Maybe more beautiful to some eyes and better build quality. Definitely under performing and lower tech. But certainly good enough. I had a BMW and an Audi before my Tesla. You are aware this is just an Porsche Taycan with an Audi skin? It shares like 90% of the parts and drive systems. Nice looking car for sure, but the technology is not done by audi and sorry but the engineering? This is a manual production line... for a car company with that long of experience in production lines this is sad to see.

You can not compare this with Tesla production or any other production line in general. Audi is here building cars manually and in very small numbers, maybe 10-15k a year. Where Tesla goal is doing 500k+ in a year. The panel gap issue mostly is from Gigafactory in NA, the Gigafactory in China have none of those issues., same with paint etc. Building automated production lines is one thing, fine tuning the systems takes time, which Tesla has very little of atm since they can't keep up with the orders. Seeing Audi building Electrical cars by hand only proves that Audi has no interest in going electrical, they just doing it because of upcoming EU regulations. The car design is very beautiful, but the inner body design is 90% copied form the Porsche Taycan and so is the complete Electrical system, so yeah it's a Porsche designed car with an Audi facelift. Also they have not yet received the certificate to sell it NA, they only passed the crash test for EU. Also seeing Audi / Porsche making Electrical Cars is a win for Tesla, since Tesla goal #1 is going for more sustainable way of Transport.

That the one reason my I didn’t buy a Tesla. Their fit and finish is horrible, final inspection personnel must get paid for hitting the quota for that week.
This car is designed to compete with the Tesla model S which in its highest spec costs $141,190 US. This is the estimated cost of the RS E-tron. When it comes to build quality and interiors Tesla’s are poor unless you like the monks cave look and irregular panel gaps, failing screens, suspension problems and the list goes on. I know this because 3 of my friends own them and regret their purchases. I’ll stick with my M5 comp, but I may order an RS-GT.

Friend of mine had a A6 as company car, 2 of his doors has panel gap issues, the trunk was not always closing completely. All car makers have build issues and imperfections, just Tesla is under the microscope in the media and overall by people because of their early design issues, Gigafactory in China has none of those anymore and they are working to get those changes back into NA factory. A full equiped Tesla Model S Plaid+ is around 140k-150k €, where the BASE Audi e-Tron GT is around 100k and the BASE Audi e-Tron RS GT is around 140k. This is BASE as no options car and with German brands, this means NO options. Start checking that options list and you easy get to 160k. So yeah The RS-GT will in the end only have the looks but not the performance / Range compare to the upcoming Model S Plaid+ in a few months. To talk about build Quality, You ever sat in a Tesla with new seat design? They are way better then Audi RS seats on long trips, oh and yeah let not forget that with the small design of the Audi, good luck seating 4 adults for more than a hour with minor leg room in the back.

I saw all this assembly fuss at other manufacturers. And most importantly, what is in this car: the electrical part was removed in passing, as something insignificant. And the sound at the stand? Was it difficult to write to an audio recorder, or at least turn off the auto correction mode in the camera? Everything is somehow graphically based on video, amateurishly, without respect for the viewer and potential buyer. There is no need...just put shifter to D and drive...but...if you want switch on Infotainment etc. you can switch it on using this and you can disconnect from the still existing 12v part...no Batterie drain.
Der eTron GT hat wie der Taycan Fußgaragen im Batterieboden, damit man nicht die Knie am Kinn hat wie im Model 3...daher entsteht dann der Tunnel der auch Batterien enthält. Daher gibt es auch soviele SUVs. Da kann man die Batterie einfach unter den Boden basteln ohne ergonomische Probleme hinten zu bekommen.
Yet they'll still manage to charge you hundreds for a service which would just be a tyre pressure check and screen wash fluid. Also they will require a service or your warranty is void and since no garage knows how to service battery cars it'll be only at Audi approved. Just get a model 3, better range, more efficient and at least 5 years ahead in tech. oh and it's cheaper.
Sounds like you are a Tesla fan……..had you ever actually driven the Audi R/S E-tron GT you would understand that range is not what everyone actually prioritises. Besides I can get over 300 mile out of mine. I sold my Model 3 LR because of the poor build quality and terrible after sales service, and to say that a service is not required every 2 years like Tesla do (apart from a brake fluid change) is foolhardy as I worked in the motor trade all my life so am not speaking blindly. Everyone has different priorities and every persons car is their own Rolls Royce.
No disrespect to the car, but this is the worst how-its-made video I've ever seen. It's a comically bad case-study in how NOT to do this. They focus on the wrong steps (lots of long, slow, boring interior assembly but totally skip paint?) then show the body/frame marriage as a CLOSEUP FROM THE FRONT?! Also why would you choose a black car as your star? Use a bright color or, at least, a metallic color. Did they hire the team from Suicide Squad? Hey Audi, FIRE YOUR DIRECTOR!
