- Quiet early morning drive to the center of Amsterdam before heading to the airport. The Dutch, from Amsterdam, were the original settlers of New York City in 1624 on Manhattan Island. This is why New York City was originally named New Amsterdam. I wish we had 4K cameras back then. Love these Dutch! Until next time Amsterdam.
