- If you're in the market for a futuristic looking electric sport sedan, look no further than the #Audi #RSeTronGT. This cousin to the Porsche Taycan has all the making for a sport sedan from the future with over 600 HP, up to 238 miles of range, and a design that will surely turn heads everywhere it goes. The #AudieTronGT is easily one of the most striking new cars on the road today.

Audi got the styling and interior ergonomics ON POINT! Thank GOD they didn't hide every control in a stupid screen. And the performance of this model won't have you missing the Porsche.
And also range in the real world far outperforms what the epa says it should get, similar to a tacan.
The joke about the seatbelts at 14:40 😂 You were serious until that moment and my dumbass was just like oh ok…wait a second!
The sound you make while tasting the acceleration and how high your pitch goes is essentially your Doug Score.
We really need sedans to comeback, so sick of the mommymobile crossover craze.
Note that there are USB-C ports in the rear. They are under the middle seat opposite the rear vents.
"You feel that shi...ft. Face-ripping thrust" How could you not love Sofyan?!😂
Best looking EV!!
I agree. --- 2021 Model 3 Performance owner.
One of my favorite automotive influencers. Excellent review!
Man do I love that aspect ratio expansion effect.
I want this for my daily driver.
Love your reaction on the launch 🚀
Quick correction with the regen braking thing. Both the Audi and the Porsche have regen braking but not one pedal driving. I forget the exact percentage but when you press on the brake pedal, the first ~80% of braking is all regen. Quite a clever method of braking imo. Only in emergency situations will it override regen and use the brakes as much as possible from the very beginning.
The E-Tron and Taycan are essentially the same vehicle. Lends to them being similar in overall performance.
They are not the same vehicles.
I really love this red 2022 Audi RS E-tron GT.
Great job with your videos as always Sofyan.
I saw this on the road & it's really nice plus it's distinguishable you know for sure it's an Audi
Gorgeous car! My neighbor's Tycan Turbo S first edition looks dated already!
Hi Pogi good review👍
Who? He won’t date you Poopsie.
Very Nice Bro! Get Good People!
Between this and the Q4 sportback, Audi has the best looking EVs on the market.
I’ll be able to afford one when it becomes a classic car 😂
If this came in an Avant version like the Taycan Sport Turismo, it would be the best car ever.
I actually heard Audi is planning already to make this into an Avant version, just like the Porsche
a6 avant e tron is coming in 2024 that would be similar
Did you ever find the back seat USB-C ports? On the front of the middle seat along the transmission tunnel
I want to know what is under all of that plastic under the hood.
Big $$$ for a sedan
its a sports car...
Personally, I think i would prefer the RS 5 Sportback, but this is a very nice car.
Huge opportunity missed not being a hatchback :(
Disagree! I, for one, do not like hatchbacks !
Love this car . I would love if the hips and were Simi squared
We can’t wait for you to design your own vehicle and then bring it to production.
@@XX-166 definitely would
@@ajjax89 we’re waiting
I think it's a beautiful car. I also like more than the Taycan, and that's because it has physical bottons and manually adjustable vents for the A/C. I would prefer not to have the "one-pedal driving". Great car and great video
He does a great Joker impression!
Yes 17:20
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!!!!
Come drive my plaid in north Carolina. Let me know.
Wondering what the maintenance costs will look like 5 and 10 years down the road.
I wouldn't keep it long enough to find out. I've had four Audi. Great cars... But, when you get out of warranty, you better have "a guy." The dealer will absolutely murder your wallet. 😩
That being said, there will NOT be "a guy" for these cars for a decade, and don't get me started about parts🤨
I plan on leasing this car in 2023. I'm never going to get rid of combustible cars completely because there's a huge financial and technical blindside to these new EV's. 🤔
Someone gotta do us all a favor and give Sofyan a model S Plaid to review already 😅
Assuming it's not broken or misaligned.
Need this in Gran Turismo 7 since I'll never be able to afford a real one....
I see way more Taycans on the road versus this. (I've seen only one.) I feel this is much nicer and better than the Taycan. There must be some other reason why this doesn't sell as well.
People who can afford this price level will go for the brand name that gives them the most bragging rights.
@@ejohnson3131 exactly! The price is the problem. There’s no way I’m buying this over a similar priced Taycan.
The Taycan has been out longer so there are more of them out there.
Same here. Just got back from SoCal and saw one Audi e-Tron but so many Porsche Taycan. I would still take the Audi.
Because the s and s plaid exist . They need to under cut or out perform the s .
For such a huge battery I'm sortve surprised it's rated so low in range? The Korean cousins have 77kW or something. And they get 274 (Kia) and 220 (Hyundai) whilst being taller, bigger, probably less aerodynamically efficient vehicles.
Editing: ohhh they have transmissions in these two German cars.
They dont do 2.9
@@davevolz6138 sure but if you're not launching the Audi at all between charge cycles, does that equate to 300 miles of range?
All four vehicles you're talking about have a real world range in the 275-ish mile area. The German companies severely under rate range, horsepower, and acceleration figures.
The Taycan RWD can actually go more than 300 miles.
Edit: also, once you've lived with an EV for a while(I'm on my 4th one), you really start to not give a shit about range at all. It's a seriously overrated issue.
i own an ev6, u really cant compete with this e-tron power. Even GV60 has terrible range because of that 10 second boost mode. This one has 2 seconds?
@@mrpogi23 EV6 is great.
I was looking at that but scarce here.
The EV thrust cackles have me 😂😂💀
Thought it would have the retractable door handles🤷🏾♂️
Which mechanic will work on this
The Audi Dealership!
"Face ripping thrust" he says
If you've ever seen one of these they are like 100x better looking inside and out than the Taycan.
it's really a shame that the taycan still handles a lot better though. I wish audi hadn't messed with the handling
@@ajf5745 The Audi handles great and outside of a track (where neither will likely never go), whether the Taycan handles better is irrelevant. It's like C8 buyers going with the Z51 package which is irrelevant outside of a track where few ever go.
Can you please test the E-Tron-S (3-motor) SUV- the “fat” E-Tron? Thanks
I don’t get the “horn” review. Here’s the state of California (my state) horn regulation:
“Every motor vehicle when operated upon a highway must be equipped with a horn in good working order and capable of emitting sound audible under normal conditions from a distance of not less than 200 feet, but the horn or other warning device must not emit an unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle.”
I test drove this a couple months back at an auto show; $116K out the door. I laughed at the nice Audi lady as I walked away...
Lol yes 232 miles haha
Awesome they let you drive it. I’ve had bad luck test driving any Audi.
Great review. Beautiful car. Isn't that about the range of the BMW i3? If you drove that car hard, you'd have to charge it every single night. What is Audi thinking? 238 miles? I guess it's 2015.
Exactly, this is something UA-cam's influencers never mention, and that goes for all EVs, the harder you drive them the quicker the battery charge is reduced
Depends on how efficient it is. I charged my EV6 to 91% last night and I ended up finding a Stinger that wanted to have fun on the highway the entire way home and after plenty of pulls and just overall driving between 85-105mph for 20 or so minutes straight, I was at 86% battery when I got to my exit.
I'll also add that it was raining fairly hard so lots of auxiliary missions were happening, between the windshield wipers and defogger.
Kind of a silly comment because the i4 is rated for less than that and it's not just Audi it's Porsche as well. Not to mention alot of electric cars are getting between 200 and 300....maybe reset your expectations...I mean I guess it's reality....
@@devongee1776 You were driving that fast while it was raining? Do you want to die??
@@ftr911drvr I think the focus is and probably should be on charging infrastructure and getting it as fast as possible. The EV6 does this wonderfully. 18 minutes to 80% at Electrify America.
Most PEOPLE don't need more than 300 miles of range. Commercial and public passenger vehicles would be a different story...
The usb charging ports in the back are not missing; they’re under the middle seat.
I prefer the look of the TAYCAN ..but I'd rather the E TRON over the MODEL S
Front looks like the mask I wore during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic
Surprising , the value of euro dropped but price of these car has not changed
Styling cues from the ELANTRA N facia.
That's like saying rolex got stylijg cues from Timex. Hyundai copies german cars, it's like they dont have an r&d department.
@@loudrats But the ELANTRA N facia came out before this.
@@44actual Audi always used in-house designs and build on it. Every audi class/model never changes much except little face-lifts and modern lighting. A 2010 A4 would look very much like a 2023 A4. Hyundai on the other hand chances 90%designs of each car and borrows design trends. A 2020 elantra looks nothing like a 2022 elantra. Might as well be a different car all together. Remember audi is leader in those department eg the virtual cockpit and the led running daylights before every car maker copied. Now the new designed elantra is only 2yrs old and copied the sportback with the led trails trend from audi A7. Now this rs-gt borrows cues from the porche, the rs6 and the rs7.
@@loudrats In this case I’m talking about the front of the car not being body colored. have there been any other examples of this trend on the car before the Elantra N?
@@44actual 2020 and up audi rs7, rs6, rs5....2017+ audi r8(5yrs old).
Any natural aspirated engine fan here ?
Fan for life, ill drive them till they dont exist anymore
Only folks who work in fossil fuel related industries. They seem to hate electric vehicles for some reason. They are too quiet , they mention. Oh, and have no soul.
Indeed. Right here. I prefer filling up with petroleum instead of waiting for a charge.
@@davevolz6138 they really don’t have soul tho. Yeah they’re super quick…but they’re for the most part boring.
I won’t even consider an EV until 2030
No one gives a s*** about 0 to 60 times. Let's all grow up.
Sounds like you're bitter getting smoked when the light turns green :))
@@SirChocula no, I'm just not 12 years old anymore.
24:07 “It literally breaks necks everywhere”. Ya sure about that? Hope to never see it in that case.
Lucid is the winner here
The front end looks like the first gen 2015 NSX but incomplete concept. lol
I guess they used carbon fiber to keep the car nice and light.
Gotta be rich to go green 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Did Hyundai copy audi?Or audi copyed Elantra N front end 🤣🤣
Its a joke
Hyundai and KIA have hire former two retired Audi/VW designers that why since 2011 KIA optima their design got better. You can see it in new Genesis products it have Bentley and VW influence.
25:18 price
With that price, I want 350 miles range...RS7 is nice 😁
Launch control on an EV "Build the Boost" lol
the front looks like a regular car....that can be more beautiful than that
Would love to purchase this press car after it makes its rounds… but that paint is trashed… 😂😂
240 miles range for $162k lol wtf plus that black front will look like shit from dirt and bugs.
It sportcar the regular version have over 300 mile range
the rear room is soo small. Thats way too small.
Only 165k? That's chump change! This is a bargain! Let me go sell my house right now!
I’ve heard people getting 0-60 times of 2.2 seconds…
Does anyone else hate how they double stack lights on the rear or the front lights (kind of like a notch)? It looks so ugly, putting section on section to make lights. Please just make a single head and tail light housing unit. The back of this car looks like they took a new Audi A7's tail lights and stuck it on top of the old Audi A7's tail lights.
Think this looked like a Toyota from the frojt
This looks better than the Toyota crown
@@naveenthemachine Maybe so, but has nothing on the Lexus IS500, and this Lexus isn't even a full blown F
@@tommiko8313 the v8 sound is amazing but the rest of the IS really falls apart in every way possible including performance
@@naveenthemachine we're talking about looks not performance
@@tommiko8313 well looks yeah it’s good but not as good as the g70 or the 3 series (except the m3)
You look like your having entirely too much fun behind the wheel of this car. I’m not a believer in EV’s yet but I can see where anyone would want one of these.
232mi range in a 93kwh battery? Lol!
It sport car
audi is so cute , they put a carbon roof on a 5100lb car 😂
I'd prefer a car without the regen braking, so if I won the lottery, I'd certainly be getting something like this Audi.
With this money just buy Tesla S Plaid. Faster and more range.
Well should add a little bit of money to buy Plaid.
I'm trying to understand why you would need a $10,000 brake. Unless you're playing Need for Speed in real life, nobody is stomping on their brakes as much as a normal brake.
Another multi geared EV hopefully more companies add more stepped transmissions to feel like a normal car.....more people would buy them
I got the RS Etron GT.
It's .1 seconds slower than the taycan turbo and .1sec slower than the Turbo S when not in overboost
It's also much cheaper than taycan when you add the same options
If an EV doesn’t have at least 300mi range, it’s useless. Ideal would be 450-500mi. These cars still have some ways to go before they can replace IC.
lol
Are you daily driving 450-500 miles?
I am not a fan of the front. 😢
Crazy price. 🙈. Too expensive. Total waste of good money.
Narcissists who want to give a bank manager paycheque money to drive the banks car might like it.
👎🏿
You're just too poor.
A little less cackling laughter would make watching your videos more pleasant 🤫
Reviewer: how do you review and Audi and not mention the exterior lighting?? Audi is THE industry leader in lighting technology and you said nothing about it, much less bothered to demo them. Even if you're "not a lights guy" you still need to always cover that when reviewing any Audi
Lucid and Tesla have more range n power. Very disappointing here from Audi.
When it’s cold outside your getting like 180miles at most
So you can’t drive to Alaska on one charge?? So what
ok, ok, Im getting off your lawn, jeez....
The 2022 Audi RS e-Tron GT
If you really, really, really don't want to own a Porsche
What a rip-off , they can keep this thing, all kinds of better value vehicles out there for a fraction of the cost
That new grill design is so ugly, I wonder if they hired someone from Lexus to design their new cars
I like it tbh. And it looks nothing like a Lexus. If anything it kinda reminds me of a Honda Accord....sorta.
@@001spring I bet the next accord will benchmark this since the current one benchmarked the Audi a4
We care about range
I like e.v.'s, but the wheels are terr6
With a name like "Tron" you think of the sci-fi and tech of the video game and movie, but this car is about as basic of an Audi as it comes instead of being a tech tour-de-force. What were they thinking?
This sure as hell doesn't look 160k. 80 max.
$162,000.00 for a car ? why ?
what a cheap interior for such an expensive car...what a shame, since it looks cool
The taycan and e-tron are both overpriced. I’ll wait for them both to come down after the next year or 2
Not good enough...
It doesn't have the digital matrix projector headlights. Yep. Their FLAGSHIP electric car doesn't have lighting technology that LESSER models have as an option. So I'll pass and suggest they FIRE the idiot at Audi who overlooked this.
Stop calling everything a sports sedan. A model s is not a sports sedan.
Way too expensive. Again Tesla faster, more range and cheaper. Great combination
Tesla has known and documented fit and finish issues… this one doesn’t.
no... Tesla is nothing premium please...
Tesla is trash imo. Especially when comparing it to something like this or the Taycan.
Tesla is trash right.I have to agree. The beauty of this is even three second cars are now nothing special. The bar is raised even further. Beautiful
@@davevolz6138 It's not even about speed. In 10yrs every car will be 2-3sec (0-60) for the most part, especially the luxury brands. But Tesla cars are pretty dull to look at and they still have build issues.....panel gaps, interior rattles and noises. For the prices they ask, garbage.
@@001spring I totally agree. Not plugging Tesla for sure . Pun.
They better get self driving cars out there. The public can’t handle two second cars the way they drive now.
Tesla have more range and the tech is ahead of competition but interior is bland on Tesla.
@@RonsmooveTI yeah build wuality not too good, but they still have many good qualities. See lots of em in SoCal
