hello guys! I wanted to list some ways that this routine differs from my typical hair care routine:
1. previously I had been using a clarifying shampoo from the roots to the ends to remove product buildup throughout my entire length of hair. this routine emphasizes the importance of not doing that.
2. this routine emphasizes the importance of really coating every single strand of hair with the product you're using. this is something that I had tried to do, and honestly I thought I was doing a good job at it. but after watching her video, I realized that a good indicator that all of my strands are coated is whether or not I can successfully brush through my hair without resistance. also, making sure to section my hair when applying products just to make sure every strand is successfully coated.
3. applying a hair mask after shampoo, which I did before, but if my hair STILL felt tangled after, then I could go in with a conditioner - not something I did before.
4. apply a hair cream and then a hair oil.previously, I would just apply one of the other after washing my hair. but in this video, I would apply a hair cream first and then a serum/oil.
5. applying hair cream and oil before bed- same thing as #4, just making sure to do it at night as well.
and one more general point that I think this routine highlighted for me was the importance of paying close attention to the ends of my hair. although my hair is smooth and soft, the ends can actually be rough. by realllly focusing on the ends, it can help them to not feel as rough.
Hopefully this was helpful!!
Should you cold rinse after the hair mask/conditioner???
Should you cold rinse after the hair mask/conditioner??
Omg stop. You really made a whole hair video and then spent another chunk of your time typing out notes and you think this helping girls and women ? You should be teaching them to stip focusing on the their looks to this degree so they can spend time learning about and doing important things in the world. This is a waste of your precious time on the earth.
Thank you SOOOOOO much for showing us the routine and products that you use!
Well yes to lock in the moisture @@roro02
I just want to commend this method! I’ve been trying so hard to get my hair to be silky smooth after wash day but it always feels so dry despite me doing hair mask before washing, I woke up this morning with the silkiest hair ever! Honestly you should try this method if you’re struggling with dry end and rough feeling hair, definitely my new wash day regimen!!
What products did u use? And did u have to blowdry?
as someone who has only just started trying to take care of their hair (very thick, frizzy Māori hair) this method after just one wash day has already helped to make my hair so much smoother, shiny, and glossy! excited to keep using this technique and see how my hair is in a couple of months!!!
How is it now
Did you use the same exact products or just the same product types?
@@Hijabi_xx0okay so i’ve bleached it since so it’s not been as healthy but because i’ve been doing this routine it’s bounced back so much better than ever before, i don’t use the hair cream but i do everything else the same as the vid
@@sashar3718i used the same product types, i’m in Aus and just buy stuff from my local chemist warehouse but i buy (relatively) cheap products that do the same thing (or at least make my hair rlly shiny and soft compared). i dont use the hair cream but i do the rest the same as the video, and i wash my hair every 4-5 days
A bonnet is a great tip for not damaging your hair while you sleep. Also if you don’t like bonnets you could use a silk pillow case as well. Just a tip
I’m definitely trying this! Do you need to braid it or anything before or is it okay to leave free in the bonnet?
1) OIL
2) SHAMPOO
3) HAIR MASK
4) HAIR TOWEL
5) HAIR CREAM + OIL TREATMENT
6) B4 SLEEP: 5) AGAIN
You forgot the conditioner after hair mask 😇
What step do you wash ??
@@Madame_Zee it's the second step.Firts you apply the oil to dry hair, leave it on for some time - at least 30 min, then wash with shampoo.
lol that's literally all I already doo thx for saving me the time xd
I watched your video and then tried this routine out. It works so well. My hair is so shiny.
Thank you for being so thorough about the glass hair process..ive saved other "glass hair" videos, but yours is the 1st one I actually watched. I'm going to start this layering technique today since it's a hair wash day. Thanks again!! xoxoxo ✨️ 🤗
Seeing is believing and although I always have admired your hair for its beautiful shine your ends blew me away!! Thank you for sharing this amazing video I can’t wait to try this!! ❤
Sprinkle about a 1/2 teaspoon of black sesame seeds on every meal, and eat the equivalent of a small handfull of peanuts every day, whether it be whole, chopped, or natural peanut butter. They are very good for hairfall, and I can confirm!
I use moroccanoil leave in conditioner and Redken big blowout cream after washing my hair, blow dry, then I use a cream and oils to polish. I reapply a teeny amount of oil only to the very ends every night for 2 more nights before washing again. My hair is in the best condition it's ever been in my life! It was ridiculously thick before I had my 2nd baby, 20 years ago, since then it thinned out considerably. Since adopting this hair routine and adding black sesame seeds and peanuts to my diet every day, my hair is getting thicker again, and the hair on my temples is finally growing back!
Is it black sesame seeds or nigella seeds lovely ?
@@rinkumoshi black sesame seeds
Peanuts are high in mycotoxins moldy food, but Valencia peanuts are best if you have to
Just tried the steps and the results are AMAZING!!!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I had 2 under 2 and the amount of hair I lost in the front of my hair line was crazy! But now I have so many baby hairs lol. It grows back just takes time. ❤
So I have 4c hair and I feel like the natural hair girlies have been doing this for decades. It’s usually:
1. Separate the hair into 4-6 sections, making sure that each hair strand gets coated is crucial
2. Pre poo with mask or oil
3. Moisturizing shampoo, deep conditioner, and conditioner
4. LOC method
5. Set in a style (braid out, twist out etc)
6. Moisturizing and sealing every night before bed
My hair will never look like glass without heat and tension, and I’m perfectly okay with that. It’s healthy and soft, and there’s little to no breakage so I’m satisfied! It’s definitely interesting seeing people with other hair types “discover” this routine lol. I love the video as Always 🥰
its annoying how nowadays people make up random terms for 'new' methods that they discover even though these methods have always been around and now it's just people rebranding it. Like koreans came up with the term glass skin many years ago which is fine but now people are taking that and turning it into glass hair which is literally just a full-blown curly haircare regime as you stated above. I blame tiktok it's full of gen z and gen alpha just making sh*t up that we already been knew about!
Side note: what i call this routine is the ultimate post-straightening no damage get your curls back routine. I always do this after i have straightened my hair in hopes that i don't damage my curls even though everytime you heatstyle your curls, you are sabotaging your curl pattern.
I got a lot of inspiration from watching videos on natural African hair. My hair is usually very thick and coarse, so a lot of the same kind of products work, I just had to figure out how to tailor them to suit my hair, and Chris, "Blowout Professor", helped me fine tune it perfectly.
@@RebelAlliance42 Yes! I get so many great hair tips from people with straight hair, like abbey yung and audrey. I feel like we can all learn from each other and find ways to make techniques work for our hair types
@@gigibeah524same! I have type 4 relaxed hair i’ve learned that haircare is kind of universal with little difference across the board
4c hair is beautiful! Imagine how boring it would be if everyone had super straight hair. I know it is a lot of work, but as someone with hair so straight, it barely holds a curl, I always admire 4c hair.
omg i saw the video of glass hair too, tried it and made such a difference!! i'm so glad you tried it too and loved it!! love you audrey ❤❤
Found you through pamper night routine , Loving you for years ❤
I'm watching and saying TOO MUCH PRODUCTS! I thought your hair would be greasy as hell but it actually looks amazing I may have to try
Haha lol I have ADHD and really, really appreciate your video.... I realise how much I didn't catch from the original video and honestly, it was hard for me to pay attention, focus and listen on her video for me... OOPS... So Symptoms kicked really hard 😂💀 Appreciate it very, very much how you go into the steps individually and in detail, quite understandably, slowly...
Your whole video actually...with background music volume, white noise, calm...
Now I can do this routine too!!! I wanted to try it 😃💖💖
I try already it is very good, thanks my dear. I was having dry hair and damage.❤
Do you watch Abby young? She is so informative about hair she has taught me so much 😊
I was thinking the Blowout Professor he’s very knowledgeable and less bull.
@@acerone1 -oop
She is awful tbh
she’s awful? how so?
my issue with the blowout professor is i feel like he often says incorrect things… at least from what i know to be true. like off the top of my head the main example i can think of is him saying that oiling your hair pre-wash is pointless and that you’re just washing it all off anyways so it makes no difference. but the whole point is that you’re protecting your hair from access water and unnecessary damage. there were just different things he kept claiming that i totally disagree with and got frustrated and unsubscribed :/ but i love abbeys content and always watch all of her videos and have never thought there to be bs or whatever you’re saying. so i’m wondering what you’re saying is wrong with what she claims?
How often do you wash your hair? I feel I have to wash mine every day. I have tried doing it every other day. I feel like I have to have clean hair everyday. I think I’ll try your routine. Thank you. By the way you have a very soothing voice.
Thanks Victoria 😊. I have waist length hair and I’m going to try these steps as you have 🙏
Love your videos! And your voice is so soft and soothing Xx
Yes! She needs to do an ASMR video!
Thanks! Your hair looks very healthy 👏🏻
This seems like a ton of product in the hair. I don’t know if my hair can handle that. I might be crying for the next shampoo day. I’m going to try it though.
heyy update?
Do what works for you. These are just suggestions
It's the loc method! This was pioneered by the natural (curly) hair community.
It’s definitely not something new.
HI, just wanted to let you know, you are VERY BEAUTIFUL without makeup 💕💕💕
Ok. I have a question because this is not clear to me. Do you leave all those products in your hair (the mask, cream, oil) and don’t rinse them out? Are they special “leave-in” products?
your hair looks so gorgeous
You are so relaxing to listen to 🥰
Fabulous ASMR voice … 😘
I usually use leave in conditioner Redken One United or Pureology color fanatic as my 1st step after the shower. Im going to try it with and without. I'm curious if its something I don't need. I love Olaplex #6.
Please make a video how to do blow dry in regular basis with all of ur products layering..
My worry is the oil before the heat. Surely heating the oil will fry your hair?
I do actually use this method, it’s how I’ve always done my hair but I don’t use heat on my hair very often. When I do, i use a heat protection and I oil *afterwards* instead.
Awesome video as always Audrey!
Hi Audrey, did you ever try the zuvi halo hair dryer? It is amazing. It transformed my hair from dry to smooth ❤
So how is the hair mask penetrating through the oil though?
Your hair is unreal 😍
did you layer your hair w product every night since then or just the first night? and did that make a difference to your hair?
Im an easily confused person 😊but im assuming after the hair mask for 3 minutes you said rinse it out …you meant you washed your hair ???? And then continued on with the rest of the process …and with all the oils etc …did you wash the lengths or still just wash the scalp ❤
No she rinse out the mask not shampooed again.
What do you think of Nanoplasty?
omgf girl, I watched that video of irina and it was so so helpful. I wouldn't have thought in a million years that you would make a video like that. Thank you so much🫂❤
What's the hair blower setting please?
Hi, this is a great video but I was just wondering… Is this just for straight styles then? I’m thinking all of this product would prohibit a curl from staying in. What are your thoughts?
This is a technique that curly hair people already did. Straight hair people are just catching on now. So yeah.
i’ve been subscribed since 100k❤️ can you pls try amika products? i think the mirrorball would look so good on your hair
How often do you do this in a week?
Glass hair is usually achieved for ppl who wear their hair naturally, and not for ppl who dye or bleach it.. it’s important to note it in case some ppl here have bleached their hair to oblivion
Will this work using different product brands for some of the products that you listed? I just bought smoothing oil, and I already have a hair mask and clarifying shampoo?
What are you wearing on your lips!!?? 👄
How often do you do this routine?
Hi love this video. I wanna know instead of hair cream can I use leave in conditioner such as Garnier hairfood hair masks ?
Of course. Everyone one hair is different and use what you have.
Wondering how long this process of layering took? (Apologies if i missed it in the video) Also, how often would you do this? The result looks great, i love the shine but as someone with naturally straight hair, I hate my hair dead straight. I would love the shine without the super straightedness (lol if that's a word).
2 hours oil
5 minutes shampoo
20 minutes hair mask
10 minutes conditioner
(Towel drying 5 minutes)
5 minutes Applying hair cream
(Blow drying until half dry 15 minutes)
5 minutes Applying sealing oil
(Blow drying to fully dry 15 minutes)
Roughly three hour twenty minutes
informative video thankful for your help
girl son?! i thought you where 18 lol you look so young!!!
What do you think about Moroccan oil hydrate shampoo and conditioner?
I am planning to do a keratin treatment tomorow do you recommend i start doing this routine as well right away or wait a little ?
hellooo i am French girl :) do you have a little porosity or a high porosity ? and your hair is natural or do you have a lissage Brasilian ?
this is my fav vid
I haven't seen you washing your hair
What kind of cream it must be
hey audrey!! i love your content and i actually recently watched the same video as well! i am wondering though what exactly you’re referring to when you’re saying that this routine is different from your typical one? because to me the steps all seem the same and like the usual routine? is the special attention to coating the ends properly the difference and you’re just stressing the important of that? just wondering, regardless, love all of your videos and thank you for sharing
*importance
this is a great question! here are some ways this routine differs from mine.

Do we NEED to use a shampoo with sulfates if we oil our hair before showering? Like you mentioned, I only use sulfates for clarifying treatments and it wasn't clear if it's necessary with the oil.
Edit: also why was conditioner skipped over so quickly? Had to rewind to double check if it was even a step
You don’t use a conditioner if using a mask. ❤
@@mommaconsbowlcut8496you do. That's the point.
Have you got any colour on the ends of your hair?
I avoid using shampoo, mask and conditioner of different brands. It seems that they work better if they are of the same brand.
Thank you 👏💕
This would weigh my hair down so much 😩. I dunno if this would work on frizzy hair.
Thanks that was interesting method
I have a bunch of those pube looking short hairs. Some are coarse and thick. (My hair is mostly thin and kinda on the straight wavey frizzy side) I'm guessing it's from breakage and too much heat. but idk how to treat it.
I think she has some kind of keratin / botox treatment. Saw her 1st videos she has voluminous curly hair about her head and now around her forhead is all flat. Usially girls with thin hair having it. Hair structure chemically treated probably. No more curls.
No I really don’t have a keratin treatment. Years ago my hair looked more textured because I was not using conditioning products on it. Now I use silicones and hair masks which I *never* used before. I understand sometimes it’s hard to trust influencers. But I really do not have a keratin treatment. Also I’ve had 2 kids since then. I believe that pregnancy can sometimes change hair texture.
@@AudreyVictoria as I said "some kind of treatment" there are some beside exact name "leratin or botox"I do not believe that hair will switch after pregnancy in your case , and usually it is changes to curly or even curlier. I have tried a lot of hair products, not less than you did. I know chemistry and very well reading ingredients. So please do not tell me fairy tail stories. I don't know treatment may be chemichal straightening (with mild or step by step procedure there are many choices, may be mask that is mild and had to be used about 1 time a month to keep that effect. Looking at your hair they stopped being porous , they will not frizz in humid and got shine.but with all of the goes away volume. And your volume is absolutely gone. porosity changed due treatment on boning level and/or out layer film. I could bet with you and win . Take your hair with freshly root growth on chemical expertise and it would show exactly what you did to it and what was used :)))) I trust chemistry more than trust influencers.
So everyone has an opinion and they sometimes contrrdivt each other. Straight hair you brush dry. Sulfates are bad. Dimethicone is bad. So confusing
When you find contradicting opinions like this you can: Research science papers and see what they say on the subject and/or try both methods on your hair and see what works best for you (take pictures so you have proof)
When you realize ✨YOU HAVE THE SAME HAIR✨
So, many products I'm sure it works, but this is definitely not practical nor budget friendly nor do many have that kind of time.Must be an alternative way that doesn't require so many products
Nope.. my hair was unmanageable and breaking after bleach and not properly caring. This has fixed my hair it's insane. My hair mask is like 8 bucks, shampoo And conditioner is decently cheap, and every one should have hair oil or serum.
Is this hair color dark chocolate? Or just black?
Not black.
Your nose is too cute.
Not me at the end of the video looking at the mirror and seeing smth move 🌚 also it's like 2 am here 💀
Lmao scary! But it was my husband
Love you ❤❤❤
You have a keratin treatment…
No I don’t 😭
What hair dryer is that?
It's a Dyson (I have the same)
Just confirming no separate leave in conditioner?
Cream or a leave in - depends on your hair.Cream is heavier.Hope it helps
Didn’t you get a keratin treatment tho

You have low porosity hair
Love your vids but if you’ve had a keratin/smoothing/etc treatment (99% sure you have) I wish you’d disclose it in vids. It seems like most hair care creators have, but give people the idea that those results can be achieved with a proper hair care routine when they just can’t.
None of my hair is keratin treated or anything like that. I don’t know what to say, I can’t force anyone to believe me but I’m being honest. I understand that there can be mistrust with influencers. However you’re just going to have to take my word for it.
@@AudreyVictoria my bad!!! That is absolutely wild though, never seen untreated hair look so perfect ❤️ thanks for clarifying
@@leggyegg2890 Keratin treatments are filled with chemicals no? I’m told that they are not good for the hair. You seem educated about the topic can you confirm if they are good or not?

I am born with glass hair. I didn’t do anything to my hair. Shampoo and conditioner ...then air dry. Nothing more. I didn’t know people need to do so much in order to get glass hair. 😂
Enjoy it while it lasts.
Do you want a trophy?
So then what are you taking hear .
Y los que no entendemos inglés que hacemos??
I cannot find the ingredients for the hair mask, does anyone know if there is protein in it? My hair does not like products with protein.
It contains one which is hydrolized Conchiolin. It’s about 3/4 of the way down on the ingredients list. So it’s not that important, but if your hair is extremely sensitive to proteins it may not like it.
@@Sarah.0304thank you!!
You do realize that many ppl are actually allergic to sulfates? If you have sensitive or reactive dry skin you should avoid it. Important to point out.
if someone has an allergy to sulfates they’d know about it by the time they’re watching hair care videos. she can’t be responsible for every single person that watches this video. if so, she’d have to mention that some people may be allergic to literally anything and everything mentioned in the video.
There are people like me who are allergic to non sulphate shampoos.
8:03 is this really how 2.4 million girls are spending their time ? While boys study to become leaders, presidents, and Nobel prize winners, girls are discussing such minutiae as the texture of their hair from root to end? Man , we women will never get ahead. :(
So the girls are supposed to be leaders, presidents and Nobel winners with their hair that looks like rat nest?😂
You are so WRONG on so many angles!
First of all many young girls & boys today spend the equivalent of time "selfieing" and "tiktoking" as I spent at the University (I'm 63 now).
Second, I am proof, born with difficult high porosity frizzy curly hair, always worn long, spent HOURS taming it, blow drying it and still managed to read literature in 5 languages, studies, research work, jobs, move between 3 continents, raise a son, took care of him thru med school, had many friends and had fun in life. (when I was young there were cero products for curly hair: no oils, no masks, no serums 😢)
I find the fact that you find taking care of our hair to make women less than useful very DUMB 😅
@@virginiasanchis1717 first of all, I highly doubt your lofty claims. Second, thanks for making my point. Spending hours on your hair is a ridiculous and vain waste of valuable time. I can’t make it more simple. Men would never waste time like that and that’s why they make up the majority of the most important, powerful, and influential elements of the world.
