am in a quandary... I love the look of this bike so much!!!! ❤ I have owned the Super Meteor for 1 year and every ride gets more satisfying! I have converted to a single seat with the RE solo seat finisher and added RE Bar end mirrors. Beautiful! Every ride is perfect and love it's looks in Astral Grey! However, I feel the need to test ride this bike so much with its heritage looks and if it rides as satisfying as the Super Meteor 650 I may have challenging thoughts to trade... But have absolutely no reason to! I just love Royal Enfield Design so much and the 650 even after owning more power bikes is such an enjoyable engine!
Rishaad is the GOAT for bike reviews. No gripes with Dinshaw here, but Rishaad has a more engaging and refined way of talking that is more suited to the camera.
My oh my, surprising return of GOAT of all classic motorcycles. RE Classic Chrome in its original shade, am I dreaming?? Only 2 things are step away from me or my type of average build guy~ sheer weight & hard suspension. Otherwise, it's an emotional tribute for OG classic chrome fans!!
3:50 I think they had to strike a balance here. Since the bike has a 243 kg kerb weight, it would scrape the bottom regularly on speed breakers had the suspension been a bit softer because as it is the ground clearance is not that huge
Having gone through the reviews of all the 650s from the RE stable, it is clear that they still can't beat the handling, power to weight ratio and riding comfort of the Thunderbird 500.
Thank you for the first ride review Dinshaw. Nicely explained, interesting bike but if suspension felt harsh on those super roads means it will be a back breaker in India with our broken roads. Add to that the tube type tyres which makes it a huge turnoff. The bike looks lovely, don’t understand why RE can’t get these things right from the get go. Cheers
That RE is long gone. Now it's kind of cost cutting. Without name monogram both classic and standard looks similar today with here and there cosmetics.

My 1st bike 500 Classic Chrome. The model was vanished in thin air. I'm really glad it's back! 🥰 After huge disappointment with Shotgun, I'm really hoping to see chrome model more appealing like it used to be. Edit: Heard about the suspension and if they really changed it like you'd mentioned, it's a big drawback. Chrome 500 was as comfortable as sitting on a sofa and riding. No back ache even after non-stop one-way riding of around 800 km (my maximum "non-stop" ride so far). If this is taken away then it's bad news.
If the Classic 650 came with tubeless spoked wheels, it would be irresistible. As I've just fixed a puncture in my Classic 350, I'd go for the alloy wheeled Interceptor.
How different it is from the Desert Storm 500 CC Classic? I have a 500 CC Classic, want to upgrade it but don't want it to be a meagre change in experience.
Reminds me of Game of thrones, They do a great job in all the seasons and build huge interest Only to kill it with a last bad season. Suspension, ride comfort should be the hall marks of this Pinnacle epic model of Classic. However it sounds just contrary to expectations.

650 cc kam bikti hai India me. Overseas zyada scope hai. Isiliye foreign markets me target kar rhe. All the 350s are designed from India going out.

A spare tube is necessary even with tubeless tires If tire comes off rim on the road tubeless is no good
