Great tutorial, but I wanted to share a couple of key tips based on my experience for those new to growing bean sprouts at home. First, soak your mung beans for just 8-12 hours. Soaking them longer can potentially affect the germination process and may lead to issues like fermentation, which isn't ideal for healthy sprouting. Second, ensure you drain the beans well after each rinse and avoid letting the roots sit in water, as this can cause rotting and spoilage. Proper drainage is crucial for preventing contamination and achieving healthy, white roots. These steps made a big difference in my sprouting success. Hope this helps others too. Happy sprouting!
I soak 24 hours and after I rinse 2 time a day , morning and before going to bed . And it's ready on day 5 ! I Do that for so many decades, never failed and you can keep in the fridge 5/7 days if you do the right way and there going to be has good and fresh , crispy and delicious since the first day !!!
Do you find that soaking for that length of time (24 whole hours!) lead to fermentation of your batches? 8 hour soaking is more than enough to get the sprouting process started 🤔
I will definitely follow your procedure on how to grow bean sprout! It looks easy enough...can't wait to eat fresh, clean organic bean sprouts soon. New friend here from Texas, USA 🇺🇸.
I have started for a couple of days. They absorb water really fast. Once I'm back to home, I'm hurry to water them instead of drinking water for thirsty myself. 😁 For growing such little lives, it's just alike to work out wonders, the 8th wonder of the world. 😅🤣
Great handy video! Thank you. But how do you store them? I've just harvested mine and thinking of different ways to store the harvest in a fresher state. I don't want to freeze all of them, but I need them to last for a month. Can you recommend something?
I found another video where I think the lady stored it in water in the fridge and it lasted about a month. Search for it on UA-cam. I need to find again. I don’t want to keep making such small batches
I found out that they sprouted but sooooo thin!!! The stem were so tiny!!! How can we make them more robust??? When cooked, they were TOUGH too!!!Thank you!😊
Thank you so much, I just tried before watching this video n failed as I didn't wash as often as u did, my roots were too long n sprouts short, also some got rotten n smelled. Now I will follow your style n see.
depends on climate, in damp climate youll need to rinse several times a day, in hot dry climate yoy can get away with twice a day, OR you can adjust the amount of cloth (even remove it altogheter to reduce moisture, cause is excess moisture wich causes fungi and rotting), i only place a damp cloth on top (nothing at the bottom) and rinse every 12 hours for estelar results
Wow! ang galing nq baby mo kumain ng fresh ba or blanched togge?.. Sorry pô,medyo na confuse lang, how many days do we need to water in every 3 hrs? Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry if i wrote it in our filipino language. I said, i admire your daughter eating this kind of veggies. did you blanched it or you make the salad in raw?
Be-careful with the water you are using. Bean sprout can make you really sick if the water is contaminated. Either from too much metals or foreign stuff or treatments-additives from city water and even like some fertilizers. *NOTE:* Use Spring Water or Reverse Osmosis best.

No water there.. just water it the whole sprouts every after 3 to 4 hours if posible. Regularly rinse off the store water from the bottom to avoid bad smell.

Avoid sun light, so they grow steadily without reaching out too much
They needed more water from rinsing and a slightly more humid and/or warm temperature for that.. also depends on the age of the seeds as well
You need to put something heavy on top of them. They grow thicker that way.
Its great & very simple.
Thanks from sri lanka
Thank you ❤️

You don't sleep at night .... every three hours water?
Do you water it every 3 hours every day for 5 days ??
Do we need to water it every 3 hours from 1st day to the final day?? Also do we have to keep the pot of water on the sprouts till the harvesting day??
For the best results you need to water it but it's depends on weather too if it is not too hot you can water it 3 time a days and 1 or 2 time at night
@kipuakitchen7818 thank you for the reply ❤️

Everyday, Till you harvest. Thanks for watching. Best of luck. 😊
