Why do we have a New Zealand Ref, reffing our game again when NZ are still in the running. What a bias. We should have a ref that is out of the cup. Id like to know out of curiosity. Bokke all the way

While it's a little problematic to have a Kiwi officiate a semi that could have a direct impact on the shape and results of a final, Ben O'Keefe was fair on Sunday and should hopefully be fair on Saturday. SA are in any case fielding a full-strength team so their plan is clearly to take the match out of the ref's hands. Easier said than done in a semi-final of the World Cup, but another smart move from their set up, which really is first-rate. The fact that we haven't seen Jacques all week is a sign of how seriously the SA coaching staff are taking the English.

From a refs perspective we have to question around how much value was added by TMO's

Exactly, soon we aren’t going to have a ref but a tmo instead who reviews every single passage of play. Call it and move on

thank GOD Jaco Piper is out.. a terrible referre. South Africa will be happy BOK is the ref.. they know how to to stay on side of the calls... and he allows the game to flow..unlike the terrible french refs; too pedantic.
