I love that you are in full glam one second and then in a robe, hair up no make up at all, looking 100% natural!
I'm either one or the other, no in between 😂
@@AbbeyYung i don't know if i should say it or not but you are way prettier without makeup
@@kukualdulimy3699I agree!
You love that she’s… human? And sometimes looks more dressed up and sometimes not?
Omg I am literally trying to fight my way out of my own depression and had thought “wow how did she film this, I could never have the follow through for all the check-ins” and then you commented on that at the end, wow ❤ thank you for the hope and empathy
This is community you're not alone on being depressed but remember there is always light on the end of that tunnel ✨️ 😊
Thank you for including all the nitty gritty details. These are the kind of things that often get forgotten or where we are left scratching our heads, but I really appreciate that you include the tiny details :) like the mini hair clips breaking easily, and the comparison between the 2 leave ins!
of course!! so glad to help xx
I can’t believe the difference in your hair now and 2 to 3 years ago. Absolutely gorgeous.
Honestly me either! Thank you!!
@@AbbeyYung whats your secret . would love to know the full line used
@@debbiecoyle5134literally she has so many videos talking about this just go through her channel
Ikr it gives me hope for my hair lol
@@debbiecoyle5134 everything she showed you! Watch her older videos too!
I loved the hair tips of course, but I especially loved the very last part where you shared that you are in such a better place that you COULD do the video now. Actually brought tears to my eyes because there is no better feeling than looking back to when things were dark and knowing you've dug yourself out of it.
Couldn't agree more 🥺
Same 🥹 I was in a similarly difficult place a few years ago and just comparing to how my baseline feels now compared to then is just such a great feeling. Things may not be perfect but seeing how much you’ve improved feels like a weight off your shoulders
Love spending Sundays with you girl!! You put so much love and effort into your videos and it doesn’t go unrecognized!! You’re a gem!
awww thank you so much for spending your Sundays with me 💗
For sleeping, you might do well with putting your hair up like you've been doing, but use a silk scrunchy to keep it up, and possibly a silk sleep bonnet.
I'm Caucasian and I have fine hair, but it's 2b curly, and this is how I'm able to keep my curls looking good with minimal upkeep for upwards to a week
Was just going to say the same thing! And definitely sleep on a silk pillowcase.
Agree, I don't really understand the lack of use of silk products when every single person who talks about growing your hair long uses them. Also I don't get the opposition to braids. Like she said just do a ponytail for the gym when a braid is way more protective
I sleep in a bonnet when it’s cold, but I get really hot during the night and during warmer weather there is no way I can sleep in it.
Silk pillowcase and scrunchie are the way to go.
I sleep with a silk pillowcase but I can’t do the bonnet. Every one I’ve tried gives me headaches when I tighten it enough to stay on. 😌
I've tried scrunchies and most pull too much! I also am a really hot sleeper so I can't do anything that fully covers my head- my hair is already like a heating pad I swear 😩
I’ve never been more excited about your video!! You’ve helped me transform my hair to the best it’s ever been!! Love longer videos and with 50min I feel like a kid in a candy store!!!
hahaha YAY! thank you so much for watching xx
I tried the Pantene Volume and Body Shampoo this week thinking it would be super stripping but worth it for the deep cleanse but OMG it is SO almost slippery feeling and left my hair feeling so soft and smooth and bouncy and not straw like at all
Did it strip color?
@@goldfinch102 I don't have colored hair so I couldn't tell you but Abbey obviously does and recommends it so my assumption is it doesn't strip color
@@amassofcontradictions4693I don’t think abbey colors her hair
I’M SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I’ve been so curious!
Your hair is AMAZING! And honestly a goal to get back to such luxurious hair! I lost a lot of hair two years ago due to stress and hormones and I found your videos middle of last year. I’ve been working towards healthy hair and I’m so grateful for your help!
This was great! I've always wondered about your second wash day of the week. Thanks Abbey 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
yay of course! 💗
I've been following your hair advice now for a while. My hair is definitely healthier than it has likely ever been. Looking forward to watching this now!
that's amazing!! so glad to hear that xx
thank you for everything you share and prepare to show us here! really appreciate you, girl! very glad to learn you're out of a depression state and hope you'll never come back to feeling that way ever again so praying for you! much love!
Currently rewatching this. I love all of your videos but this one is my favorite. So much good advice. Thanks for your hard work!!! 🦋🩵
I’ve been looking forward to a video like this!!! Thank you for always delivering INCREDIBLE content 😍
Seriously one of my most favourite creators. Science based tips are so important to me and I adore the lengths you’ve gone to educate yourself!!
awww thank you so much! xx
I’m so excited for the brush video. I need to know the best brush for wet detangling and dry hair brushing. Currently using a wet brush and my hair is breaking so much. I’m convinced it’s the wet brush. I trust Abbey’s recommendations and I’m excited to try the brushes she suggests.
I sooooooo appreciate the amount of work and editing that this video took:)
And all of your videos actually!!

really loved this!! gave me so many great ideas❤
I’m so happy to see that you’re doing sooo much better than you were a couple of years ago!!! Things have a way of working out 🥰
WOOHOO! Have been waiting for this! Thanks, Abbey!!❤

Thankyou so much 💗
I’m so glad I found your channel, I literally love you
YES!! This is the video I have been waiting for!!
yayy thanks for watching 💗
This was a really amazing video! I can't normally sot through vlog content for so long but this was both enjoyable and super educational. Can't wait yo incorporate more of these tips into my own hair routine!
As for the general body aches, maybe do some blood work and make sure you don't have a vitamin D deficiency? Or any other vitamin or nutrient deficiencies. I have one and although I somehow got away with few symptoms, I've memorized what a vit D deficiency is thanks to reading so much about it and the body aches and lower back pain are some of the most common. Hope you feep better soon! And thanks again for all your contributions to haircare :)
Love your vlog, your vídeos, personality and vibe! ❤
Yes!! Mini jaws clips! I use these ALL the time for ALL my styles. They're amazing. You can do looser versions of many styles and they hold them very well. Fantastic for avoiding breakage. Although yes, they do break for me, too 😅... which is why I have so many of them.
omg yes!! they're just so useful
I cannot wait for your best hairbrush video! That is honestly my current agenda, on the hunt!
Amazing video!!! So helpful- you're the best for my hair type so I'm glued to every word. Thank you so much for saving my chemically treated hair and for teaching all of us what to do !! XO
yay! of course 💗
Love tis video!!! Ironic you posted it as I was starting to style my hair and looking for something to watch
She’s GORGEOUS omg
Thank you abbeyyyyyyyyy, im learning how to better take care of my hair with every one of your videos
Yay! Yes you did do it 👏🏽 We love seeing that smile Abbey. You are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for this video. It makes me realize your hair routine is actually not that daunting. It’s quite easy, flexible, and manageable!
your hair is gorgeous!! love your videos!🩷🩷
thank you thank you 💗
Thank you for this fantastic content. I don’t know your Chicago story, so happy you are on the other side of a dark period in your life. You seem in your element and I love your channel. I need to get some of your jaw clips!
This is wonderful and so helpful! Thank you for doing this ❤❤❤ would love to see this again or something like it in the future 💕
Ooooh! Thanks for the book references abbey!!! I’m obsessedddd with thrillers too! And audible is my favorite way to read them! Or listen I should say. I’ve only read verity of those so I’m downloading now!! Love this video!!!!!! Sooooo good and been dying for this video
I would loveeee to see a similar style video on your skincare routine ❤
Thank you for showing what you do during the week! I have heavily processed bleach hair and I’m finally taking care of it so it doesn’t feel damage or straw like. I just sprayed the Epres spray & OGX oil while watching this 😊 and also, my hair too “bounces” back to the curls after I brush it out initially.
Abbey - you are my absolute favourite youtuber. You are relatable, super kind and your ability to share knowledge is insane!
I'm so glad you did this video. So helpful and I really appreciate the extra details around the workout. I've been dying to know what you switched to while sleeping as I have face framing layers too. The struggle is real! lol So, yes to the new product/hair accessory please. I also loved the WALK scene. So cute!!
Abby!!! I love the concept of the sleepy tie (silk bonnets fall off or leave imprints in my forehead) but it just doesn't work for me 😭 I have a ton of super long fine hair, maybe that's why? But no matter how high I put on my head or follow the directions/ watch videos it flops down and pulls - forget about even caring about preserving my hair style, just trying to find a comfy protective style for my hair while sleeping. I'd loooove to see what you can come up with. Even the two baby clips in a high bun trick changed everything. Thanks for all you do to educate people on their hair 🙏🏻
I can’t wait for the hair brush showdown!
I can't wait to hear your review on the Dove shampoo! Thanks for the hair vlog ❤
I really appreciate this type of vlog. I love it when dogs get the zoomies, they are so happy! Hope it was a fun w.a.l.k.
Love love loved this video!! Thank you!
Loveeeee the hair color and makeup combo in the intro
I really loved this video. It was nice to see a full week of what you do to your hair. I would definitely love more videos like this. It's really great to hear that you're in a better place because I know that was a rough time for you. 💜
I’d 100% be interested in that hair tool. Been looking for one
Amazing video! Can’t wait to try the glycolic acid treatment 😍😍😍😍
Thanks for this abbey!!
Hi Abbey,
Love your videos! I've added a lot of products and steps you recommended to my hair routine and the difference is noticeable 😮❤
Could you do a video on the must have routine/products you pack when going on vacation? I sometimes find it hard to narrow down my whole bathroom cabinet to one toiletry bag 😅
About your clips for your night style, have you tried those spiral/twist bobby pins? I think they would probably be great
No!! Need to look into that
Love, Love, Love this vlog. It was very helpful!!!
Omg yes please to the perfect sleep accessory!!!!
Abbey, you are beautiful! We have different hair types (actually polar opposite lol) but your tips have helped me a lot over the last few years. So glad your mental health has improved too- there’s nothing quite like going through a really difficult time and then the pride you feel after emerging from it.
Thank you for recommending the Pantene Volume & Body Shampoo ❤. Love it for my oily scalp.
Yayyy same 😍
Wow, your signature curls are like from other world. 😍
Thank you 🤩
I love this vid and love you of course. I have been tying my hair at night in that loose bun and it’s been fantastic!!! 🌸
She just looks so kind
I'm about to start my hair oiling journey, but have a great bond repair routine already. Girl thanks for all the time it took for you to do this video. I have fine, thin hair and I'm thinking about using a bonnet to sleep in. I usually don't style my hair (other than blow drying) but if i do i will straighten it. Do you recommend putting the hair up somehow to hold it or just put the bonnet on without a scrunchie or something of the kind? Trying to take better care of my hair while I sleep
Absolutely YES to a slleeping style! Desperate for one!!❤
The Zuvi Halo Hair dryer did what the repronizer is supposed to do. It transformed my hair after one use. My hair is so silky, smooth and soft. No product made this before. Before my hair was dry and strawy. It also looks more voluminous now. I don't know what this light does exactly, but it is like a hair treatment ❤ and this redlight or infrared light which comes out of the hair dryer, could be good for hair growth. It looks green but actually it is red.
I love that I watched this on my hair wash day. Thank you for doing this! I can’t imagine how much time it took to put it together. Have you ever done a review of rheumatoid arthritis Pureology Gloss treatment?
Also slightly random side note about the Laniege balm. I have been on the Summer Fridays balm train for a while mostly because I preferred the scents/colors to the Laniege. I bought the vanilla Laniege during the sale and I am officially back on the Laniege train. I love it
Plz come up with something for keeping curls while we sleep! I haven’t found anything yet but I will try your clip mechanism.
Love all the details shared about every product and I’m definitely running to the store today to try out that Dove shampoo!
With cleansing shampoos, do you personally use them for every other wash? I feel like I use them with every wash I do (generally once a week or once every 5 days) but I’m noticing I need to wash sooner. I also use the Pantene one you use here! I think it’s drying out my scalp so I get sooo oily so much quicker than I used to. Thoughts?! ❤
Thanks!!!
This was SO incredibly helpful. Thank you! I also struggle with what to do with my hair at night but my go-to is either a loose bun or side ponytail.
I needed this video! Thank you ❤ also what are your thoughts 💭 on dry shampoo foam?
I am in MN for a work contract and have been told this is the most abnormal MN winter!😂 the constant weather changing has been such a battle with my hair and skincare products. I don't know if you've heard of it but would love to know your thoughts on the Raw Sugar ACV & Rosemary hair rinse, shampoo alternative. It has been such a game changer for me in extending my full shampoo wash days (I use the Nioxin 1 set for my wash days). It's really affordable and has changed the game for my drier scalp in this climate💕
Love your content!
I recently saw that dove has a bond strengthen line and I’m going to try it out next time I need to get a shampoo/conditioner set! I would love to see your opinion on the set!
Loved the video and thanks so much for sharing how you care for your hair. Would you consider doing a more updated video for hair care when you go to the beach or swim in chlorinated pools? Thanks!
thank you for taking us through your full week of haircare! I love how detailed this is! I wonder will you include the colour wow brush too? And wondered also what do you do when you have your conditioner in and you are in the shower for 10 minutes? I always feel like that time goes by the slowest..
I didn't know color wow had one! Will add to my list. And I usually watch a youtube video while shaving or exfoliating or something 😂
Great job! I know it was a lot of work to do this type of video, but great job. I was very surprise that you wash your hair more than once a week, but no big deal. I need to try that Living Proof cause K18 was on point. Can't do without it, thanks to your recommendation.
Thank you for your dedication ❤
of course! thank you for watching xx
Love this video! How do you protect your hair in the shower on non-wash days? Do you use a shower cap, or clip it up?
Have you tried a satin bonnet? I have a couple from Always Covered, but I know there are a bunch of other brands. It has an adjustable elastic band that is flat, and I low-key love it. I usually use to to go to sleep, but can be used whenever. I put my hair in a loose ponytail to get it in and situated, then smush it up so that I can pull the ponytail out while it's inside of the bonnet. I actually really love it. For context, my husband who is from Guyana got me into using one since he was thinking that I was having a lot of breakage in my hair. And I try to use bonnets on my two daughters who are mixed. They usually end up coming off in the middle of the night, but still trying.
This was so helpful!!!
Just wanted to say I’m so happy you’re happy again and are doing so much better than when you were in Chicago♥️
Thank you so much 💗
Hi Abbey! Love your videos and my hair is so much healthier since following your routine. I purchased your ultimate hair guide almost a year ago and was wondering if you were going to update it with any of your new favorite products? Thanks!
I loved watching this, thank you Abbey! I have a question: does layering heat protection with multiple products increase the overall level of protection (similar to layering products with sunscreen for skin)?
Thank you so much for this video! I've watched it a couple times and am incorporating your advice, using your links 😊
One thing: do you apply your conditioner in the shower right over the K18? Or do you wash it off? I've been following their directions to leave in, but I'm open to whatever works. Thank you!!
Abbey, what are your thoughts on the new Olaplex Browbond Building Serum??? Btw, I learn so much from your videos💜 I loved watching your weekly hair maintenance routine!
I clicked so fast! THE video I’ve been waiting for 😄
hahaha YAY! Thanks for watching xx
@@AbbeyYung thank you for your content! It has helped me 💚✌🏽
Hi Abbey, thank you for making this video. Puts a lot into perspective. I've been following your general council and the products you recommend and have had great results until now! Thank you for taking the time and sharing the knowledge, much appreciated 💕
I have the same hair type and a bit different but similar scalp issues. My hair is not colored now and had multiple growth cycles with no hair treatment but it has been treated in the past.
Would you suggest a general thought on what product lines to go for?
The products you recommend are almost always for dyed hair. Thank you kindly 🥰
wow thank you for this video!!!! the dogs are so cute and funny
You’re right about the bouncier curl with horizontal holding of barrel. If holding it vertical you should get a little more of that beach undone wave style curl. There are exceptions depending on how big the barrel, how much hair you use, how thick or dense the hair is… it can change the look slightly but over all you’re 💯 right about having a bouncier more voluminous curl this way (my personal favorite too) just wish my hair was longer so I could enjoy the look that you get! I’m trying! I’m following your routine to the tee! I’m almost finished with hair school and tell everyone at school and clients about the information I’ve learned and use from you! You’re an honorary cosmetologist on top of being a trichologist! Haha
I need to know what blush and bronzer you were wearing before the chat about the blizzard bc you looked amazing!❤
Thank you so much for this! ❤
I’m like at half of the video and I’m loving it SO much 😭😭😭 I had tried the blow dryer trick on dry shampoo and completely lost it when you said cold air, like WHAT? This is why we need EVERY LITTLE DETAIL Abbey 😅🙏🏽💖💖💖💖💖💖 thank you so much for this amazing video!!!!!
hahaha yay! So happy to help xx
The long sleep bonnet is the best overnight hair accessory I’ve ever tried. My hair type and length is like yours, and super tangly. I’m a rough sleeper but my bonnet stays on all night. My style is the same in the morning and tangle free
Have you tried the L’Oreal everpure in shower acidic glossing spray? I love that stuff. You apply after shampoo but before conditioner. It’s truly transformative.
I have been learning so much from you videos for the last few months. Even though I am a super busy, working, first time mom who is lucky to have the time to shave one leg in the shower, I appreciate all the info and TRY to implement some of you hair care into my schedule. Any short on time tips and tricks? I would also be curious to see a 'various workout hairstyles' video, especially for intense cardio. I run everyday and my tailbone length thick/heavy hair has to be up, not only to keep from being a sweaty mess nuisance, but also for safety so I can't be pulled back by my ponytail.
Could you do an updated favorite tinted SPF video for the summer. Love your videos.
Great video thank you Abbey ! 😍 I was wondering, how often do you use your curling iron ? I"m trying to avoid any curling/flat iron but how often a week do you recommend using it ?
Thank you love this video. I use lots of products based on youre recommendations.
Thank you very much
Thank you so much!!! Love all your videos hoping you and your doggie is well
Of course!! Thank you for watching ❤
Yes I would love a device for keeping ur hair style fresh while sleeping!
Have you ever tried a bonnet ?! Highly recommend one.
Ok so you did them for both of these washes, but are you doing Epres & LP every wash? And thank you so much for this!
Have you tried a sleeping bonnet or silk scarf for sleeping? I pile my curls on top of my head and loosely wrap my head with a silk scarf. Keeps my hair contained and preserves the curls really well.
the unbrush on amazon was life changing for my tangle prone hair which gets knotted after 5 minutes of leaving it down. can brush it effortlessly even wet.
