Spamton is such a refreshing character. He's not fighting you because he's heroic, he's fighting you because your evil plans are interfering with _his_ evil plans.
It's the classic scenario of two villains working together before one inevitably double-crosses the other. He helped the player with their slaughter so he could get into the mansion, Kris sealing the fountain was *not* part of the deal.
@@diablohermano9901 With Flowey, he's perfectly fine helping you with your evil plan, until he starts wondering if he's next. At that point, it's a matter of survival.
@@InFmouseGmer-wk8in This here. Everyone's also been calling it the "True Genocide", "Evil", and "Weird" routes. @@hyrowy8800 Snowgrave is best. It's not really a genocide route and it would be confused with all the people fighting all the enemies saying genocide route
I don't see a lot of people talk about how raw Spamton's lines sound while Kris is calling for help. Like he's really speaking from experience, because after he lost it all he called and called for help as well. Nobody came for him. When he sees Kris at this point, it's like he's talking to a mirror.
@@abritnamedsethinnitI think it’s more that DLC is (supposed to) be optional and not important to the base games play and plot, so Spamtons saying you’re treating him as unimportant even though he’s a Big Shot now
just realized a genocide route isn't possible in chapter 1 since all the enemies flee when defeated you are literally using noelle to bypass that fact and kill everyone anyway via freezing them
"You think making [Frozen Chicken] with your [Side Chick] is gonna let you drink up that [sweet, sweet] [Freedom Sauce]?" Why does that line just feel so quotable? XD
@@chosenone8456 Because at that time Frisk (lv.15) was too strong. MTT NEO even let them attack first and no matter his def is 99 or 0, he still dies except if he knows how to dodge.
His whole design is neo, from what I can tell, from the wings to his blaster on his right hand. Toby is really good at making the player feel bad, regardless of who they are, you feel like your actions are real and you just feel like a piece of shit after doing the genocide routes
I actually feel like Deltarune makes this feeling of guilt better than Undertale itself, now that you not only control one character (let alone the fact that the others SPEAK and REACT to your actions) the feeling of misery in Deltarune is way bigger now that you have other people and side characters that the game just *doesn't* allow you to kill, i genuinely felt horrible seeing the queen sad when getting to the town, realizing that all of the people she used to rule over are now gone cuz of *you* , getting rid of her purpose as a queen and dragging her into your own actions of having nobody there, i will feel so bad if in chapter 3 you can *use* toriel for this sort of stuff
I like how even if chapter one tried to hammer it in that "your choices don't matter," we still see that it does. Even if it isn't obvious at first, the choices you make will still affect the fate of the characters around you and how they perceive you. I can't wait to see how this further plays out in future chapters, because its clear that it'll get worse over time
@@turanksu4033 I mean I suppose so yeah, I don't doubt the ending may be the same regardless. Though the fact that we can at least influence things through our actions somewhat is really interesting to say the least. I'm really excited for what Toby has planned
I think he changed his mind. There's probably no longer only 1 ending, since the Steam page was updated to say "... only 1 ending...?" I think after making Noelle's attacks Toby realized frozen enemies can't run away, so they actually die. At that point he probably changed his mind and added this route.
Spamton clearly knows more than he lets on. Why would he sell you the Thorn Ring, a ring made SPECIFICALLY so its easier for Noelle to use the IceShock (and later, SnowGrave) spell, only to try and stop you later on? I think one possible theory lies in what is basically his catchphrase: *Big Shot.* I think by making it easier for you, the player, to commit genocide by using Noelle as a proxy to do so by freezing everything (and killing Berdley with SnowGrave), he can eventually take over the castle. He can be known as the one who defeated not just Queen, but also the person who is supposedly freezing and killing all the others. He's looking for his own chance to be a *big shot* and you're that chance. Which is why he challenges you alone. He can defeat you, take the ring, and basically claim he brought an end to the evils. He didn't expect you to be tough on your own, nor did he expect Noelle to actually be listening at the end to use SnowGrave. He's so far gone he's willing to enable you to take as far as you can go with a Genocide route for his own 15 minutes of fame, but little does he know how his actions have drastically changed the story.
Even in the pacifist route you can see that Spamton wants to rule over everyone. He gave you the ring to make things easier for him. He even says in the in battle dialogue he sold that ring for the purpose of Noelle killing people.
we thought we were manipulating noelle but in reality spamton was manipulating us to manipulate noelle. in the end our choices didnt matter spamtons did tho lmao
i like how spamton swears a lot in this route. sure its censored but you can tell what hes trying to say anyway, unless youre innocent enough. i dunno why it amuses me so much, i just find it funny when characters swear in these types of games in general
When Spamton straight out says "your really are trying to keep using *her* " Makes me feel like the worst piece of trash in this planet. *And I haven't play this route at all, my save file is a complete pacifist completion.*
This specific fight makes the connections between neo and mettaton even more clear specifically at the "Wreck" and "Spew" parts of the fight, its extremely similar to Mettaton's Record and Rewind attacks
@@power_of_neo Thats probably never going to happen. That would make the genocide run way to unfair. Theres nothing between Mettaton Neo and Sans, that could help us, and the Items in Snowdin don't heal much at this point. Any good healing items are probably used in the Mettaton fight, wich would make the fight against Sans especially for new players even harder.
I really do love Spamton standing up to you in this fight specifically because he has no heroic reason. It's simply because he is living out the capitalist dream, and wants to stop you from ripping that away after you seal the dark fountain
It just occurred to me… Kris has 0 Magic. Literally, as a stat. Spamton commenting about this because “you lost it when you tried to see too far” is… interesting.
That's what I think happened to Jevil too. They tried to gain power/knowledge that they weren't supposed to. And it didn't end up well for them. Kris may be able to escape those fates due to him being a Lightner though.
5:57 To me, the reason why Spamton sounds so utterly enraged is because he KNOWS what it feels like to have and lose friends, so even though he isn't interested in friendship anymore, he still has an understanding of how important someone's trust is. Which is why he gets so furious, he knows that "Kris"(It's basically The Player, but Spamton doesn't know that) has taken Noelle's trust and abused it to hell and back, utterly destroying her mentally and emotionally; and even after all that, "Kris" still has the audacity to call for help from the friendships they destroyed, which makes Spamton sick. Obviously, Spamton ain't innocent, he still provided the Thorn Ring, and instructed "Kris" on what to do, but this is my headcanon on why he's so angry at this moment
i think it's more that he's been in the same situation were he was left alone and was calling for his lost friends constantly. it's kinda like speaking to himself in the mirror
It is, pretty much. Spamton is fighting Kris because if the fountain is sealed, he would have nothing to rule over. (Or maybe he would die? I'm not sure what happens when a fountain is sealed with a darkner still inside).
hey can we talk about how he addresses kris by name multiple times in the pacifist route but never once in the snowgrave route? do y'all think that means he's talking directly to the player (or whatever he thinks is controlling kris)?
@@coleomantenforty8747 Kris actually goes by they/them, and like Moltz said, Spamton just figures it out on his own. Much like Jevil he's been driven to insanity but unlike them, he seems to know about the player as well, directly addressing us several times during the snowgrave AND pacifist route at times. Either he knows Kris's name from someone else telling him, or he has knowledge of the games files or the player's actions considering like what Ralsei said he's a "corrupted program".
I'm so happy that Toby put him as a genocide boss, this feels like he regrets not making Mettaton Neo an actual boss, so he put him in deltarune instead. 1v1 like in Undertale
if i know right, Mettaton NEO was meant to be a real fight, but Toby had to scrap it off because he didn't want two bosses right after each other as the players wouldn't have any healing items left.

Don't think that's supposed to be Gaster's laughter, just a little easter egg put in by Toby to scare dataminers. In every game there's some hidden thing poking fun at them.
spamton does have some weird connections with gaster and his followers, like, when you talk with the last ad he talks about the phone in spamton room that was ringing but when he pick it up he just hears "garbadge noise", the same description you get when you try using your phone in the dark world, with implies that spamton call comes from the real world, spamton also have a G in his full name (spamton G. spamton) and he having a ring that makes you able to control the one wearing it, just some thinking of mine
@@Legomilho Only thing wrong with this is that last part about having a ring that lets you control someone. It doesn't do that. It uses pain to make the wearer stronger. We could always control Noelle because we, as the player, have a HUGE influence on her (for some reason, unexplained.) It's also worth mentioning that she is not wearing the ring in the Light World, but can still hear OUR "horrifying" voice. (see genocide route hospital scene)

By the way very interesting dialogue at the end. It says and I quote: "Kris called for help... but nobody came" But what happens when we call noelle? It says: "YOU whispered Noelle's name." Not Kris, YOU.
THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENCEE, in the hospital scene she says it isn't them (Kris) anymore for some reason, it's a creepy voice, and kris can't hear noelle's thoughts, YOU can, that's why you answer for them.
Funny. In the Mettaton NEO fight, there was only one line of narration. "Stage lights are blaring." And in this fight, we have this. *"Stage lights are broken."* The evidence that Spamton NEO's body, and to an extent maybe even Spamton, are related to Mettaton keeps growing, seriously, at this rate I'll have to make a compilation.
The NEO body is described as being the abandoned dream of a Lightner. I can imagine this world's Mettaton, in the dead of night, going to the Library's computer room and designing the dream body he always wanted to have... and at the end of it, giving up and deciding it's not worth it, closing it and sending the file to the computer's trash bin. And there, it gets discovered by a certain scavenging spam program.
Spamton and Mettaton aren't related. However the tech behind both characters new body and powers are related. The creator. Maybe a Lightner or Gaster (back when he was a Lightner maybe)
Spamton and Mettaton aren't related. But the NEO forms are one and the same. In Deltarune it's the unfinished dream of a ghost girl that wants to be a robot boy, But in Undertale it's the grand finale of a robot boy faced with an unstoppable nightmare.
@@hollandbittick6603 You forget who made Mettaton in the first place, Alphys. And we know for sure she exists in this world. It was her dream to have a robot so she drew up a design and threw it away.
Happastablook, having the "Robot boy" dream, she drew up the rough sketch of mettaton neo,but after she got close to finishing it,she went:you know what? Never mind....and deleted the file, which spamton would later use for his own gain.
I just realized something about snow grave , this is the only route where spamton dosent ask you to find the empty disk for him. Now why would that be ? Well simple because in snow grave there's nothing stopping him from doing it himself, Noelle froze most of the enemies , in other words any opposition to spamton sneaking into the castle and becoming neo by himself has been removed. Allowing him to take over without any opposition as you removed it.
@Shadow Dream Swatch and the Swatchlings in the mansion weren't actually frozen by Noelle. Rouxls turned into a statue right in front of the cafe door, trapping them inside.
His sentences make a little more sense here, not as goofy and wacky like the normal path. You can actually understand what this guy is saying this time.
Everyone is sane compared to the player in this route Maybe though, the player can understand him now because you've reached his level. Your just as violent as him meaning your quite literally speaking his language now.
This fight is significantly harder because it's just you during the fight. >Without Ralsei, you lack temporary shields to protect yourself. >Without Susie, you don't have the option to charge your shots faster, which can get problematic >Since it's just you, TP doesn't raise as quickly on average, which can be a problem if you have to rely on Fried Pipis due to running out of healing items. >With all of the attacks concentrated on just you rather than being more distributed, you'll find yourself losing health must faster. At least there is the high damaging X-Slash that makes up for the fact that only Kris can attack.
Just finished this fight, and MAN, I hope the future chapters do a similar thing (regular optional fight for the normal route, hard version/only Kris if you take an alt route).
The player corrupting Kris's other classmates sounds interesting. Hmm ok so since all classmates are in pairs(besides temmie). Maybe Monster kid kills snowdrake Jockington kills Catty's sister Etc etc Then the player fights the secret boss at the end of each route.
Yes, they somehow realized they're characters in a game, and no matter what they or us do, the ending never changes. An interesting fact is that during the last battle of the Weird Route, Spamton says this: "YOU THINK MAKING [Frozen Chicken] WITH YOUR [Side Chick] IT'S GONNA LET YOU DRINK UP THAT [Sweet, Sweet][Freedom Sauce]? WELL YOU'RE [$!$!] RIGHT!" I think Spamton is speaking directly to the player here. In order to feel free, we need to feel like our choices are capable of changing the course of the story, that's why we felt the urge to complete this route on the first place, but at the cost of totally messing up Noelle and Berdly, we neglected the way the game was supposed to be, we pushed the limits of it and threw away a happy ending just to feel free. I read a comment of someone saying that this route feels like an error, a glitch, like something that's not supposed to happen, and I believe they are on point on that.
The end of this fight is by far the creepiest part of the entire route to me. You’re facing the most powerful combatant in this world: a hyper-aware lunatic with a nigh indestructible body and reality altering abilities. Yet here we are, silently beckoning forth the unwilling weapon that we had spent a good while grooming and sharpening. Suddenly, the air gets cold, everything goes dark, and our unstoppable opponent is wiped out in an instant. We have the grim reaper itself on a leash. At our discretion, we can deliver to anyone a slow, cold, and painful death. And no one can stop it. It is inevitable.
I think queen with her giant robot is stronger than Spamton neo. I mean, yes Spamton can make his body pretty durable the fact that kris's attacks barely scratches him even if they were stronger compared to theirselves in the normal route. But queen has a building sized robot the fact that she would smash kris, susie and ralsei at once with her hand move even at her robot being in a broken state if they wouldn't transformed into another giant robot. And yes, we really made noelle a monster in this route, didn't we? We can even see how she dealed over 2k damage to spamton when kris was just deal 5 to 10 damage to him (with his towered defence)
And here's the real kicker: Noelle could kill you. Noelle could very easily kill you any time she wants. If she ever turned her power on you, you'd be obliterated in an instant. Yet she won't. Because for all her insane power, you've fooled her into believing she needs you. That you care about her. That all this is just to make her stronger.
tips: -during his "Face" attack, try taking out the mouth first. you can use the eye and nose projectiles to get more TP. -in his first attack (the one with the blue faces), when there's two rows of heads, knock out only one row, you can use the other row to help gain TP for X-Slash -Use [[BIG SHOT]] as much as possible -during the post-fight Pipis section, stay in the middle and spam your regular attack
Just dropping this: After Bredly Last Fight, Noelle doesn't want to do ANYTHING of this. But, she will, not because she wants to be stronger, is because that damn ring (The ThornRing) is forcing her to do so. The rings has the side effect TRANCE, meaning that, well, Noelle, is being forced to do anything we want her to do, probably meaning that this alternate route will play a bigger rol in futures chapter (maybe even changing the ending, perhaps?...... oh, right, deltarune will just have "1....ending?...." right?)
I think the Trance passive is the effect that cuts TP use in half. Meanwhile, the real reason why Noelle listens to Genocide Kris no matter what is because... well, she's simply just a terrified little pushover. On Pacifist, she even says that she feels like Pacifist Kris is 'the only person she feels she can say "no" to.' She's just an emotionally-vulnerable fawn. Genocide route exploits that.
@@Rhino1004 i get you, but no, the genocide route exploits Noelle UNTIL the berdly fight happens, after that, all the choices of Noelle are being controlled by us. Not because she can't say no to kris, is because she is forced to do it. as an example of this, after the first "phase" of Spamton Neo in the alternate route, when we call our friends, Kris calls both, Ralsei and Susie, but when we are calling Noelle, the game says YOU whispered Noelle for help. and, she doesn't even think twice and did the deal, killing Spamton in 1 hit. Yes, Noelle is traumatized, but this doesn't influence her actions. it was not Kris who called for help, it was YOU, as the player, who called for help, and is YOU, who put the ThornsRing with the trance effect to make her do Snowgrave. she is being controlled now, by the player, not kris, by Us
@@Aleja_-bb7hi The main hole with this theory is that Noelle actively resists trying to cast SnowGrave, even with ThornRing equipped. After the player breaks through that last piece of resistance and kills Berdley, that primarily suggests that she's been deeply traumatized into a dependent relationship, rather than "oh look, the ring is working on her now." Nah. Her submission is entirely because of the player abusing Noelle, from start to finish. Explaining everything as "magic did it!" is a lazy theory, anyways.
@@Rhino1004 i get your point. altought i think the ring has some fault in noelle's Actions. to me, it seems that she was trying to resist this control over her, but, in the end, because of how we abuse of her, she ended having 0 control of her actions, and now, she is our "Peon". maybe the ring didn't fully make her to obey us, but i think it was the last step, at least. btw, ik that "magic did it" it's kinda lazy, but, it's deltarune. the fact that she is being forced to do it because of the ring may be true, or may be not. it's like the theory about gaster being the one behind Jevil and Spamton. it's lazy to not think anything more because, well, all the proofs we have points to gaster. but not because is "lazy", means that the theory may not be true. after all, some answers may be in front of our eyes, but we refuse to see it. my point is, yeah, is lazy, but not because is lazy means that it cannot be true
I feel like it's very significant that the game explicitly says Kris calls for help from Ralsei and Susie, but once Noelle's option appears it reads *You whispered Noelle's name. Not Kris, but seemingly the player. Makes sense considering the whole route is essentially the player's choice.
Imagine seeing everyone you care about die by your hands because someone controls your every move and the second you get the slightest magain of freedom, the one thing you do turns out to be completely pointless, because your uncontrolled actions drove your friends away
An interesting detail that not many people talk about is the text that appears on the bottom left of the screen during Spamton's specil NEO attack that says "🔴WRECK/SPEW". It's obviously a reference to Mettaton EX's Record and Reverse attack but what's interesting about it is that it only appears during the Pipis Route's version of the Spamton NEO fight. It's absent during the Regular Route Spamton NEO fight.
During the Berdley fight whenever Kris gets knocked down Berdley urges Noelle to rush to his side since he's down and it's safe but she hesitates because she "can still hear their voice". It would seem she can hear Kris/The Player's voice no matter where they are so during the part where she takes down Spamton, she comes at the simple mutter of her name
Take the part where Kris tries calling friends. With Ralsei and Susie, it says”Kris called for help.” But for Noelle it says”You whispered Noelle’s name.” YOU, as in, you the PLAYER. Kris isn’t the one commanding her, it’s YOU.

For Suzie and Ralsei : Kris called for help... but nobody came. For Noelle : YOU whispered Noelle's name. So another argument about that weird voice being the player's one.
I like how in this route, Spamton made the player grovel for help and the "nobody came" message made the player feel like the consequences caught up to us, and what's gonna happen now? Something that in Undertale Geno route you wouldn't even think about a possibility like that.
After first trying Spamton NEO original pacifist and then only dying once when trying to deplete his HP, I went for an itemless kill on the regular one both ACT and FIGHT. Wasn't that hard - less than 10 deaths overall. So I went into this version of the fight itemless from the start. ...over an hour of attempts leading to me having to go to bed for the night before I've beaten him later, I think I'm regretting that decision.
I encountered this guy first before the pacifist one, in fact, i haven't played the pacifist one yet This one took me about an hour and in the last attack I survived with 4HP, is the pacifist fight that much easier?
In the basement, you get to face him with your whole team. His damage stays the same. This means one mistake causing you to get hit maybe 3 times in the snowgrave run will get you killed instantly, while in regular it'll likely just hit 3 different people and force you to use a Clubs Sandwich. Oh yeah, and speaking of items...your choice of healing items is far better on regular - you can grab the teas for 120 heals or the Butler Wine for 100 heals, and you can use ReviveMints to get fallen characters back up at full health instantly. Compare that to Snowgrave, where the shops being shut means you could come in with one TopCake from Chapter 1, and otherwise your best healing items are the 80 HP CD Bagels. This means getting hit can lead to you losing tempo and getting stuck healing for several rounds in a row. Your available armors are also greatly diminished as well, though this means less as you only need to fill up 2 armor slots for Kris, and if you were careful and took the RoyalPin from Noelle before she left the team, that plus the Jevilstail from Chapter 1 makes your best armor items for the fight in terms of stats. Of course, the watch and the Pink Ribbon are also great, so you should consider those as well, but I'd say those existing makes the basement fight easier, as having them on only 1 party member will compromise your stats of 1 of your 3 characters while giving the full benefits to everyone in the team, while your equipment slots are a lot more precious when it's only you in the fight. You also get access to the special magics Supercharge and FluffBarrier, the former making your next 20 charge shots charge almost instantly, and the latter giving you 2 spinning barriers that can block 1 bullet each. The only saving grace is that Kris has increased attack power in this fight solo - but if you have the Ragger2 which makes Ralsei as strong as Kris as an attacker and Susie's autoaxe (or even the Devil's Knife from chapter 1) attacking will end up depleting Spamton's HP far faster with a full team, especially if you start taking into account having 3 people attacking generates TP far faster, letting you throw out many RudeBusters compared to the relatively low amount of Cross Slashes you'll get to use from natural TP generation for Kris solo. At least timing the swings for 1 character is easier than doing it for 3, I guess? Other than that, your HP might be a factor - Kris has to have 158 HP minimum for the Snowgrave version of the fight, but will probably be at 160. If you went full pacifist, your team will have 120, 140, 100 as their HP values for the basement version of the fight. However, I'm not counting this, because you can freely FIGHT through the whole game and get to 160 180 140 HP on your team and fight him with that setup in the basement.
@@lefthandedscout9923 Nice! Seems like I had the lowest stats possible, 158 HP, shit armor (I was doing snowgrave blind run, yknow, for the story) No save file from Ch 1 and an average weapon The way I beat him was applying Geometry Dash logic and firstly mechanizing every one of his attacks in order to do a no-hit run of sorts so I could focus on gaining TP In my first turn I'd just use my TensionBit and onwards I'd use ONLY X-Slashes, if i didn't have enough TP for one I'd defend to have enough next turn Even this way I didn't guarantee victory since there were attacks later down the fight I hadn't mechanized Eventually I learned which attacks were coming before I ended my turn, there's a clear pattern if you attack every turn, so if I knew an attack that I couldn't survive was coming, I'd defend to take less damage Even then I wasted the least amount of turns doing anything that isn't an X-Slash, so by the end of the fight my inventory still had plenty of CD Bagels since I just used them at the last stretch to survive the attacks I didn't learn I came up with this on the spot and... Yeah, it worked, took me less than an hour, was super satisfying to pull off

The way that the screen doesn’t turn back after turning black and spamton being frozen, and the heart just floats up and seals the fountain with no music genuinely gives me chills.
Im excited to see if in chapter 6 or 7 all of the secret hidden bosses team up and if you beat them all before then some alternate ending opens up or something, would be very cool for the people who like to find secrets
To think that Jevil could've also done this But thing is we're the ones trapped and he cannot reach to us without the door being opened Wait, what if you open the door but never fight him
I didn't realise the screaming for help and broken home was about his own experience about the phone stopping talking before I read the shopkeepers dialogue.
"Go ahead and scream into the receiver. The voice runs out eventually. Your voice. Their voice. Until you realize you're all alone" Toby did not fuck around here
One thing that I find terrifying about Spamton is when the telephone starts firing at him, which reminds me of that weird clay figure looking Nerd that was with the amalgamates and had a spray painted picture in the alleyway with Alphys. Those butterflies that engulf that creature haunt me. It just reminds me of insanity, a mind ripped into screams. A mind that barely holds on to anything.
A thing I just realized is that Spamton mentioned that he had 8k healthpoints once in the basement bossfight. Noelle's snow grave deals around 2k damage to him. Maybe he just gets stunned long enough for Kris to destroy the fountain.
after the fight ends you get puppetscarf aka spamton himself so he isn't frozen nor dead so we don't know what happened to him after noelle attacks him
I really love how it says "YOU whispered Noelle's name's...", heading towards YOU, the ONE that made Kris goes the Snowgrave route. YOU are the one who did all of the bad things, from corrupting people to do stuff for you, to actually freeze-killing Berdly with Snowgrave. It's because YOU, not Kris himself. This just shows how dedicated Toby is.
I actually like this "back to roots" thing with harder bosses in genocide/evil/dark runs like with sans or Undyne the Undying. Would be cool if it was also part of the chapter one where Jevil comes to rescue his king cuz he is royal jester.
I was actually confused to see Spamton's desperation move at first, I had Kris equipped with a the Iron Shakle and was dealing high damage to him, so I ended up lowering him enough before he could ever get a chance to use it. I never fought Neo in a normal route and did the Snowgrave route first, didn't even know you could fight him with Ralsei and Susie.
It's pretty easy to bypass his desperation move in a snowgrave run as it's only performed at a certain HP threshold (like 20% or lower I think) ; one that X-Slash or even a properly timed normal attack can get through. Not to mention that Spamton's defense is literally -27 in snowgrave.
So, I read something about the snow grave route and it talks about how there are 6 children in the class (excluding Kris and Susie) and how there are 7 chapters in Deltarune. 1st chapter, nothing happens, 2nd chapter, snowgrave route basically kills Berdly, leaving 5 children, and 5 chapters remaining. We all know where the snowgrave route is going.
I love how this has some sounds of boss fights and other music in undertale and maybe some deltarune (ex: undyne in genocide I think, napstablook, jevil, probably more) and at some points has mechanics like mettatons fight
There's 3 ways to fight him. 2 in the basement where you can cut his strings or dzpletes his hp. And 1 at the fontain if you did a "genocide" with Noelle
It can be the same but the main thing is that once Noelle joins you you should go back to the trash zone and interact with spamton's door. this video is much better at explaining, ua-cam.com/video/rIFzcrDr5Fs/v-deo.html
there are basically three routes in this game: spare all the enemies, fight the enemies or go through a more complicated series of decisiosn that leads to noelle murdering berdley and Queen being overthrown as Spamton takes over the cyber world
_"GO [Ga-ga] AND [Die]"_ my favourite line next to _"TO [F%"K] ME OVER RIGHT AT THE [Good part]? WHAT ARE YOU, A [Gameshow Host]!?"_ spamton is an awesome character, snowgrave is such a wacky route, and to think we all thought it was fake when it was discovered. Incredible plays!!!!
I noticed a very... interesting detail during the post-fight sequence. When you call for help from Ralsei, the in-game text says "Kris called for help." However, when you call on Noelle, the in-game text now reads "You whispered Noelle's name." Emphasis on "You"
this makes me think that noelle will have a role in chapter 3 genocide. if we, as the SOUL controlling kris can whisper noelle's name and have them run towards us, it's very possible that we managed to get in her head, and can effectively turn them into a puppet. we know that her genocidal tendencies didnt dissapear when she left the dark world cause she tries using iceshock on the ice palace if you visit her in the snowgrave route at the hospital. combine that with us as the players talking to her (from us giving a response to her thinking to herself) you have a pretty good chance she'll make a return eventually. they wouldnt build all that up just for it to end, after all side note, susie and ralsei also get stronger when killing so it's possible they too could turn to liking it.
When I first came across this boss I thought that this was the only version of the Spamton NEO fight. I kept getting my ass kicked because I thought I would just learn the patterns because of that, but then I looked at the internet and my soul crushed
It's cool to have a genocide fight where you're not fighting someone who is trying to stop your bad actions, but instead fighting someone who is acting for their own self interests. Two villains fighting to see who gets what is left. Lol, I guess they're both fighting to be a Big Shot.
It's strange how in the end of the match (6:28), Ice spell was casted. -But Noelle wasn't there or even have yellow damage text on the boss.- *(Explained below in the edit)* Does that mean Kris inherited Noelle's spell? Or was it by force by teleporting her there just to save Kris? Edit: Via the new update, now It correctly shows yellow text during the final hit(s). Just like during the FreezeRing and the Mouse puzzle sequence, Black screen, then Noelle casts a spell off screen.
Offscreen freeze by Noelle. You whisper her name, Spamton makes fun of you for thinking she'll show up to save you, and then she immediately shows up to save you.
i noticed alot of the dark stuff with noelle happens off screen (taking the freeze ring from the npc, and forcing her through the mouse puzzle), and she seems to have no memory of it, only freezing berdly wasnt cut like that, i wonder if that was the player straight up possesing her or something in which case it would be your damage numbers
@@brandonwithnell612 Yeah, I was about to mention about the loss of memory post-FreezeRing. My theory is when Noelle encountered Berdly, it actually snapped out of her senses (Except during the SnowGrave move). If Berdly would've shut his mouth or Noelle didn't realizes him, Berdly would've been frozen regardless.

I think after making Noelle's attacks Toby realized frozen enemies can't run away, so they actually die.

@@comfy88338 Eh, doubt it, having Sans RIGHT after an incredibly hard fight seems a bit too much.
It freaks me out how he seems much more sane in this route.
His sentences make a little more sense here, not as goofy and wacky like the normal path. You can actually understand what this guy is saying this time.
Everyone is sane compared to the player in this route
Maybe though, the player can understand him now because you've reached his level. Your just as violent as him meaning your quite literally speaking his language now.

How the hell did I read that as "*sans*"
This fight is significantly harder because it's just you during the fight.
>Without Ralsei, you lack temporary shields to protect yourself.
>Without Susie, you don't have the option to charge your shots faster, which can get problematic
>Since it's just you, TP doesn't raise as quickly on average, which can be a problem if you have to rely on Fried Pipis due to running out of healing items.
Maybe
Monster kid kills snowdrake
Jockington kills Catty's sister
Etc etc
Then the player fights the secret boss at the end of each route.

Yes, they somehow realized they're characters in a game, and no matter what they or us do, the ending never changes. An interesting fact is that during the last battle of the Weird Route, Spamton says this:
"YOU THINK MAKING [Frozen Chicken] WITH YOUR [Side Chick] IT'S GONNA LET YOU DRINK UP THAT [Sweet, Sweet][Freedom Sauce]? WELL YOU'RE [$!$!] RIGHT!"
I think Spamton is speaking directly to the player here.
This whole route feels like a creepypasta
@@heitorzincleiton5071 it really only needed to end with a blood eyes hyper realistic spamton threatening you at the credits or something
Yes it is magnificent isn’t it😈
@@doughboy_m2 Shiver me timbers
If noelle was fighting neo spamton instead of kris it would take her 3 hits
tips:
-during his "Face" attack, try taking out the mouth first. you can use the eye and nose projectiles to get more TP.
-in his first attack (the one with the blue faces), when there's two rows of heads, knock out only one row, you can use the other row to help gain TP for X-Slash
-Use [[BIG SHOT]] as much as possible
-during the post-fight Pipis section, stay in the middle and spam your regular attack
On Pacifist, she even says that she feels like Pacifist Kris is 'the only person she feels she can say "no" to.'
She's just an emotionally-vulnerable fawn.
After the player breaks through that last piece of resistance and kills Berdley, that primarily suggests that she's been deeply traumatized into a dependent relationship, rather than "oh look, the ring is working on her now."
Nah. Her submission is entirely because of the player abusing Noelle, from start to finish. Explaining everything as "magic did it!" is a lazy theory, anyways.
@@Rhino1004 i get your point. altought i think the ring has some fault in noelle's Actions. to me, it seems that she was trying to resist this control over her, but, in the end, because of how we abuse of her, she ended having 0 control of her actions, and now, she is our "Peon". maybe the ring didn't fully make her to obey us, but i think it was the last step, at least.
btw, ik that "magic did it" it's kinda lazy, but, it's deltarune. the fact that she is being forced to do it because of the ring may be true, or may be not. it's like the theory about gaster being the one behind Jevil and Spamton. it's lazy to not think anything more because, well, all the proofs we have points to gaster. but not because is "lazy", means that the theory may not be true. after all, some answers may be in front of our eyes, but we refuse to see it.
my point is, yeah, is lazy, but not because is lazy means that it cannot be true
especially since bredly never wakes up...
I feel like it's very significant that the game explicitly says Kris calls for help from Ralsei and Susie, but once Noelle's option appears it reads *You whispered Noelle's name.
Not Kris, but seemingly the player. Makes sense considering the whole route is essentially the player's choice.
Oh, good catch, didn't notice that
Imagine seeing everyone you care about die by your hands because someone controls your every move and the second you get the slightest magain of freedom, the one thing you do turns out to be completely pointless, because your uncontrolled actions drove your friends away
[Total jackass stunts]
Dang, this dude is not wrong.
goes from a minor, optional, bizarre foe in the main game...to taking over the big bad spot after helping the player go down the dark side

I encountered this guy first before the pacifist one, in fact, i haven't played the pacifist one yet
This one took me about an hour and in the last attack I survived with 4HP, is the pacifist fight that much easier?
Seems like I had the lowest stats possible, 158 HP, shit armor (I was doing snowgrave blind run, yknow, for the story) No save file from Ch 1 and an average weapon
The way I beat him was applying Geometry Dash logic and firstly mechanizing every one of his attacks in order to do a no-hit run of sorts so I could focus on gaining TP
In my first turn I'd just use my TensionBit and onwards I'd use ONLY X-Slashes, if i didn't have enough TP for one I'd defend to have enough next turn
Even this way I didn't guarantee victory since there were attacks later down the fight I hadn't mechanized
Eventually I learned which attacks were coming before I ended my turn, there's a clear pattern if you attack every turn, so if I knew an attack that I couldn't survive was coming, I'd defend to take less damage
Even then I wasted the least amount of turns doing anything that isn't an X-Slash, so by the end of the fight my inventory still had plenty of CD Bagels since I just used them at the last stretch to survive the attacks I didn't learn

I noticed a very... interesting detail during the post-fight sequence. When you call for help from Ralsei, the in-game text says "Kris called for help." However, when you call on Noelle, the in-game text now reads "You whispered Noelle's name."
Emphasis on "You"
this makes me think that noelle will have a role in chapter 3 genocide.
if we, as the SOUL controlling kris can whisper noelle's name and have them run towards us, it's very possible that we managed to get in her head, and can effectively turn them into a puppet.
we know that her genocidal tendencies didnt dissapear when she left the dark world cause she tries using iceshock on the ice palace if you visit her in the snowgrave route at the hospital.
combine that with us as the players talking to her (from us giving a response to her thinking to herself) you have a pretty good chance she'll make a return eventually.
they wouldnt build all that up just for it to end, after all
side note, susie and ralsei also get stronger when killing so it's possible they too could turn to liking it.
