    My first ar is a Ruger 556 and can’t complain. But my .308 build from aero is really impressive. I’ve worked in the calibration industry for over ten years and when aero space companies know what they are doing, it shows. Now I know why their products are amazing. Precision engineering is key to success. I’m proud to slap that aero sticker inside the man cave, Great job by aero.

    I’ve recently finished my first AR-15 build. I used an Aero Precision upper and lower in FDE cerakote with matching Atlas R-One 15” FDE hand guard over an 18” white oak SPR 1/7 rifle length gas barrel. FDE Magpul furniture with STR stock.
    It is one sweet looking rifle.
    **Note**For accuracy purpose I used a low profile clamp on gas block and had to use a grinder with flap disk wheel to help it clear the atlas R-one hand guard. They are very slim!!!

    Very interesting to see the automated electronic gauge measurements are in place to ensure that all parts are within spec and the that CNC machinery is within its control group. Without a doubt Aero Precision is best made, most reliable AR rifle in the firearms industry. You can pay more, but you will not get any better rifle anywhere. Would love to see them come out with an MP 5 enhanced clone.

But I caught an aero m4e1 upper lower combo on sale for a so called budget build and for the money and killer looks, My so called budget aero build is my new top line favorite! I plan on building another one on a 10.5 in the near future .

      Spikes makes great products! I do like the look of the M4E1 receivers though over the standard forged AR15 receiver. That said, the lowers designed by Sharps Bros. are super legit!

    • @leannaburnell1745

      I don't think Spikes manufacturer's their products. I believe someone else is manufacturing the products and adding Spike's logos to it. Spike's receivers are a bit more expensive than Aero's, but the quality isn't better. You're paying for logos when you buy Spike's.

    Just got disappointed by Aero Precision customer service. I asked for no favors, but when they put a combo on sale for $150 within 25 days (30 day return policy,) I emailed that I was upset at paying $250 for the same combo within the return period. They said I could return the combo, but didn't offer even a small store credit. The return would have been costly; I would have had to pay for shipping both ways as well as a return fee. I know, I know, but it just lowered my estimation of the company. I will probably continue to buy Aero stuff, but it will never be for more than 1/3 off retail. Wait for the sale and google prices at online sources before buying. Don't let it happen to you.

    My AR from them is having weird wear marks on the charging handle, like the metal is being scraped and chipped off, no Idea why and I've shown multiple people. Also whenever I eject a unfired round the bullet is tilted to the side, I've tried everything from American eagle to cheap Tula to surplus M855. Otherwise it's been a good rifle but it's problems are quite annoying

    • @OreGear
      @OreGear  7 років тому

      Where on the charging handle are you getting the marks? If it's along the side where it rubs against the inside of the receiver, that's totally normal. As far as the tilted bullets, what type of magazines are you using, and what type of feed ramps does your receiver/barrel have?

    • @Hermann-lz2jb

  • @mshehan1552
    @mshehan1552 6 років тому

    Seems like great stuff...I will probably buy again, but...first upper and lower were kind of duds. Explanation...stripped lower was a complete blem, although I purchased it as a non blem part. I might go as far to say it was unusable. Worst problem was the right hand side oval mag release hole was not machined properly. I've been a machinist for 20 years and it's actually easy (difficult to do wrong!) to mill an oval slot with straight sides...this one was not. Slot sides were poorly machined and spring and button did not fit completely. This was mystifying. Second, the top slot for the bolt catch was not even straight, although the release fit so it was okay to run. Running a dull mill or running too fast is what it looked like. But again, easy stuff but poor machine work. Ultimately was replaced by third party vendor I purchased from with little hassle. Got a good one the second time.....
    Upper is good to go, but when looking down the rail with good light it's.....warped? I've bee machining long enough to know aluminum stress relieves horribly in some circumstances and maybe this is the case here. It's usable as is, but I've never seen another upper with this condition. Both weird ones, but makes me wonder about machining practices and QC. Still looks like good stuff, so I just don't know...

    • @OreGear
      @OreGear  6 років тому

      Did you contact Aero?

    • @mshehan1552
      @mshehan1552 6 років тому

      Yes...originally contacted Aero to get a warranty replacement/exchange on lower...they said to contact who I bought it from since I didn't buy direct. I thought this was odd. Third party vendor replaced lower with no hassles and they completely agreed it was no good. Although, I paid shipping to return it. $50 lower, wound up being $60...whatever. As to upper, I did not contact Aero. Parts seemed to fit in it fine, so I let it go. Still makes me wonder. Wouldn't go so far to say it's junk, but I've bought enough junk firearms/firearm parts and seen enough junk that this was borderline not worth pursuing because I've been burned before by manufacturers. All that said, I came to this video because the M4E1 set up looks killer and will probably get that...

    • @OreGear
