Hey everyone! I want to take a moment to clarify a mistake I made in the video about which parts of the chest are targeted by incline and decline push-ups. Here’s the correct information: Incline push-ups (hands elevated) target the lower chest. Decline push-ups (feet elevated) target the upper chest. A huge thank you to @lukeowens3544 for pointing this out-I really appreciate it! This was such a super basic mistake, and honestly, I don’t even know how I made it. I’m genuinely ashamed of myself for letting this slip through. That said, I want to emphasize that this was a small part of the video, and everything else in it is 100% accurate. To be transparent, I finalized the video late at night, which likely contributed to the oversight, but that’s no excuse. I take full responsibility and will make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. Your feedback helps me improve, and I’m incredibly grateful to have such an engaged and supportive community!
Yes! I just saw that myself, I am really ashamed for making such a basic error… But as mentioned I will make sure this never happens again. The rest of the video is perfect with no mistakes! I apologise for making this confusing
@@lukeowens3544 You’re absolutely right that the angle of the arms determines which part of the chest is targeted-arms angled down emphasize the lower pecs, and arms angled up emphasize the upper pecs. That’s a solid way to think about it! In the context of push-ups, the terms ‘incline’ and ‘decline’ can sometimes cause confusion. With incline push-ups (hands elevated), your arms are naturally angled down toward your body, so they work the lower chest more. On the other hand, decline push-ups (feet elevated) position your arms at an upward angle, focusing on the upper chest. It all ties back to the arm angle and how it lines up with the chest fibers. Hopefully, this clears up any confusion!
I’ll make sure to use simpler wording in the future. If you’re interested, you can check out the response I gave to @lukeowens3544 for more clarification!
@@GymHybrids. it’s nothing to do with words. The other day I saw hand downwards mean upper and hands upwards mean lower. Hence the confusion. I am not the professional but the professionals are confusing me big time. Don’t know who to follow anymore.
I have made a pinned comment addressing my mistake as well as updated the description of the video. My apologies for making the mistake! I assure you that this will NEVER happen again! All of the information in my videos is accurate this is my first and final mistake, you have my word.
I realize the word 'elevated' may have caused some confusion, and my editor didn’t present the information as clearly as I intended. You’re absolutely right-decline push-ups don’t target the lower chest. That was a mistake on my part! I’ll make sure to review videos more carefully before posting to ensure the information is accurate and clear. Thank you for pointing this out-I really appreciate it. To be honest, I was finalizing the video late at night, which contributed to the error. While that’s not an excuse, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. Aside from that mistake, the rest of the video’s information is correct. Thanks again for your understanding and for helping me improve!

I rewatched the parts of the video
You have them both backwards in the video

@ I enjoy your videos 🤘
I made a pinned comment and also added this in the description of the video
Incline and decline pushups are very confusing. The other day I saw a video saying incline is for lower chest and decline is for upper.
His video is wrong
Arms angled down is lower pec
Arms angled up upper pec

Explain how a decline push-up is for lower chest🤣🤣🤣🤣
