@Daniel Brice Yeah, I love my Tesla, but it wouldn't hurt to have less repairs. As you mentioned, I am wondering what's behind the idea of less range. Less performance is not an issue for common people. Elon is a very intelligent and unique man, that's for sure. His ideas combined with German precision would be outstanding.
@Daniel Brice E-tron have a big battery buffer. And will for sure outlive every Model X. Quality in Etron is way way better than any Tesla. Handling is also better. You don't need bigger range if you can load your battery for 15-20 minutes. But this si not the problem, everyone can put bigger battery. Why you need updates in the first place? Good luck with any Tesla out of the warranty. They are worst even in warranty.

This is the craziest assembly line I've ever seen. The amount of automation is simply ridiculous. Over 200,000 hours of engineering went into that assembly line.

I am reminded of EV-1 each time I hear about electric vehicles. They could make one in the nineties that was cheaper, simpler in construction and the range wasn't worse than today. Why the heck are those modern things so expensive then.
it is amazing no doubt but a part of me still thinks its just too much machine for such a solution. Reminds me of cassette playing vs say cd. Soo many more moving mechanics vs technology. Its almost as if we have a tool to assist us to still make electric motors the old fashion way!. Never the less i'm still empressed by the machanics.
