JB Hawker Food Challenge with Alison! | BIGGEST FOOD COURT IN JOHOR! | EATING EVERY SINGLE STALL?!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 кві 2022
- In this video, we did our first ever JB (Johor Bahru) food vlog! My producer found this lovely food court FGJB that's less than 2 minutes drive (10 minutes walk) from the customs so we decide to head in and do a little food challenge there.
This food court at is well-known for being a dinner/supper spot as most stalls open right around dinner and close near 12am. It's also a lot bigger compared to our local food courts in Singapore as this one's got over 50 stalls in total.
We got a total of over 18 dishes ranging from Penang Fried Kway Teow to Malaysia Style Wonton Noodles and the total cost adds up to be only 60-ish SGD! I do recommend this place due to it's cleanliness, value for money and also the ambience at night.
Check out FGJB Food Court at:
Lot 7713, No. 8-8B, Jalan Bukit Meldrum,
Tanjung Puteri, 80300 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

Awesome bro!
Loving this JB episode! Please do more!!!
Sure thing! KL next!
Glad to see Alison again!!
For the Vietnamese pancake or banh xeo, you're meant to get a lettuce leaf and add a bit of the pancake with the herbs and cucumber, wrap it up like a Korean saam and dip it in the nuoc mam, which is certainly a sauce which contains fish sauce, sugar, vinegar, garlic and Chillies.
Awesome shoot... Love the variety and Alison is a natural and eats well!
Thanks my man!

This array of food made me 🤤
Heh time to go visit JB bro
I like to see more of u collab with Alison. The way she reassure u with her reassurance 😊😅😂🤣
Hahaha thanks mate!
I'm here for Alison 😍
The legend mervin also makes an appearance. Lol her look when reminding you of taiwan at the end.
There are 2 types of Hokkien Mee in Malaysia. The one with soup is called Hokkien Mee whereas the one which is fried is called Hokkien Char & the Hokkien Char varies in different state. The ones in KL consists of fat noodles whereas the ones in Pg are mixture of that yellow noodle with beehoon
I’m amazed Alison shares the soup dishes so easily with you after you’ve washed your entire chopstick in it 😅
The food looks soooo nice (but can tell the environment quite hoooot) 😋 hehe so nice to see you both on the same show😆
Hahaha yes a bit warm!
wow!!!
That's incredible~😲😲😲😲
thank you for this awesome video😯
Saw your video and went this place w my friends! The burgers are really good 👍🏻

Thank you for showing us this fantastic JB Hawker place. Hopefully will be able to try it, next time we fly into S'pore, then JB from Perth, W.A.
Please come visit!
26:31 Alison trying to give inputs on the Kway tiao but Zermatt continues focusing on the prawn mee. 🤣
Alison again! She is so pretty!
🙌🙌
Mon rêve ❤️🥰❤️🥰🥰❤️
Malaysia hokkien mee got 2 versions. One is kl black hokkien mee & another one is soup hokkien mee from Penang (prawn noodles). Kl hokkien mee you need to eat once u got the food. It really taste different. When it turn cold, it will became oily and hard. Try it out if you happen to go KL. They use charcoal. Even nicer
Got it! Just ate the KL one - I'm at KL right now hahaha
Great couple 💑
You both look great together 😏😏😏
The hotdog, viet pancake and jeyukbokkeum looks good.
好喜欢你们的配搭,多来几集吧!。👍👍👍😘Alison 应该去试 kalIang Bahru block 57的鱼圆稞条汤。
好的👌👌
Great idea you get Alison to JB, as she offers different perspective of the foods. Perhaps have our friendly Malaysian friend in your next JB trip. Still a great video!!!
By the way "Fujian Mee" is available in all Zichar store in Singapore for more than 30 years.
Thank you brother! KL next!
Wahh how nice to go out of the country! Its been so long~
-Mev
Been so long!
More Alison!!!❤
Sureeee
Some Malaysian food you really have to go back to the respective state to get the authentic and original taste. Like hokkien mee, you need to try in KL, BKT in Klang, CKT in Penang. It really does taste different.
Great rapport there with Alison. Keep it up! Wld love to see more of her in your upcoming videos. Go go go!!! Btw, where is the Hong Lim video? Pls give Alison a nudge. Alison, 加油好嗎?😉
HAHA she's actually editing right now
Mitrzowie!🤤❤😍👊👏👌👍😘😊

Everytime the word cheap comes into play, HAHAHAHAHA.....

I’m guessing the price is bit high here and local seldom come here. With the border now open this place is gonna be swarm by Singaporean from now on.
Always Zermatt finish the food 🤭 nice to be out of SG for meals.

Yeah they open during covid
Zermatt going to JB is oppp. Rare sight
Yesss
there is actually 1 stall in Hong Lim Market selling duck confit
Hey zermatt i appreciate your videos and i like all of your series but can i suggest to include constant subtitles for all videos so it is more convenient thanks
I'll try coz at the moment don't have someone to sub for me and sub kills me editor lol
Do a food review for Ya wang in JB?
Welcome to Malaysia Zermatt, have been a huge fan for ages.
I hope you'll enjoy the food we have here 😊
Thanks brother! Appreciate the support. Do recommend me more places to visit in JB
@@ZermattNeo hahaha unfortunately I live all the way at Kl,don't think my recommendations would be good, if you drop by kl however I'll have some recommendations for you.
That being said one of my friends who stays at pontian which is nearby JB, said that their wan tan Mee is relatively different from others. Theirs is a bright orange colour from what I've heard.
@@leoyap123 I'm flying KL on Sunday! Shoot a dm maybe can meet up
@@ZermattNeo ohhh nice nice ahhhh unfortunately I work on Sunday.
On the top of my head, in regards to dai chow places, I would recommend
1. Sek Yuen at pudu.
For hawker style kind of food, I would recommend
1. ICC pudu
They are a breakfast brunch kind of place, sells out fairly early.
Look out for their hailan kopi, toast, nyonya kuih, chicken wine BAO and salted egg bao, basically similar to Singapore, go where the line is cause there are plenty of food stalls there and some of them are fairly mediocre.
For buffets
1. Shangri la hotel the lemon garden
2. Jagoya
Are a few of my personal favourites, tbh I really doubt the quality of the buffets here would surpass Singapore but can give it a shot cause it's so much cheaper here
These are some of the places I would recommend that have a wide variety of things to try.
@@ZermattNeo and oh yeah because this is the fasting month, I really recommend you drop by one of our bazaar ramadhan, the most popular one at kl is
Bazaar ramadhan ttdi, they have some really authentic and innovative Malay food
Bro, I hope to see Taipei, Tai Chung, Kao Shiong, Tai Nan 夜市美食 vlogs and also China's food vlogs. Seen Food Ranger and Blondie did foodie vlogs really yummilicious sia
Sure thing!
I see Alison, I click
Swee la
Singapore also have the same black colour Hokkien mee, u just go to any zi char stall. They have it alr. Unless u are referring to the FRIED Hokkien PRAWN mee tat have yellow noodle and bee Hoon. A lot of ppl tend to mix up between the two, cos names are similar. All the food looks so delicious sia! I don’t mind appearing on ur show sia, can get to enjoy so many delicious food at once! Shiok! I can eat a lot too, since I always eat buffet one! 🙋🏼♀️
HAHA the pre requisite is you'll need to be able to eat a lot, and vocal in front of the camera
@geraldine, 讲真的 black colour Hokkien mee also got 2 types.. sg zi char would more commonly serve Hokkien mee using flat yellow mee (used in lor mee) with dark gravy. Another type (less commonly offered but got chance to request it depending on luck) would be KL Hokkien mee (featured in this video), also known as dai luk meen 大碌面 which is thick, round and soft.
As a singaporean I enjoy KL mee better due to their lard + garlic + thick dark soya sauce combination. Which may be 重口味 for some folks
@@ZermattNeo Eat a lot confirm not an issue 🤣🤣🤣 I am always vocal anywhere, cos my voice is super loud 🤣🤣🤣
@@ngcollin88 Oh, I didn’t know tat. Wah, sounds like KL style Hokkien mee suits me better. I love pork lard!!! 😍 Singapore give too little pork lard alr, not satisfying for me. And some more 重口味 sia! Shiok! 🤤🤤
@@candytwins1 Are u Singaporean or Malaysian?
Hokkien mee u gotta go KL. Kuey Teow soup gotta be Penang. Great chemistry these 2.
I flying KL Sunday! Thanks boss
@@ZermattNeo Go ipoh and finally try Hakka mee.
Nice place I want to go there lol
Nice place to go to eat
This place is juz NEXT to the JB~Singapore Causeway Bridge❗ltz opposite R&F Shopping Centre and condos ( upstairs ) which caters to Singaporeans but now quiet due to pandemic. I think it opened laz year.
Yes sir!
Bro, 2 mins drive to reach FCJB via Tuas 2nd link or Woodlamd Causeway?
Woodlands one sir
Ahh finally borders are open, Brother can go to Malaysia or do a collab depends on your schedule and plan to do more of your eating or competitive eating. Do try to introduce the location to everyone whos viewing and also try both halal and non halal so everyone get to enjoy. Stay safe.
Sure thing sir! Will be coming in more often
喜歡Alison
Hope you come KL do some hawker or famous food. When will you be going for your next eating competition?
I'm flying KL in 2 days!
Wah, this 1 sure food coma maximus
