I agree my retired fellow carpenter. I finished my kitchen this time last year and the crown is still not up. I look at it every day and say "YUK". Some day it will get done in spite of myself.
Me too, Matt - I've also been following since day 1 !! It's been so exciting to see things being installed and I salute you on the details !! Both you and Donovan have been sticklers on being precise with both measurements and details !! Beautiful results !!
Absolutely incredible work, Matt! You may be a log slabbing, dovetail cutting woodworker, but you’ve played finish carpenter like a true pro. I literally do this day and day out, and I’m nothing short of impressed!
Matt, I have watched you and Donavan build this addition from the very start and I just want to say it looks fantastic. I can't wait to see the rest of the remodeling get completed.
Outstanding!! The vision was accomplished beautifully! Once the inside (during the winter months) is completed, a few colorful planting can be made to provide a spectacular view with the barn in the background. Don't take me the wrong way, it is a very pleasing view now, but a flowering Red Horse Chestnut, a few small lilacs and Thread Mop Cypress (yellow/orange year around) with some low perennials and hearty roses would make it jaw dropping. See a local Landscape Architect and have the view match the awesomeness of the room. It was worth all your effort!
Congratulations Matt, Lindsay and of course Donavan. The attention to detail really does make all the difference to the finish and has resulted in a very clean, nicely trimmed room... Stellar work! A tip for using caulk or silicone, use a plastic shim/spacer to smooth off the bead. The radius is very consistent and prevents mould growth (from a wet finger), especially on silicone.
It's hard to believe the barn got finished before the sun room. The barn wasn't public to us until after the framing was done for the addition. It's good to see in finally finished and looking forward to the rest of the kitchen to be finished.
Matt, I have watched every minute of this project, from screwing in the ground anchors to today, and now I understand the painstakingly meticulous consideration taken by Rembrandt or Michelangelo or Dostoevsky. This is a masterpiece. Congratulations sir, on a job well done! Now, stop slacking off and let’s get that kitchen finished 😆 Oh, and a Very Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family! 🎄
This room is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Many happy hours will be spent there with family and friends. Years from now your kids will proudly show your grandkids what grandpa made.
Yes I agree the painting prep work is Very important. The final product looks sweet! Now you have to take some time to let the skin grow back on your fingers. LOL That was a massive workout but worth it. Very happy, as you are, to see it finished. Very nice work and enjoy your sunroom as we do with our house. Its a great place to get centered and then move on to other projects.
Your attention to detail is amazing. I think it would be hard to find a contractor to do that quality of work - and hard to pay for it if you could find one !
Your attention to detail is extraordinary...I hope you spend some time with the garden outside of the windows.....beautiful stone work, with boulders and elegantly pruned junipers [cloud pruned and similar] with limited flowering shrubs [hydrangea] and seasonal potted colour would be good....and if possible, 3 evenly spaced Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' ....
Lookin good Matt. It’s nice to see how you reinforced that scarf joint. I highly doubt an off the street trim guy would do that. You want it right, do it yourself
Matt, Your attention to detail is amazing, although not unexpected. Two tongue-in-cheek comments. 1st, I am somewhat surprised, yet relieved, that Cremona and caulking are in the same video. 2nd, I'll bet there are a lot of Imron-painted aircraft out there with paint jobs not as nice as your sunroom! All the best and Merry Christmas!
Congrats! One more thing to check off the list. What a great job on the trim work. You treated it as a largest furniture build. Again, great job. I bet you it will be one of the most used rooms of your home next to the kitchen.
It is an amazing space, and all the effort and thought that went into it is impressive! The little sliver return jogs in the cove molding are quintessential!
Dude, you and Donovan dug a hole in the ground. Now you have a gorgeous room with an amazing view. Very few of us can say that. I hope you take a moment every day and remind yourself, I am awesome.
This and all preceding videos on this room are a must see for any aspiring finish carpenter vocationsl student. Your attention to details shows up in your final product. I'm sure your kitchen videos will be the same.
Tip on coping, handle down under the stick and teeth pointing down towards handle. Will eliminate grinder.
The Sunroom looks absolutely fantastic; All the effort and attention to "tons" of detail paid off! Very nice project; Thanks! for sharing.
That is beautiful. All the hard work and a mountain of time spend, has paid for. Well thought and executed. Shout out to Donavon too.
Good Morning Cremona Family.
Happy wood working 💪 ❤
I liked the reference to symphony
Seeing this makes me so happy to be a retired carpenter

Hahaha
Matt obviously you know what you are doing because every piece you cut fits to perfection
That looks great! I've been following your progress on this from Day 1 and it is good to see everything come together.
Me too, Matt - I've also been following since day 1 !! It's been so exciting to see things being installed and I salute you on the details !! Both you and Donovan have been sticklers on being precise with both measurements and details !! Beautiful results !!
Merry Christmas to you all.
Well Done !
Absolutely incredible work, Matt! You may be a log slabbing, dovetail cutting woodworker, but you’ve played finish carpenter like a true pro. I literally do this day and day out, and I’m nothing short of impressed!

Good to see you have some apprentices! You are going to have the best trimmed home in the USA!
It great when you have a young trainee apprentice to help get the work done
Simply .. Wow!

That’s a ton of work.
The results show it.
Congratulations, Matthew, on a job well done. The results are beautiful, and it is a joy to watch a craftsman at work. Thanks for sharing!

The only thing more beautiful than that room is you Matt!
Matt: When you say complete you mean complete.. Beautiful room.

Hey, it's just trim. How long could it take?
Matt, your work and perfection is spot on!! Absolutely beautiful work sir!!
Thank you!
Beautiful sun room finish. Great detail work. As always -- impressive.
Thank you very much!

Oh, and a Very Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family! 🎄
I had a similar realization
Beautiful labor of love.
Outstanding job! Kudos to you for your attention to detail!
Thanks!
lol the particular cabinet maker head space emerges in the form of tiny return pieces where a trim carpenter would leave the bevel 😂 love it nice work
Beautiful details.
awesome!
Spectacular I know your family is ready to use this.
This room is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Many happy hours will be spent there with family and friends. Years from now your kids will proudly show your grandkids what grandpa made.
Looks great! Can’t wait to see more of the kitchen.
Wow! Wow! Wow!!🤩🤩🤩 Absolutely gorgeous. You sir, are a true craftsman.
23:21 OK, we are suitably impressed by you casually whipping out the largest hand held router in the known universe.
Matt ... you are the perfectionist's perfectionist!!

Exactly as you said, the ideal here is for all that detail to vanish. Well done, sir!
It’s beautiful.
Your attention to detail is amazing. I think it would be hard to find a contractor to do that quality of work - and hard to pay for it if you could find one !
Team work! I love your sunroom and the view, your property is very nice..Lyndsey has a great place for a cup of coffee.

Matt, the Sun Room looks fantastic. Nice job.
Absolutely beautiful. Love the detail and of course the craftsmanship that has gone into it.
What a beautiful room. I've watched every video in this series and enjoyed every minute.
Dominoes into crown moulding! I can't even imagine the setup needed to do that. This job is really looking great!
Lookin good Matt. It’s nice to see how you reinforced that scarf joint. I highly doubt an off the street trim guy would do that. You want it right, do it yourself
Absolutely a magical transformation. Looks a million. Congrats Matt.

I prefer glue and 23g pins for the smaller mouldings. saves so much time filling pin holes. beautiful work as always Matt.
I used 23ga on the paneling. Filled them all
Absolutely stunning space!
Great work! The details that you put into your work are really shining through as you check things off the punch list. Beautiful!
Love the passion that you bring to your work, the finished product shows your talent, congratulations!
Very nice!
Dude, you and Donovan dug a hole in the ground. Now you have a gorgeous room with an amazing view. Very few of us can say that. I hope you take a moment every day and remind yourself, I am awesome.
