I think it is strange that Rotterdam is not more popualr for European tourists, especially as a daytrip from Amsterdam. Rotterdam is simply like visiting an American city, but with more pedestrian streets and canals, and perhaps more innovative architecture then many American cities. Amsterdam-Rotterdam-The Hague-Utrecht was just a fantastic tour I did a couple of years ago!

Its 2 way, bit it has been made just wide enough for 2 cars to discourage driving and to make sure speeds are low for safety
