The world is full of misleading content related to law enforcement; accordingly, it's incredibly important to provide transparency, insight and context to educate and inform the public.
At this point the officer should stop talking and just arrest her.
It's because these "overseers" are so lazy they would rather spend 3 hours arguing on the side of the road with some random then have to deal with the extra paperwork and court time that comes with taking someone to jail. That's why in 90 percent of these videos these cops try and do anything they can to not have to take someone to jail until they have to. It's not because they are nice people or trying to do anyone a favor its because having to do that is more work for em. Most of the time the stops could be as simple as, this is what i saw, tell me your version of events, either i let you go or i give you a ticket, if you escalate and give me a reason to take you to jail.

@@Writer777-wanna_be. That is, indeed, a fantastic and easily implemented concept! It would, also, create more jobs nationwide. We do allow transcriptions of court proceedings to be the lawful document in print, and this would be no different with the body cam never being mutable or able to be powered off until back at the station or at the county jail. As soon as it is equal to being there, they really could take the paperwork off of the LEOs shoulders, since they almost ALWAYS lie anyway and write everything up with extreme bias and maybe even heightened adrenaline. Seriously...really great idea!

Dawg obviously no parent wants to see their child go to jail, and she had just walked out so she had no idea what was going on. So of course, she's going to take her side off rip but once she got a hold of the situation, you could see she was taking the officer's side more than her own daughters. She has clearly used that to get out of trouble before. One of my best friends growing up happened to have parents in law enforcement. I can tell you first hand he was let off for going 90+ plus in a 55mph. He was showing off his new v6 mustang to me haha. That was way back in 2006 before body cams so it was much easier for a cop to let off one of their colleagues kids. The officer was going to give him a ticket until my friend mentioned who his parents were. The officer gave him a warning and said he would be talking to his parents. His parents never said a word about it so the cop obviously didn't follow through on that.

The mom thought the officer was talking about a lake with the same name. Once the officer clarified she didn't say anything about that anymore. The mom tried protecting her child in a well behaved manner and tried to calm her daughter. I don't think the mom did anything wrong. If she did you can bet your ass the officer would have told her to go back in her house.

Where is it written a police officer has to justify his actions to a drunk who thinks she’s above the law because her Dad is a police officer.
It's on camera. His supervisor reviews his performance. The cop has to talk to the drunk. It's his job to communicate with people and let them know why they are arresting them.. It's called going through the motions. Besides, his coworker is also going to watch the video.

Police officers try to give people leeway so that they can’t argue to a judge or lawyer that they weren’t given a chance to comply. But if they can show that they gave individuals a lot of chances to comply with law enforcement, then they can’t get in trouble for utilizing force. A lot of charges can end up getting dropped if a judge determines that the police were being forceful or unfair.
