People criticising him because he’s not great at interviewing...? I find him so refreshingly humble and nice. Incredible athlete. Good on him. Thanks Andy and Piers.
the purpose of the video was to have a top competitor explain what he's doing ... he just plain did not say one specific, unambiguous statement ... not one ... just rambling nonsense ... and an attrocious swing that nobody should attempt to replicate ... a house of cards, with kinks and twists and bending his wrist, angling his address ... 6'4 and a walloping, athletic swing ... and a lot of "oh gee, 85% ... never full effort" ... pfft! ... his swing with the irons is a lot more like a real player's swing, but there's nothing to learn from this unless you're the same build and you're already hitting two buckets of balls in the morning before work
I love this video till this day. People don’t realize how hard it can be to put “feel” into words when your at this high of a level. What a class act DJ is.
It really is amazing how laid back he comes across even though he works so hard at his craft. Quite a contrast. He’s actually quite an interesting character if you think about it.
i Think his swing is the ultimate swing nowdays, the clubhead Square thrue the hole swing, i tryed it today, straight and good ball strike, thanks DJ and meandmygolf.
liked this guy and Rors as well..free flowing, not too technical, knows a little thats there to know about what they do better than most.. Great stuff guys..learnt stay within yourself
WOW! that was great. D.J. sure is a nice guy. I will have to start pulling for him and today is a good day to start. It is 7:15 a.m. CST June 10, 2018 and he is going into the last round at Memphis with the lead I do believe. Good luck D.J. and thank you two guys very very much. I really enjoyed this.
8:02 is the key and I agree with DJ. When you swing this way the face feels square and you can really have confidence to rip into the ball. The release just keeps it square even though you are swinging left after hitting the ball
Another brilliant video. Great job. It's refreshing how honest and down to earth DJ is. I don't understand why people on here feel the need to criticise and complain. So what if TM is advertised?? No-one is forcing you to go out and buy one.
He is very cool, thanks for the kind words about the video! The purpose of the video isn’t equipment we just want to give you guys an insight to the minds of these tour pros and how they think
Great interview. I saw DJ at a practice round at Bautstrol in 2016. Awesome power. His game has elevated with a better short game. Tip for everyone his max driver swing is 90%.
It’s because we all start with a slice and immediately learn to hate anything that spins right. I always play a draw and hate anything other than a draw lol
@@xJae14x Pretty sure Jack Nicklaus did ok with a fade. So did Couples and Trevino and many other like Colin Montgomerie and Bruce Lietzke (actually a slice) .
wickedly refreshing.. what a great sounding guy. he makes it a lot simpler than what these bloody swing gurus try to incorporate technique wise into the interview. you can't isolate the golf swing. it's a whole.
It's hard not to like DJ, I've seen a lot of his interviews and seen him play in person a number of times, never once has he been rude or condescending to anyone
I didn't like DJ when he first came onto the scene with his cocky strut and emotionless demeanor, but the more I listen to him talk, the more I realize he's just a down to earth humble guy who loves to golf. Can't wait to see him play at Augusta this year.
Awesome episode. With all the different aspects of a golf swing it was pretty interesting to hear him talk about focusing on the club face and letting everything else take care of it's self. Makes it sound easy haha.
do the club path numbers stand for backswind and through swing ?? like at -3.5 does that mean he swings in and on the second number it says + 1.2 does that say that he has an in to out swing there?
At 2:07 Dustin called it the sim 3. So clearly they have these drivers planed out and manufactured years in advanced. This is the launch of the m3 m4. The m5 and m6 weren’t even out yet. Interesting!
Such a cool video. Looks like he's starting out red hot again with the win yesterday at the tournament of champions. He's my favorite this year at Augusta. Stay healthy
The problem he has at Augusta is that he’s playing a cut, Augusta demands a right to left shot more often than not, plus his putting, although it’s good is not of the charts. I still think he’s going to win a major this year and the fedexcup, still going to be n1.
Seen it before with interviews with DJ, He can't really put into words what he does...because he doesn't really think about it...he just swings at it, natural talent... That's why he has some unique features in his swing, he just goes with what his body etc wants to do...
He’s just so relaxed in showing us the proper posture to do a golf swing. No wonder why Dustin Johnson is number one in the official world golf ranking.️⛳️😲
DJ's numbers are insane, he doesn't look like he's absolutely killing the ball yet he hits it so far and has such high club speed and ball speed. Personally I prefer watching Rory, but DJ's athleticism and ability are really unquestionably impressive.
What a nice guy he is😳 I really enjoyed watching the video, DJ and you guys. It would be a dream come true being in a flight with DJ and the both of you!!!
I always appreciate how genuine, humble he is and I get it, he is a golfer, not a polished TV presenter. However, people are here to watch him golf, not him be charismatic. His charisma is his golf. Also, noticed the number of different camera angles and different optics used. Two or three cameras have VERY good optics and focus, there are at least two cameras which seem to be too soft due to the optics limitations. Needless movement, panning etc.
People criticising him because he’s not great at interviewing...? I find him so refreshingly humble and nice. Incredible athlete. Good on him. Thanks Andy and Piers.
DJ was great to deal with. Always nice to get to meet and spend time with such incredible talent.
For real bro this dude is a savage he just seems like a chill dude everybody loves to criticize
Agree. Remember watching Taylormade outside the ropes documentary and thinking he's just a normal/laidback guy with a great talent
Yep
the purpose of the video was to have a top competitor explain what he's doing ... he just plain did not say one specific, unambiguous statement ... not one ... just rambling nonsense ... and an attrocious swing that nobody should attempt to replicate ... a house of cards, with kinks and twists and bending his wrist, angling his address ... 6'4 and a walloping, athletic swing ... and a lot of "oh gee, 85% ... never full effort" ... pfft! ... his swing with the irons is a lot more like a real player's swing, but there's nothing to learn from this unless you're the same build and you're already hitting two buckets of balls in the morning before work
Best line from this. "Golf swing is only this big" that says more than anything anyone can teach you.
DJ, “that was my left miss but still dead straight” haha
I love this video till this day. People don’t realize how hard it can be to put “feel” into words when your at this high of a level. What a class act DJ is.
So happy you like it Tony!! 🙌👌
watching this the Wednesday after he won the Masters in 2020. The power of visualization w that shot at the end right there
speaks softly and carries a big stick, love the quiet confidence as he just goes about killin' it
It really is amazing how laid back he comes across even though he works so hard at his craft. Quite a contrast. He’s actually quite an interesting character if you think about it.
This fellow is just one very likeable Man: absolutely no BS.
Thanks for this!
his comment at 8:22 was sheer brilliance-great simplicity-full of truth.
"Yea, I mean, that was just a stock, smooth fairway finder." says Dustin Johnson after a 336 yard drive.
Thanks for following my page. May God bless you and your family!!!Kindlly Add me up on WhatsApp..731-236-1230 or Text me here...615-647-5097
And now you did it DJ. You conquered Augusta, in style!
Love how DJ is such a 'not give an F' type of a dude.....and becomes the best player in the world. Amazing
DJ sounds like he picked up golf while he was hitting on beer cart girls then decided to be good that day.
he probably did, super athletic, and instinctive body control
The one you wanted to win, you won. Congrats! Can't wait to see many more.
Thanks for the special content Andy and Piers! DJ is unstoppable if dials in his wedge and putter as shown in Hawaii.
Thanks George. Glad you enjoyed it.
Humbleness: the signature of champions. It was just a matter of time to become number 1 and he deserves it more than anyone else.
Unbelievable having World number one on your Channel guys congrats. The day you get Tiger on here is the day you get to 1M subscribers
Harry Flower Golf shut up Harry
that Is some seriously abusive language bro
Might be a Harry Potter reference
Dang, Joseph!
Come see my channel
This is awesome looking back after The Masters this year!!
Top guy!
So laid back
i Think his swing is the ultimate swing nowdays, the clubhead Square thrue the hole swing, i tryed it today, straight and good ball strike, thanks DJ and meandmygolf.
Jesus!!! Rory and now DJ?! You guys are killing it!! Thank you and keep it up!

What an athlete! Most Ive ever heard him elaborate on his swing and the changes he made the past couple years. Thanks much guys!
I think everyone was dying for you to ask him to hit a huge bomb at full tilt ! Thanks guys for getting time with the God of the driver #1 DJ.
MrTkeddo I know I was.... Was praying they would say 'go on... Hit one has hard as you can'
They totally bottled it. Lol
Did you check all the numbers he hit there? They were all bombs 😂
About the best DJ interview/chat I've seen..well done guys.
8:02 is the key and I agree with DJ. When you swing this way the face feels square and you can really have confidence to rip into the ball. The release just keeps it square even though you are swinging left after hitting the ball
Sweet! Amazing swing. I hope to watch DJ win this year! Thanks, guys.
Having DJ on the day after a blowout win. I would call that good timing!
Kyle Goins pretty sure it was recorded prior and the guys decided to post the video after the win 👍
They announced it on their Instagram at least 3 or 4 days ago
If it was straight after a win I think they would have congratulated him on camera or at least mentioned it, so prob recorded awhile ago.
Very good timing!!
DJ is a nice guy. Incredible move! Nice interview guys.
Another brilliant video. Great job. It's refreshing how honest and down to earth DJ is. I don't understand why people on here feel the need to criticise and complain. So what if TM is advertised?? No-one is forcing you to go out and buy one.
DJ is a very cool guy. So glad he made it to number 1. Good video (although I myself am a Titleist man).
You can't accuse DJ of overthinking things !
a lot of golfers could learn from that
ya know
Ya know
A nice little bit of insight into how he plays and thinks. Would be great to see some more of these.
I have never figured out the fascination with hitting draws. A power fade like that is a real thing of beauty.
Great video. Using ball track helped a lot, and your analysis while talking w/ DJ was spot on. Thank you!
Nice to see the growth your guy's channel has had the past few years! Enjoyed the video with DJ, impressive to have the World #1 on the channel.
Piers and Andy once again thanks for presenting the world number one! Learnt few things from you guys talking to him!
Fantastic interview guys. DJ is just so laid back he's positively horizontal....what a swing even at 85% !!!
12:30 to 12:50. 11/15/20- It happens in about 12hrs. Congratulations! Your ball striking ability and mental strength were unmatched this week. Baller
wickedly refreshing.. what a great sounding guy. he makes it a lot simpler than what these bloody swing gurus try to incorporate technique wise into the interview. you can't isolate the golf swing. it's a whole.
What would you do to hit that fairway? Would you hit a cut?
Dustin's answer is my overall approach to golf
13:11
Dustin seems like a really cool guy. Like his candor, and with his new fade approach to the game he appears to be more consistent.
How awesome it’s a privilege to see these athletes sharing their thoughts and bombing those drivers. Thank you Andy & Piers 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
13:58 came true and he piped that fade...only difference was he was winning by FIVE lol
Lol “hit me another one” as he was hitting one anyway ha
Fernando Barbosa probably a second take (edited video)
It's hard not to like DJ, I've seen a lot of his interviews and seen him play in person a number of times, never once has he been rude or condescending to anyone

Loved it. Thanks DJ!
Such a soft-spoken dude... you'd never know he could crush it to the moon just to hear him speak!
Awesome to hear him speak, a great interview. Thanks
RM, DJ and JD and you complete the ring!! great job guys!!
Thank you so much guys for this content, it's very interesting to know what they think, Rory's video too, beautiful content.
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!!
Soo nice to watch, again and again :-)
do the club path numbers stand for backswind and through swing ?? like at -3.5 does that mean he swings in and on the second number it says + 1.2 does that say that he has an in to out swing there?
Great work guys, keep the good videos coming!
At 2:07 Dustin called it the sim 3. So clearly they have these drivers planed out and manufactured years in advanced. This is the launch of the m3 m4. The m5 and m6 weren’t even out yet. Interesting!
Twist face technology???....I'm still working on twist hip drills!!!
you guys are legends, learned everything I know from you guys!!
Such a cool video. Looks like he's starting out red hot again with the win yesterday at the tournament of champions. He's my favorite this year at Augusta. Stay healthy

Djs swing in too lovely! Great video guys
keep it coming guys! enjoyed it very much
Glad you enjoyed it,.
When i grow up i wanna be just as chill as dustin johnson
DJ, what happens when you do that, make a bad swing?
I still hit it good...
The "whoosh" sound of DJ's practice swing he made before hitting a ball was inhuman. 😲 I can't believe it was just a "loosening up" swing!
You mean very Ric Flairish ? "WHOO-SH"!
Professional golfers think out of the box, and don't get bogged down with too much nonsense these golf coaches on you tube like to push.
@Shaun Kelly it helps a little when your 40 hour work week is spend playing golf and training to play more golf lol.
@timmy _ very true. Every tour player has a personal coach watching every single swing.
Timm- it is you- but stay in that box
Awesome video! I need to start thinking like DJ. As long as I can get the club square to the ball the look of the swing doesnt matter!
DJ is a God. Love this video boys.
wow what impeccable timing
What camera did you guys use or programs to get that cool 3d focusing effect?
The REAL "big easy". Great video. I picture the interviewers like the old cartoon chipmunks, Chip and Dale.
Really impressive work guys
Dude is effortless. What a swing.
Nice. DJ is an incredible driver! Interesting take on his wrist position that he does not do it on purpose and is natural.
A very cool vid guys. Getting inside the golf brain of DJ is an absolute privilege. Cheers boys
This would have been a better interview and video if you showed more slow-mo breakdowns of individual parts of his swing.
Try changing playback speed. Its how I get slow motion.
"Generally, I'm swinging probably 85% and I might go to 90%..." Sage advice.
Dustin “you know” Johnson
You really fucked my experience here buddy this is all I can think about now
Well... you know
Brian Mendoza, ya yer a head dude!😂
Seen it before with interviews with DJ,
He can't really put into words what he does...because he doesn't really think about it...he just swings at it, natural talent...
That's why he has some unique features in his swing, he just goes with what his body etc wants to do...
Awesome interview appreciate it so much, and D.J . thanks best of luck
WOW! Much respect getting DJ on. Great interview!

This weekend, DJ proved he can hit the ball enormous distances...he almost holed a drive...amazing
DJ's numbers are insane, he doesn't look like he's absolutely killing the ball yet he hits it so far and has such high club speed and ball speed. Personally I prefer watching Rory, but DJ's athleticism and ability are really unquestionably impressive.
Tiger has called DJ, golf's first real athlete, well said.
Awesome power.
Boys, love your work and great to see you at the PGA Show. Continued success my brothers. DJ's a physical phenom...nuts!
His recent tournament was amazing
What a nice guy he is😳 I really enjoyed watching the video, DJ and you guys. It would be a dream come true being in a flight with DJ and the both of you!!!

DJ praying for Augusta! Prayers answered!! november 15, 2020
Nice video. Masters, Augusta 2018. Wow!
Wow DJ... Awesome you raise the bar!
What a great video. DJ’s ball has just came down in my back garden.. I live in North East England!
Thanks Andy. Glad you liked it.
I like the new Camera work it looks so much better than the standard camera
Thanks TJ
What Video Cam did you use to shoot this video?
specifically the Cam setting from 12:01 to 12:05. thx.
Nice touch with the panning camera - almost has the unique shrunken focus effect.
This guy is really good, wouldn’t be surprised if he won the Masters one day.
He has. 2020.
@@mist3rwang missed that one a bit didn’t you?
